DeskJet 3510 will not scan wireless on OS 10.9

I have a 3510 Deskjet which worked fine wirelessly on my old Mac with Snow Leopard. I recently bought a new IMac with OS Mavericks 10.9.5. The printer will print wireless but not scan wireless. It will scan only with the attached USB cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the HP software. When I disconnect the USB it is said that the wireless connection cannot be found. I have reset the wireless connection, and it's good. What I'm missing here?

Hey @hellis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the scanning wireless problem you encounter on your Mac OS X 10.9.5 operating system with your HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled and tested via USB cable without success. Right now I'm going to guide you through some additional troubleshooting for this problem to scan wireless.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

First of all, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac computer. This will remove any printer of your printed folder and Scan, but does not uninstall printers. You must use other printers once the reset complete simply click on the (+) sign more to add than these other printers back into your Mac. Make sure they are connected via a connection by USB cable or network. Do not add your Deskjet still back in.

Please click here to know how to reset the printing system. Just follow the steps to "reset the printing in OS X Lion system"

Once the reset is complete, please select: uninstalling the printer software and race through the steps in Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9 for the method that you used to install your printer.

Once the printer is uninstalled, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

  1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
  2. Go to the Utilities folder
  3. Open disk utility
  4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
  5. Select verify disk permissions
  6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

  1. Go to the Apple
  2. Select System Preferences
  3. Select software update
  4. Click update now
  5. Install your available updates
  6. Computer restart

Step 4: Reinstall your software and drivers:

  1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
  2. Click on the download button
  3. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once the reinstallation is completed, please make sure that your printer is added to your Mac with the appropriate driver. Avoid the Airprint driver because it allows that capacity print based and not scanning.

1. click on the menu Apple and then click on System Preferences.

2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the list of Printers .

3. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer. Once the printer is deleted, click the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer with Hello , like the kind.

4. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu.

5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

  • DeskJet F2430 will not scan

I have a Deskjet F2430 Printer/Scanner and uses Windows XP.  When I try to scan I get the message: "a required software component cannot be found or has been incorrectly installed.  Reinstall the software that came with the device.  I tried everything, unplug the unit and reconnected, unistalling and installation, disabling the virus, changed USB... nothing works.  The doctor of printing & scanning HP says everything is fine, but I still get the same message.  Help please.

To start sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Then, go to printers and faxes, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

find and install SOFTWARE to FEATURE FULL if it is available:

  • DeskJet 3050 will not work wireless?

I spent almost a whole day trying to get this piece of s * T connect wireless to my Macbook Pro 10.6.5... I get within touching distance and drop-down lists appear! FOR EXAMPLE... The network configuration has been correctly transferred to the device. However, to continue to configure the network device, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the network: "TALKTALK * ' and try again.

Well try again does not work if you must back up and re-enter your password network... only to end up with this message again. I finally gave up and put up with the USB. My Mac has no access to the network, otherwise I wouldn't be online, which I certainly was.

Help someone? previously, he was a refund!

You can change the settings of the router?  What is the router provided by your ISP?

    Hello

"HP support have tried everything and gave up now."

If HP has renounced their product, we can not offer much hope.

It's their hardware and their software that runs their product.

I suggest that you try their Support Forums, as it appears from their support of the unscrupulous company.

    Hi @bhjat,

    It may be a good idea to test the ability of computers to analyze. Try using one of the following methods to scan;

Fax and scanning the Windows Instructions

    1. Place the item you want to scan on the scanner glass, or load in the ADF (ADF) documents, if your printer has one.

  • Photosmart D110a will not scan

I am more able to scan documents on my printer Hp Photosmart D110A. I use Mac OS X portable 10.7.5 version. It is connected wireless and I am able to print.

When I get up and walk on my printer, I select SCAN > SCAN TO PC and I get the error message: TRY to SCAN from which SEE COMPUTER DOCUMENTATION.

When I open HP Scan on my laptop, I click on the button SCAN. He says then PREPARING to SCAN. Then he said: SCANNER COMMUNICATION CANNOT BE ESTABLISHED. THE PRINTER IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILIABLE. ENSURE THAT YOUR DEVICE IS TURNED ON, CHECK THE CONNECTION AND MAKE SURE THAT YOUR NETWORK IS WORKING PROPERLY. IF THESE CONDITIONS ARE CORRECT, RESTART THE DEVICE AND TRY TO SCAN THE IMAGE.

I restart my printer and it will not scan. Nothing wrong with my internet connection. Previously, before I had scanning problems, my wireless on my printer button was flashing and I couldn't print wireless. I uninstalled the software from my laptop and remove the printer. I reinstalled the HP software and added to the printer and that solved my printing problem.  Now, digitization is a problem. Can anyone help me please with my scan problem?

    So I THOUGHT about IT!

After you download the HP driver online once again, I went to HP utility (I had to add my printer again going up in system preferences > Add button > IP and enter my IP address).

In the HP utility I cliked the name of my printer under devices, then on the right side I cliked the additional settings under settings of the printer.

Then, I clicked on the embedded Web Server Open button.

My web browser opens and it is the HP embedded Web server for my printer. I clicked the Scan button and the scanned image.

You will then need to right click to save the image, and it allows to print wireless.

So after a few days of trial and error my scanning has been fixed.

I just moved and had to change my ISP.  Now, my V525W printer which was working fine, will not connect wireless.

When I try to reinstall the printer, the program stops after I connect the USB "put in place by cable".  The CONTINUE button dark rest.

I tried every suggstion I find on the Board for more than three hours and still not get this piece of junk to work.

I have an all-in-one Dell XPS running Windows 7 machine.

    Can someone please?

    Rick,

After a few "cooling off" days, I decided to TANOE this problem again and it seems that I finally work!

I went in the menu on the printer and restore the default settings.  I always had the same problem with the Installation of the Dell program I went into the Windows 7 Control Panel and clicked on "Add a wireless device to the network."  He immediately recognized the printer and I followed the steps until the light green enabled WiFi fixed.   Then, I went through the installation of Dell again and was able to print, scan, etc.

    Thanks again,

    Tom
