5.1.1 Android silent keyboard

After upgrading to 5.1.1 I can't do the silent keyboard entries. What should I do?

On a G4 is in the settings of your keyboard by default under more - I'm sure it's similar or even on 5.1.1 all devices

in the General settings I turned off the sound when you touch"(Tone EIB Beruhrung). It works fine except when you use the keyboard: he the sound continues unless I put the full slate on mute.

Go to settings > language and input. Press the button to the right of the Android keyboard settings. Uncheck the sound on keypress.

If you have any keyboard additional apps installed (I use CooTek), you may also need to check the settings to disable the keyboard when you use app.

  • Keyboard repeat the previous entry in the Android Applications on BlackBerry 10.2.0.1791

This bug appeared with the latest version of the software updates offered by BlackBerry devices, they show the OS version 10.2.0.1791 and 10.2.0.1803. I also tested on a number of simulators and have determined, that the bug was not present on the BlackBerry 10.1.X.1483 and more.

Our application uses an EditText object to input from the user. Sometimes we change our programmatically EditText content during editing, but BlackBerry android Runtime keyboard seems to remember the content of our EditText and returns the complete batch the next time that a character is typed.

The same code has been tested on a suitable number of Android devices, and it is not present on any Android device. We also tested older simulators, and he was not present there.

Has anyone seen this bug? No work around?

I can now confirm that the bug is not present in 10.2.1 I tested on devices with or without a physical keyboard.

    Thank you.

  • Keyboard question

Other than the Google keyboard with the gesture by typing what is the difference between the Android (ASOP) keyboard we have and available at the game store keyboard from Google?

    https://play.Google.com/store/apps/details?ID=com.Google.Android.InputMethod.Latin&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5nb29nbGUuYW5kcm9pZC5pbnB1dG1ldGhvZC5sYXRpbiJd

Also is there a way to disable the default android keyboard? It is grayed out so I can't do anything with it.

Not sure about your first question, the second question is easy. Tap Settings > App > all > keyboard Android (AOSPS) > disable. It will even remove it of all parameters. I hope this helps.

  • Android slate 21

The other day, I bought my 21 slate with Android 4.2.2. Great device!

I downloaded Skype but have four 'problems' - that concern three Skype - I can't solve, when being I:

    1. make a call from the other person can't hear me and I no matter where I look, I can't find the setting to correct this; and
    2. Enter a chat, that the 'Send' button is there (or not); and
    3. can not seem to reduce the size of the layout (from full screen to a smaller screensize).

The last problem I encounter is with the space bar which seems to work (sometimes) as a return, rather then by adding a space.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, I did some quick checking and it's my results:

    1. her: I tried both video and Audio calls and both seem to work ok with the default settings.  As a quick test, you can use the Sound Recorder, system app came with slate 21 just to check the work of your microphone.  If this is the case, then it must be an app problem.  Suggest uninstall and reinstall of Skype.

2 cat sending: I checked that this seems to happen with a connected external keyboard.  It seems to be a known problem with Skype as they removed the ability to send pressing on enter key (http://community.skype.com/t5/Android/Sending-Instant-Message-on-Android-using-Keyboard-Enter-Key/td-p/2033233).

Until they fix I suggest to use the following workaround:

    a. type your message

    b. press arrow on the keyboard once (development of movements apart sending)

    c. press arrow down on the keyboard once (makes highlight move them down)

    d. Send button should now be visible

The other alternative would be to unplug the keyboard and use screen on one.

3 glassware: usually Android apps are full-screen only.  You can reduce your session will continue, and you can't have Skype side by side with another application.

    4. space bar: I know that some applications have limited support for external keyboards.  Applications that have been sent with your slate 21 should work reliably.  If you have some applications that exhibit this problem, please let us know that and we can consider the issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Is there a 'OK Google' add-on for Firefox or a "Firefox OK"

Since I use a smartphone I have the habit to use Google OK and find that talking about a long query in browser results in more relevant results. I thought I have it add to Firefox to make navigation easier. I can't find an add-on for this and wonder if it is compatible with Firefox. If not, is there a Firefox OK/Hello/loan that will allow me to talk instead of type in the browser.

    Hi Figgerty,
If Firefox is now the only api voice added to Gecko, so all Mozilla products can use the api. However, if you type in the url bar of Firefox for android, the keyboard will be the speech google ok text option.
With respect to the office, it is still working on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1003439

Can someone help me out here?
I love my phone but my complaint is the trackpad and keyboard, trackpad is a little loose and keyboard is so difficult and makes it a looot of noise. I bought this phone to India but now I am in the United Arab Emirates and when I saw the phones here they have incredibly n awesomely sweet silent keyboard n! And is it sufficient reason at the request of a new piece after 6 months? Need help please!

It won't hurt to ask since you are in another country.  I would say to contact the place where you got the first phone, explain your situation and see what support options are available.

    OS = operating system.

Please follow the instructions here exaclty.

On your BlackBerry, go to Options (sometimes called tools or settings). From there, plesae, select 'About' from the menu.

'About' will be the first item in the list.

But no matter, since the 8900 OS 4.6.1.xxx a, you are well - as noted above, set your profile silent or vibrate and your DTMF tones when the composition will be silent.

Also, make sure that your device you have the correct setting: Options > screen/keyboard > tone = OFF.

