I have a HP deskjet printer 3510 and I use a HP with Windows 7 desktop computer. My printer cannot print from the computer, and he repeats to me than "ink cartrides are missing" tri color and black. I replaced the cartridges and and clean. When iIcheck the ink levels via the printer it self he is saying they are full, and the pritner will make copies of photo, used still print from the computer.

    Hi @jackiew2x2,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that your HP Deskjet 3510 will not print and the computer says that the ink cartridges are missing. I'm happy to help you with this printing problem!

Please have a look through this general printing guide, your HP printer print jobs are stuck in the print queue.

Also, I'd take a glance through this guide, a "cartridge problem," "Ink cartridge failed", not "compatible ink cartridges", or "Cartridge missing or damaged" Error Message is displayed on the control panel.

Hope one of these guides to help and have a great day!

Hello Moor_lady, if you are using Windows 7, you can try to reset your printer wireless.

Go to control panel of configuration, devices, and printer and in the menu bar above, select Add a printer in the lower option, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

There should be another window that shows all available printers to be added. See if your wireless network printer can be found. If so, select this option and continue the process.

  • MX340 wireless scan but will not print wireless

I had this printer running on Win 8.1 for some time and had never been able to get wireless working.    I was delighted when I met recently with the fact that Canon had finally provided drivers for win 8.1 so I installed them.  I set up the wireless and has been able to analyze something wireless.    I try to print at this time, but later (overnight?) I tried to print and it tells me that the printer is disconnected.   It will scan without plugging in to my laptop but it seems to connect properly.   The scanner and the printer work with two different wireless connectors?

It's very frustrating because I use the laptop in the House and I could really use the wireless function.   It prints without a problem with the usb connection.

    Windows 8.1

I tried all versions of the printer I could find available (2), but that doesn't seem to make a difference.   I solved my problem by uninstalling all versions of my canon printer and all the drivers and programs that I could find related to these printers and starting from scratch.   Not sure what I did differently this time, but I am now able to scan and print wireless.   Yes!

Thanks for any help.  (took me a while to get to this...)

  • New HP Photosmart D110 do not print wireless

I have a new HP Photosmart D110a and have successfully set up and everything seems OK to print until I have try to disconnect from the computer to move.  It says it is connected wireless: the blue light is on, the wireless says wireless network test report is on and working, she carries the correct network name (ssid), Network Setup page indicates an active connection Wi - Fi ready.  However, it does not print if I disconnect the wired USB connection.  I paid extra for the wireless printer so I could place away from the computer so I would really like to get this matter resolved.  Other data that may be useful: computer HP m91000t with Vista 32, which is also connected to a cable modem comcast through a new netgear router wireless.  I tried to turn off the Norton firewall and it will still not print wireless.  All software provided with the printer appear to install correctly.  I tried to use Vista 'add printer' now there's a second printer in printers in Control Panel, one that says "series of HP Photosmart D110 and added one that says: ' HP78EF1A (series of HP Photosmart D110);" " I would like to delete any printer is not necessary.  I can print wired form or printer.

Your computer thinks that the printer is connected via USB.  You must add a version of it for wireless printing.  Here's how:

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the host name of the printer (found on the network printer configuration report the generated above). Click Next.
If you get a message about required additional Port information, then the printer is not found using the host name. You can go back and start over or using the IP address of the printer instead of the host name.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file that begins with hp and ends with ".inf". Click Open, and then click OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Make a choice and click Next.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.
    12. click on finish.

A call back to Epson says my Windows Firewall blocks printing Epson Status Monitor and by disabling the firewall every thing returns to normal.  Turning on the firewall without exception is still no difference and I should contact Microsoft for that matter.

If the application works when the firewall is disabled, but not when the firewall is turned on, so you must create an exception for the application.

I don't know what you mean by "turning on the firewall without exceptions still makes no difference" - no difference of what?

You must determine the name of print Epson Status Monitor, then go to control panel > Windows Firewall (if your control panel is using "Category view", you will find Windows Firewall in the Security Center).

Once in the Firewall dialog box, click the Exceptions tab, click the button "Add a program" and find printing Epson Status Monitor.  If it is not in the list that appears, click on the button "Browse".  After selecting the program and click OK, make sure that on the general tab of the Firewall properties dialog box that the "do not allow the box exceptions" is NOT checked.

