  Well, I know that the issue is long-term... believe me, it's a long, but as they say, the devil is in the details. Anywho, the question is, my grandfather has a HP laptop, which for two years has been able to run through a Linksys switch to his router and connect its printers to his laptop. My uncle suggested that the switch was bad, but after testing the same port, cable and all, the switch worked well for him.   I assume you actually mean that you have a printer HP Photosmart 8250?

  One thing probably listed in these forums is to replace the printer inherited by a support by the manufacturer of equipment under an operating system, that you have chosen to run... That failed?  * smile *.

  Honestly - reviews and other for this printer back in 2004 I can say - it means that this printer is old enough (although more recent you).  I'm shocked they kept alive that long, really.  Looking at the Vista drivers and others, later are of March 2007, over 5 years.

  I think you you would save a lot of time and invest in a newer printer that is designed to work with modern operating systems, :-) grief

  There are questions about the compatibility of Windows 7 and DMA (as a few years ago). Linksys/Cisco, it has been verified that it is NOT officially supported. But some do work but not at full capacity. Hope that this would settle the question whether it is supported or not.

I need to scan documents in black and white or I will have to return the printer to the store and buy another brand that works with Mac.

  Make sure your Apple to complete on your computer updates. Please follow this document Apple here to help you. Then, you want to repair the permissions of the drive to your computer here.

  If you are still unable to use the scanning software, then I recommend uninstalling the software. Once this done, please install full software features on the HP site here.

I'm gone on the site and downloaded the latest driver who said that it would work with 8.1. After that it has been installed the printer still doesn't work. When I go into the control panel and see the printer it tells me that no driver is found. Help

  I understand that you are no longer able to print with the P1006 on Win8.1.

  Did you first uninstall the P1006?

  If not uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.

  The two drivers are the same, if you look at the version on the Web site and should continue to work with the Win8.1.

  I can't get my wired Ethernet network HPOJ Pro k5400 work with Win7x64 PCs. The printer is correct because it works well with a PC Vistax64. The symptom of the problem is that the first page (or two if duplex) prints OK, but after that, the printer "freezes" and is no longer prints. The power lights and resume both blink simultaneously. The Red print cartridge lights permanently. Turn off the printer and then resets.

  To solve the problem I deleted the printer since the Win7 PC and re-installed, manually and automatically choose the driver. Also, I searched the web without success.

  Any ideas?

• Wireless camera does not work with the new router

  Hello, I'm having a problem with a camera D-Link DCS932L after you set up the EA4500.  The manual of the camera can be found here.

  It worked fine with my old D-Link router.  The rest of the House has not had a problem with the EA4500.  There is a level of criticality around this camera certail and if I can't make it work, I'll have to return the router.  Configure the redirection of port as 5556 ~ 5559, TCP protocol (but I tried "Both" as well"with the IP address of the camera.  It still does not work.

  I craft but not in networks, i.e. I'm not stupid with tech but port quarrels is out of my comfort zone.  This camera with our old router setup took minutes.  I spent five hours trying to make it work on the EA4500.

  I guess you have the static IP value, or having a reserve of DHCP MAC address for the camera, network OK settings.

  What was the authentication wireless on the old router and that you use the new 4200?

  Is it possible that the camera does not support the encryption used by the 4200, i.e. wpa2-personal?

  Have you tried WEP to see if the unit works then?

• E3000 won't handshake with the edge router

  Recently, I bought new E3000. I place the E3000 with edge router static IP address rather DCHP which seemed failing at the same IP address and DNS. Associated with the E3000 laptops have their own IP which differ from the IP address of the border router. E3000 is configured with firewall No. minimum protection, for now. The reason for a minimum protection was to get the handshake between the two routers. The border router is a product of Verizon. The old router I was using is a Netgear who did the handshake with the edge router. I have the latest firmware for the E3000 version of the Firmware: 1.0.04)is build 6. Router will not handshake with wired connections or wireless. Used to connect to the E3000 laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate.  In fact, all laptops here use the same OS and connect wirelessly. I've tried the package of software provided on the site, which housed a diagnosis that apparently could not solve the problem as well. I have not idea about why E3000 not handshake with the edge router. Can we make a few suggestions. Thank you to all those who respond.

  What is the IP address of the router Verizon? What you write suggests that the Verizon router uses 192.168.1.1. If this is the case, establish the E3000 as a switch simple ethernet access point as follows:

  1. disconnect the E3000 from the Verizon router.
  2 wire a single computer in the E3000.
  3. open the web interface at http://192.168.1.1/ (or whatever the IP address you put it now).
  4. on the main configuration page, make sure that your type of internet connection is on "auto/DHCP.
  5. on the same page, set the LAN IP address to 192.168.1.2.
  6. on the same page, disable the DHCP server.
  7. save the settings.
  8 unplug the computer and one of the LAN ports numbered from the E3000 wireless to your router to Verizon.

  That's all. Now, you can use the E3000 as access point and you can use the remaining 3 LAN ports for wired devices.

  I back to FF 33 to 32 FF because TabGroups Manager 2011.11.28.1 failed. I've tried RESETTING FF, new profile, all deleted Add ons, TGM clean install and it still has not. I go back to 32 FF and everything is great. I realize, or so it seems that TGM is no longer a recognized extension and is not perfect but it's a great manager tab with more than 20 K users group last time I looked. I hope that fix you the problem in FF 33 so it does not work. I can't image using FF without TGM. Why don't build you something like TGM in a new version of FF? Forward a solution before I have to switch browsers. Thank you

  Only the toolbar is not compatible with Firefox because BitDefender probably did not updated the toolbar. You can post on BitDefender forum for confirmation on the toolbar, when it will be updated, etc. BitDefender should still work in the background to protect you.

  Firefox has a feature similar to the main function of most security application toolbars to you away from phishing and malware sites. I do not use the toolbar that comes with my security, but instead of this application depends on the component of safe browsing in Firefox.