  • Firefox for Android does not implement HW keyboard shortcuts, please add the same as the desktop version!

    Hello
I use a bluetooth keyboard and noticed that the classic keyboard shortcuts do not work with Firefox for Android. This is a major gap, with chrome, you can use the same shortcuts on the desktop version, it would be nice to have a comparable feature on Firefox for Android too.

Hardware keyboards are a useful supplement to the tablets and the last iterations of keyboard 'sexy' as one that is available for the Google Nexus 9 are practical and folio desiderable.
    Please add this improvement soon!

    Thank you!

Hello, this is a mainly managed by the community support forum is probably not the right place for the characteristics of the request (we are unable to implement all the features & devs read here).

I have a third party application that I use as a keyboard: SwiftKey X. whenever I select this keyboard as my default and start typing, that whether in the text on the site itself or the adressbar fields, he never seems to get the text right. For example; It removes the words without wanting me. Words are replicated when you try to start new word. Suggestions get automatically inserted without be selected. But when I take the default keyboard systems (Swype, I own a GT-N7000) that there is no problem. No one knows what might happen?

    Hi BryanBouws,

Can try you every night (20 of Firefox) and Aurora (19 Firefox) and report back here if things work out for you?

On every night and Aurora, we recently approached a number of keyboard related issues and both must have a number of bugs.

You can find every available at: http://nightly.mozilla.org with an Android download link at the bottom.

In addition, you can find Aurora for Android to: http://aurora.mozilla.org

Let us know if every night or Aurora solves your problems.

Edit: I would also try the suggestion of iamjayakumars above too.

  • Spanish Bluetooth Android keyboard for AT200 need

    Hello world!

Someone of you (especially those who speak Spanish) have found a keyboard external bluetooth (designed for Android), with the layout in Spanish? I mean, QWERTY with the "n"... I read around that Motorola is going to release a keyboard like that, but actually I've not found any reliable information. Have any of you found something?

For moderator of any Toshiba who read this: it would be nice to have the keyboard from a Toshiba as one that exists already (Toshiba Wireless Keyboard - Android optimized, http://us.toshiba.com/accessory/PA3959U-1ETB/), but with a Spanish provision. No chance of getting a? Thank you!

EH it isn't easy help with this.
Try to check the Logitech products. They are leader in the market for these products of external hardware.

  • Android keyboard does not

in my hp tablet, keyboard android as well as game store is not working.i tried to format my tab but it dosent format such that it needs a password and I can only fill my password with the keyboard... .What do I do?

Hello Webbbster, welcome to the HP support community!

Are what tablet you referring?  HP made several now.

If it's the Slate7, you can erase it and start again by turning it off, then hold down the power button / stop, HIGH volume, and volume DOWN until you see a menu text.  Release the buttons.

Navigate using the volume button and select "wipe data / factory reset".  Scroll down to "Yes."... "on the next screen.

You should have a Slate7 brand new when it finishes.

  • Optimized WLan keyboard Android (PA3959U) - Galaxy S3 typing question

    Hello

I bought this keyboard today and paired very well to my Samsung Galaxy S3, which I would like to have an external keyboard for email etc.

It works "kind of" until I continue to type something happens where he jumps in the characters of the CAPS and the space bar no longer works. Until I press the 'internet' shortcut key then it works normally again for a sentence or 2, then flips back to CAPS and not more than space.

I'm probably going to get a refund on this keyboard tomorrow, but thought that posting a little question here to see if anyone has experienced this problem or knows how to fix it before I return it?

    Thank you
    Alex.

    Hello

Eventually it s just a compatibility issue with your smartphone.
I read in page Toshiba that this keyboard is compatible with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets and higher, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

I read some reviews on the internet and it seems that the keyboard correctly works using a Tablet as Excite 10

  • HP Slate 7 - android keyboard does not

By starting a message as follows:

"Unfortunately, the Android keyboard has stopped" "OK."

By pressing on OK makes message go away, but she returned when a keyboard is necessary.

    I've tried the settings-> about-> system updates

which seems stuck on "Download 26.2 Mb" once again the keyboard above message.

    TIA

    Hi The_real_kenton,

I read your message on the keyboard error message popping up repeatedly.

If you perform a factory reset on your HP Tablet should solve this problem. This link to the document will show you how to.  Make sure you transfer or back up your files on your HP Tablet.

  • I hate the android keyboard

I used google voice a lot which means I was txting one storm since I have this tablet (about a month now since the release)

My rants, it's that I really despise the AutoComplete. I tried gokeyboard also and it seems just as bad. I know part of the problem is we can't follow with how fast I type, but even when I slow it sucks just major ass.

Try not to bash (because I always intend to use this device) but compared to my windows phone does not compare the AutoComplete. Is there an alternative? For example on my Winphone, I rarely if EVER send typos in your emails or text. And with this tablet, it is very common. Here's a simple example

I've tried spelling geeze about 5 times and he kept suggesting / auto fill "itself" rather than "geeze" and I have disabled AutoComplete after feature space etc.

How to work on android keyboards. They are responsible for AutoComplete, or they are good for different page layouts?

How much of my hate comes

    (1) android suck in auto complete vs

    (2) screen touch lenovo is of lower quality

And is there a solution, so I do understand not so frustrated?

    Thank you.
