Anywho, the question is, my grandfather has a HP laptop, which for two years has been able to run through a Linksys switch to his router and connect its printers to his laptop. About two months ago it suddenly doesn't work like that. Now, it works fine if it plugs directly into the router/Ethernet. My uncle suggested that the switch was bad, but after testing the same port, cable and all, the switch worked well for him.   I assume you actually mean that you have a printer HP Photosmart 8250?

  One thing probably listed in these forums is to replace the printer inherited by a support by the manufacturer of equipment under an operating system, that you have chosen to run... That failed?  * smile *.

  Honestly - reviews and other for this printer back in 2004 I can say - it means that this printer is old enough (although more recent you).  I'm shocked they kept alive that long, really.  Looking at the Vista drivers and others, later are of March 2007, over 5 years.

  I think you you would save a lot of time and invest in a newer printer that is designed to work with modern operating systems, :-) grief

  There are questions about the compatibility of Windows 7 and DMA (as a few years ago). Linksys/Cisco, it has been verified that it is NOT officially supported. But some do work but not at full capacity. Hope that this would settle the question whether it is supported or not.

I need to scan documents in black and white or I will have to return the printer to the store and buy another brand that works with Mac.

  I understand that you are unable to Webscan using the award-winning Officejet 6700. I will do my best to help you! For this printer, it is the full features software that will allow you to use the HP software. Please follow these steps:

  Make sure your Apple to complete on your computer updates. Please follow this document Apple here to help you. Then, you want to repair the permissions of the drive to your computer here.

  If you are still unable to use the scanning software, then I recommend uninstalling the software. Once this done, please install full software features on the HP site here.

  I understand that you are no longer able to print with the P1006 on Win8.1.

  Did you first uninstall the P1006?

  If not uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.

  The two drivers are the same, if you look at the version on the Web site and should continue to work with the Win8.1.

  I can't get my wired Ethernet network HPOJ Pro k5400 work with Win7x64 PCs. The printer is correct because it works well with a PC Vistax64. The symptom of the problem is that the first page (or two if duplex) prints OK, but after that, the printer "freezes" and is no longer prints. The power lights and resume both blink simultaneously. The Red print cartridge lights permanently. Turn off the printer and then resets.

  To solve the problem I deleted the printer since the Win7 PC and re-installed, manually and automatically choose the driver. Also, I searched the web without success.

  Any ideas?

  Only the toolbar is not compatible with Firefox because BitDefender probably did not updated the toolbar. You can post on BitDefender forum for confirmation on the toolbar, when it will be updated, etc. BitDefender should still work in the background to protect you.

I know that installation works from other laptops in the House, and my laptop runs using an ethernet cable. The router is a Cisco DPC3825, if it has a limitation on anything whatsoever.   I have a late 2009 27 "iMac (Intel Core i5) and an Officejet 6310, connected via ethernet. I also have an iMac Core 2 Duo oldest on the same network that the 6310 works perfectly with. The iMac 27 "will not simply see the 6310. I installed the latest drivers Apple HO, I have reset the printing system in the printing preferences panel & Telec. In the P & F pref panel, I tried to install the printer using all 3 protocols (Line Printer Daemon - LPD, Internet Printing Protocol - IPP and HP Jetdirect Socket), I plug the verified address of PPI, I selected the generic Postscript printer and the HP 6300 series drivers and nothing works. When I run the HP utility, I get a message "192.168.1.104 is currently unavailable...". ».  When I try to print, the printer status box returns a message "host 192.168.1.104 network is busy, try again in 15 seconds".

  I couldn't get the standard URL to respond somehow.  I restarted my mac on a disc that has a version of Mac OS X (Leopard) and then used CiscoConnect without any problems. With this version of the software the Standard URL worked.