  • DeskJet 3510 will not scan wireless on OS 10.9

I have a 3510 Deskjet which worked fine wirelessly on my old Mac with Snow Leopard. I recently bought a new IMac with OS Mavericks 10.9.5. The printer will print wireless but not scan wireless. It will scan only with the attached USB cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the HP software. When I disconnect the USB it is said that the wireless connection cannot be found. I have reset the wireless connection, and it's good. What I'm missing here?

    Hey @hellis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the scanning wireless problem you encounter on your Mac OS X 10.9.5 operating system with your HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled and tested via USB cable without success. Right now I'm going to guide you through some additional troubleshooting for this problem to scan wireless.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

First of all, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac computer. This will remove any printer of your printed folder and Scan, but does not uninstall printers. You must use other printers once the reset complete simply click on the (+) sign more to add than these other printers back into your Mac. Make sure they are connected via a connection by USB cable or network. Do not add your Deskjet still back in.

Please click here to know how to reset the printing system. Just follow the steps to "reset the printing in OS X Lion system"

Once the reset is complete, please select: uninstalling the printer software and race through the steps in Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9 for the method that you used to install your printer.

Once the printer is uninstalled, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

Step 4: Reinstall your software and drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
    2. Click on the download button
    3. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once the reinstallation is completed, please make sure that your printer is added to your Mac with the appropriate driver. Avoid the Airprint driver because it allows that capacity print based and not scanning.

    1. click on the menu Apple and then click on System Preferences.

    2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the list of Printers .

    3. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer. Once the printer is deleted, click the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer with Hello , like the kind.

    4. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu.

    5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Source: Install your HP printer driver and software for Mac OS X

Once the printer is reinstalled successfully by using the correct driver, please test the printing and scanning functionality.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided resolve your scan wireless problems. Good luck!

  • Help! Deskjet 3050 1 does not print wireless

I have a Dell computer, windows Vista and have had my printer for 5 months, working wireless no problem.  All of a sudden it will not work wireless, but will work with a USB key in.  The blue light on the printer wireless is enabled and the IP address appears on the small screen on the printer.  Is it always the case that there is something wrong with the printer itself and I need to return it? I'm not very high on the commands from the computer, but have not done something strange to change anything.  If I try to print something, the printer on my computer icon shows just job in the meantime.  I deleted the work he did not print.  Any help would be appreciated.

OK, your printer is properly connected to your router.  You don't need the USB cable.  Unplug unit.

    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the IP address of the printer. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.

HP Officejet 4620/Windows Vista. No error message. Problems started after installing new memory cards and drives. I followed the instructions to the letter several times, without success. When I click on the "Print" button, all I get is a window popping up labelled "HP Officejet 4620 (network); below is a blue dot/circle with an exclamation point in the middle. to the right of that, "BOLD" letters that say 'the printer is ready. below is a message, "click OK to continue." at the bottom right of this window is the bar/button "OK". When you click on this button (that I have to hurry because the window flashes market again and again!), the window disappears and nothing happens: no error message, warning or any communication.  At the end of the day, I tried to connect the printer cable USB (nine) and got the same window. It makes me NUTS. The person said tech (friend) who has installed cards and disks to the IP address of the printer keeps rolling. • OfficeJet Pro 6830: MacBook Pro does not print wirelessly for Officejet Pro 6830

I used to have an old HP Officejet 7210 who was once able to print wirelessly from my MacBook pro, but at some point, wasn't able to do wireless and had to print with usb connection.

For Black Friday, we bought an Officejet Pro 6830 and on internet I downloaded the latest driver for my MacBook Pro and my windows laptop of wifes and our desktop PC. The mobile office and windows had no problem, but once more, I was not able to print wireless from the MacBook Pro. When I try to print wireless the printer dialogue indicates he's trying to deal with and then it says "the printer is currently in use". So I'll still have to plug the USB to print with this new printer is less than a month.

I was able to print the wireless test page and he noted that the test page bypassed print drivers. In addition, I am able to go into the printer utilities and see how much ink, I have and the various settings of the printer but I just cannot print documents from applications wireless.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
