I tried to download the software but can't seem to get the printer to install wizard.  Is available for this model? If yes where can I get it? Thank you, ShlomiL, but I dropped.

Threw the printer and bought an Officejet 8620. I think I'll be much happier with it anyway. Thanks again.

  • HP Officejet J4540 All In One: Why can't check my ink levels on my officejet J4540 with windows 8.1 installed on my computer

I want to check on my printer ink levels, but there is no way I can see to do since I installed

Windows 8.1 on my computer. There must be another way to check it out, but I can't figure out how.

    Hi @sneakers1491,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're wondering how to check the ink with your HP Officejet J4540 levels. I'm happy to help you!

First of all, I recommend going through this guide, check the ink levels for HP Officejet J4500 and J4600 all-in-One Printer Series.

If this does not work for you, on the printer itself, press the key icon in the upper right corner, it will take you to settings, then continue to press the right arrow until you see print report, then press OK. You will see the self-test on the screen, press OK again. Will display the test page, and then you will see the level of ink on the printed page.

    I hope this information helps!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 n911g: ink level 8600 rest from scratch with new 950XL

My black cartridge in my 8600 printer ran out of ink. I had already replaced all the colors of three cartridges with a 951XL defined, a month or two ago, and the process went smoothly as planned. Today after replacing the black cartridge, adjustment noise seemed short, and the façade is estimated ink level zero rest.

    I tried the following diagnosis:

    -Reinsert the black print cartridge

    -Reinsert all four cartridges

    -market power

    -a second new HP 950XL

    -test page

    -the print head alignment

    -clean the printhead

-Printing HP and doctor Scan, install and run - prompted me to update software - which did not fix the problem

Print quality seems good on the test pages. I can only assume that the printer works satisfactorily, but I prefer to resolve this problem and eliminate the uncertainty of my use of the printer. Please suggest how I might solve this problem.

  • Ink levels HP Officejet Pro 8000 809

Why can't determine the ink levels on my HP Officejet Pro 8000 with the tab printer HP Print and Scan Doctor?

    Hello HPPete,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are having a problem with getting the HP print and scan from doctor to show ink levels. I will try to help you with this.

To start, make sure that the version of the PSDR that you are using is the most recent. It should be version 4.3.

Then the word "printer" will be grayed out in the top of the window until you have selected your printer and you press Next. To be able to use the drop-down list, you must be on the screen that shows "The difficulty of printing" / "Fix scan."

Once on this screen, you should be able to use the drop-down list and choose "ink levels". This will display the information of ink on another screen for you.

If you have found that up to now, and the ink level are not displayed, then there may be communication problems. Please let me know if this is the case.

I have also two other ways for you to check out ink levels using the PSDR.

This 'check ink levels' document will show you how to print a test page, which has information about ink and levels.

You can also use the HP Solution Center.  If it is installed on your computer, you should be able to open it and click on your printer icon view ink levels.

Please let me know if this was useful for you.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Full view ink levels but does not print magenta and cian not on Officejet 6500AA.

Just installed new cartridges of magenta and cian in my Officejet 6500 a.  Ink levels show as complete but no cartridge is printed.

You still have the old cartridges?

If Yes, try to install and see if the same issue exists. If they still have enough ink to be seen on the page, so it may be a problem with the print head.

You can try the troubleshooting of this article steps to clean the print head and it can solve the problem:

    I hope that helps!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 909 a-. do not reset ink level

Hi, I have an officejet pro 8500 and I have a problem has a simple solution, I hope! I put it in a new black 940XL high capacity cartridge anhd the LCD screen on the printer and the solution center monitor always shows an explaination (!) mark. This indicates that the ink is close to finishing. In the HP Solution Center, it also shows that the ink level is very low. I can only assume that the printer still think it's the old cartridge. Is there a way that it can be reset, so the printer recognizes that it has a full cartridge?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Ian

Ok! In desperation I put in another cartridge and everything works.

Obviously some kind of flaw with the cartridge. I'll take it back to the store when I can

    Thanks anyway

  • Cannot read ink on HP Officejet 8500 levels

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer. I used to be connected to an old Dell computer connected by cable. Now I have a new computer, HPE - 337C under Win 7 (64-bit). I use the WiFi from my new HP. The 8500 printer is connected to my hub wireless via Ethernet cable. When I installed my new HP computer he connected to the wireless hub and turn the printer to 8500 SE. I didn't download any drivers or anything. Everything works beautifully. How can I check my on my 8500 printer ink level? I have not loaded on my computer HP Toolbox. I really don't have no need of new drivers Win 7 because everything works beautifully. Is it possible to download just Toolbox for Win 7?

There is no option to download just the Toolbox.

The best way to check ink levels unless it is:

    1. press Setup on the control panel

    2. select print reports

    3. Select Page Setup network

This page will give you the IP address of the printer. Open a web browser and in the address bar, type the IP address exactly as it appears. (EX: 192.168.1.100) This will bring up the web server integrated for the printer, and the ink levels. I hope this helps!

    Hi Eaglefan1,

Did you install the full feature software and driver (or) base driver? If you have installed the full features software, you should be able to see the ink level status.

You can download a copy of via link below. In this connection, there is a video explaining the difference between the full and the base driver.

You can monitor the eprint Center ink levels for the OfficeJet 7500 a/E910?

    Hello Deborah,

To answer your question, you are not able to check the ink of ePrint Center levels. The only thing you can do in ePrint Center is to monitor the status of your print jobs you send via ePrint and monitor the connection status of your printer for the recent servers ePrint.
