5 same updates install then reappear to be reinstalled.

I continue to install the same 5 updates.  They say they have installed fine but after going out on the internet or restart my computer, they are back once again, waiting to be installed.  They are: KB979909, KB982524, KB982168, KB983583 and KB2418241.  Can anyone help?

Recently, I have restored my computer Windows Vista to factory default.  I loaded all updates (a few at a time) and all have been completed successfully.  Now, it looks like WINDOWS UPDATE is having me reinstall the same updates, as they reappear on the list of updates to be added.  Please tell us what to do.

  • The same updates Windows 7 repeatedly attempt to install

So, my sound keeps cutting. Whenever he does I know that Microsoft has decided to install the same update. I'm going to the start menu, and, of course, there are the little exclamation point on the shield. I'll click it... and it will disconnect me, start closing down and the installation. Its always install a part 8. And I'm almost certain it's the same "update" 'installed' and more and more; even if it's Windows, I could be wrong... more strange things happened. How can I prevent this, or at least to get a more useful update that I did not install several times / day and stops at my mute. It is quite frustrating. Thanks :)

  • Windows 7 programs and features shows no updates installed...

My cousin's computer will not show installed updates.  There was a program called SuperOptimizer (malware) installed and I got rid of that and another program incorrect.  I need to see the updates installed, so that I can get rid of the notification of Windows annoying 10.  How the updates installed to reappear?

The system was scanned and cleaned by Malwarebytes, Bitdefender (I got rid of Microsoft Security Essentials) and the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.  There must be a way of making appear back without reloading Windows. If anyone has any ideas, your contribution is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

P.S. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, right-click right-click command promptand click run as administrator on the menu drop-down... Type cd\ and press ENTER. Type "sfc/scannow damaged = c: \ /OFFWINDIR = c:\windows" without the quotes and press ENTER . When he completed type exit, press ENTER and restart the computer.

Windows Update or Microsoft Update repeatedly offers the same update

  • Install security updates "successfully", but then my computer downloads and installs the same updates again

Original title: at Microsoft course to resolve this ONGOING problem, & VERY BORING PROBLEM with his Windows security updates?

    Morning everyone,

There was considerable number of complaints about the failure of Microsoft to solve the problem with its updates of Windows, including updates security for XP, Office 2003, the removal tool malicious and the infamous KB2538242!  I saw these varied complaints not just here, but on some other sites as well forum.

In the evening of Tuesday, July 12, 2011, I once more has received notification of Update icon in my taskbar and clicked on it to start the updates.  According to the list, there were 5 so-called updates downloaded & installed... as shown below: (my auto-mises update is updated every day at 01:00):

KB2555917 (a security update for XP)

    KB2538242

    KB2493523 (a security update for Office 2003)

KB890830 (updated Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool)

KB2507938 (a security update for XP)

SUPPOSEDLY... .these updates have been installed.  But, just as happened previously, Microsoft Update icon still reappears in my taskbar within 20 minutes the so-called updates being completed!  Yet once, I went through this cycle of "download & installation" these supposed updates 4 different times before visiting the account that Microsoft has NOT YET SOLVED THIS CURRENT QUESTION! There is absolutely NO help is available, whether of Microsoft at all... except if you're loaded with money to spend on paying them to offer some apology for the problem.  Here ARE the UPDATES security AND in accordance with the PROTOCOLS of MICROSOFT, MICROSOFT IS supposed TO BE PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THE QUESTIONS OF THIS TYPE!

When the problem instead of turning its back on its customers with the blade go Microsoft to wake up and solve this problem continues is to excuse this "oh, there is no support available for these security update issues... unless you are willing to PAY SOME COSTS FOR the SERVICE?  (It was the response I got from one of the support staff for the customer to Microsoft by phone, said by the way!)

You VERY DEFINITELY have an ongoing responsibility to your Microsoft customers.   What you do to solve this maddening, growing problem, and how a Win XP SP3 client can get any help?

Welcome & thank you for your comments.

Please keep us informed of any progress you make, Pete.

  • Update version 1.11 of the framework for Windows drivers installed then reverts changes (KB2761494)

Compter starting December 14, 2012, framework for drivers Windows Update version 1.11 installed then reverts the changes made after the reboot. My computer is Vista SP2, x 86 32-bit. All other updates were up-to-date.

I uninstalled all versions of .NET 3.5 and 4.0 and then performed the "aggressive" MS Fixit 50202. I then ran that Windows update manually to reinstall .NET and subsequent updates except framework for drivers Windows version 1.11 by hiding. Then I restored the driver framework hidden update and run this update. The update has been successfully installed, a reboot is required.

After the reboot, Windows open and reported "configuration of updates: stage 3 of 3 to 65% (pause loooong, 2 minutes), then moved to 71% (another long pause, approx. 1.5 minutes), moved to 78% (about 1 minute), moved to 100% then quickly pointed out that the update failed and returning from changes.»

During this attempt, Windows did not start. It was frozen on a black screen! No hard drive, no display activity. Manual AC offshore and under tension. Windows started and reported "updates were not correctly configured. Returning from the changes. "And finally, Windows starts normally.

Event Viewer error Windows Servicing 26 times at the time of the recovery. "Servicing Windows could not complete the process in a State of package Package_for_KB971286... in tiered (tiered)" the other KBs referenced in other errors are 2685813, 2685811, 2761494. Associated USB driver are all these KBs.

    I have winusb.dll version 6.0.6001.18000 created 10/23,2008 16.0 KB.

Apparently, the impossible framework for drivers Windows version 1.11 update this winusb.dll. Please advise or refine this update.

    Thank you.

The new window updates, explains all the updates above are available and does not seem to recognize that they have already been "installed".
Suddendly machine may not be used, any open window says "not responding".
Tried to install the updates again, but same as above.
    Restart the computer.
I got Thunderbird open and does not and used Firefox to try to access this forum.
Firefox picked up trying to open on this forum and said not reponding.
Same as above, nothing had changed and unable to use what whatsoever.
Uninstalled all the above recent updates.
    The machine works again instantly.
Open Firefox to access forum, he reported problems with the last session on this site and so I started a new session.
    Everything works well and fast.

If I look at 'review your update history'
All the updates mentioned above are presented as successfully installed twice.
If I look at "the new updates are available," all the installed and then uninstalled updates are listed.

So before I try to install the updates listed above again, what known problems are there regarding their.
Why do you have the "check updates insist I had not installed?"
Why updates has not asked to restart the computer?
Why install the updates above make it impossible to use any programs?

Start button still shows a small yellow icon next to the 'Off' button that says "install updates then shuts down your computer" every day.  Is this the same update? or malware?  I don't think I'm getting a new update every day. because it says "Installing Update 1 2" whenever I installed.   I ran the antivirus scans and malware and even Spybot - Search and Destroy, apart from a few cookies scans are clean.  This seems to have appeared after the first time I installed this update.  instead of turning off my computer later he just had the black screen and not ended up closing; I had to turn off manually.  The few times that I have installed this "update", it took about 5-7 minutes.  The yellow icon disappeared after installing the updates, but comes back the next time I push the button start.   I even did a restore of the system without result.   How can I get rid of this?
