• Palm Hotsync blocks Windows XP - Help!

  On my computer, Palm Hotsync crashes Windows XP.  It not always plant.  I think about half the time it crashes.

  Symptoms:

  I get a BSOD, with one of the following messages

  BAD_POOL_CALLER

  DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

  Crash report Windows identifies the routine incriminated as palmusbd.sys

  It is on a Palm Centro (AT & T version)

  I use Outlook 2007 lines

  There are copies of Palmusbd.sys versions on my computer:

  c:\Program Files\Palm\USB_Driver\palmusbd.sys size = 16640 bytes; update = Dec-04/2007, 17:10:30; last access to today; version 6.0.2.0 =

  C:\Windows\system32\drivers\palmusbd.sys size = 16509 bytes; Update = 04-Mar-2004 6:24:12 PM; last access to today; version = 1.4.0.0

  Since Palmusbd.sys interacts with Hotsync, I thought that I might as well tell what versions of Hotsync I have on my computer as well.

  C:\Program Files\Palm\Hotsync.exe size = 1 392 640 bytes; Amendment 03-Jan-2008 6:28:08 PM; last access to today; version = 7.0.2.0

  Of course, there are a multitude of EXEs and DLLs in my C:\Program Files\Palm directory.  I'm only guessing that my problem is related to the palmusbd.sys or Hotsync.exe.

  I suspect that the old version of palmusbd.sys is bad.  I am a Palm user for years, and this may have been in my directory system32 for eons.

  I already tried to uninstall and reinstall Palm Desktop and Outlook conduits, but it has not changed my situation anything but to make me a little more frustrated.

  I don't remember.  I did some time ago.  But I suspect it would not have helped, because the old version of palmusbd.sys has been in the \Windows\system32 directory.  That would be not have obtained ransacked when I reinstalled Palm Desktop.  I suppose at this stage this is the older version of this file which poses problem.

  I will try a reinstall and the trash all the program files related to palm, but I couldn't miss easily any dll or file sys that goes into one of the windows system directories.

  I can try again, and it can erase some other old files that might be the root of the problem.

  This time, I'll do the following and report:

  * uninstall Palm Desktop

  * Uninstall Updater from Palm Outlook Conduits

  * trash all under \Program Files\Palm * (a Palm tree and a directory of palmOne were left)

  * trash everything that seems palm associated under \Windows

  * palmDevC.dll

  * \Windows\LastGood\System32\Drivers\PalmUSBD.sys

  * a couple of directories under \Windows\Installer\{long key}

  * A file for read-ahead Hotsync.exe

  * \windows\system32\drivers\palmDevC.dll

  Reboot system

  Reinstalled Palm Desktop drive

  Reinstalled Outlook 2007 ducts Updater.

  I'll have to get back to you on that this solved the problem.  It will take several hotsyncs to disentangle whether she did it or not.

  In the Sub in view of the link you need to download the Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager. This software allows you to synchronize your device Palm with your computer, for your info is backed up and easily editable on your computer.

  When you set up your Palm device to synchronize using Bluetooth technology, you create a 'Bluetooth partnership' between your devices your computer (also known as "pair" or "trusted device").   HotSync not moving after Agenda, which says calendar on my Centro.  I looked at everything in this phone... it isn't the wireless sync, it is not memory, and he has been acting with my third party software TopProducer 7i, import only not all names in the addy book.  It's funny, TP has all online tho., and synchronization said success for this part of the hotsync-ha.

  It's weird, the essential is that it is totally locked up on the HotSync for ideas book - any date?

  (I did all the stuff from restarting too...)

  Well, I took the address book/date book/calendar led out of the list of applications in configuring hotsync, as well as the conduit of memo, then I pressed the sync button... Finally to synchronize everything.  Then I added the deselected lines back, synchronized and it took a while, but after 20 minutes, it finally worked.  I must point out I then removed the Topproducer7i 3rd party app too, and then when the Palm sync with success, finally, I reinstalled it and now all is well in the land of Palm.

  You have 3rd party software out there that relates to your address book/data/calendar?  You can go on the road I did.  Sometimes it seems that you need to refresh things by removing and then reinstalling the.

• Palm Hotsync is in conflict with XP SP3?

  My Palm Hotsync working perfectly well... until I updated my Windows XP with Service Pack 3.  Now when I try to sync, I get an error message saying that the connection cannot be made.  Sometimes, if I redownload the Hotsync, that will allow me to sync once, but then I met the same problem.  I am reluctant to uninstall SP3 since that has a lot of security in it, but nothing else seems to work...

  ... I did the soft reset and reset the system and followed all the steps in the help section of Palm.  I also spoke with a Palm rep who could not find the problem either.

  So, did anyone had this problem?  Was - this SP3 or something else?  How to solve it?

  Just for fun, I thought I'd be complete and ensure that these USB ports upward on the side of my screen flat Dell still worked.

  NOT!

  Tried the ports on the front of the box and it syncs well... go figure... (and YES I check the cable going to the screen). Now I have to see why either the ports on the back or the monitor does not work.

  This is my first time using Skype for calls. For some reason any calls lasts not more than 55 seconds. I tried to sign Skype App and restart again but it still the same.

  Enter the parameters of the BIOS (F2 at startup) and under Advanced BIOS options you will find LED illumination. Set it on, save the BIOS settings and restart your laptop.

  x:\ I do not think it is a 'valid' for what you intend. I used a 2nd computer and the original disk, I don't remember tho if I used windows file transfer or just copy, but I had the disc copied to the flash drive and reinstalled windows 7. I have still no working dvd rom (x 2) they open and close (sometimes), but the drivers need to be mounted to something incomplete. repair is absent as well. some other problems too but its been executed in this way for months (apx5). here and there, I get an email from answers, that's how I arived here really (enroute) hope this helps (a bit)

  Right-click on the taskbar and unlock it. Take an empty place and just drag it down. Relock the taskbar.

  Your second screenshot looks like that isn't Adobe Adobe tire line. That's why you see more than the function (sorry, that's why I was confused). It's never to the draw.
