506th Ip Cisco class support

Hello

I would like to know if I can have on my LAN IP of class B addresses, if I use a Cisco Pix 506th.

I fell on routers that support of class C, and I need to know if there is such a limitation in the 506th CISCO Pix.

Thank you

Vaibhav

Hi vaibhav

There is no restriction of the IP addressing scheme in a PIX, nor on the routers. You can use any class of IP addresses on the interfaces of PIX. People normally don't use class D & the ip addresses of class E for normal unicast/streaming traffic. Otherwise, you can use either class A / B or C the PIX.

I hope this helps... all the best...

  • Cisco IX5000 supports H.323

    Hi all.

I have a question that Cisco IX5000 supports the H.323 protocol.

In the datasheet, I checked there is only SIP. But my client don't want to buy CUCM. They only call point to point between 2 IX5000.

    Thank you.

A CUCM as a call control and provides signaling SIP for IX5000 telepresence system is required for the system works. A CUCM is necessary for the system to get its configuration via TFTP.

  • Cisco RV110W supports up to 1 VPN policies

    Best regards

I use a router Cisco RV110W to 20 natoinwide of branches with a central site for interconnection, however, although VPN correctly between a branch and the central location it is not possible to add another tunnel in the RV110W to another secondary site (see photo)

In the data sheet RV110W it is said that this router supports up to 5 VPN tunnels, but apparently these 5 tunnels are supposed to establish via the software QuickVPN from a computer.

so: is there a real limit to VPN site to site (router to router) 1 with RV110W?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Please contact Cisco,

The RV110w supports only 1 site to tunnel

    Of the data sheet:

1 tunnel IPSec Site to Site

The RV130W will allow 10 site to site tunnels, datasheet below:

  • The SSID on Cisco WLC support no.

    Hi all

Can you please help me to provide details on the following Cisco wireless controller?

    1. no support SSID on Cisco WLC

    2. is it possible to limit the SSID on the access point (for example, I have 10 SSID configured on the controller, I want 10 first access points using SSID (SSID 1-5) and rest of the AP SSID 6-10)

    Thank you

    Jamal

    Hi Jamal,.

Just to add to the great info of Robert (+ 5 points Robert)

The feature you're looking for is called WLAN substitute in versions 4.x WLC.

    Allowing substitution WLAN

By default, all defined WLAN transmission on the controller access points. However, you can use WLAN editable to select WLAN is transmitted and who are not on a per access point basis. For example, you can use WLAN to control override goes where in the guest WLAN network or you can use it to disable a specific WLAN in a certain area of the network.

    This doc.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/wireless/controller/4.0/Configuration/Guide/c40wlan.html#wp1114777

Once you create a new WLAN, WLAN > page edition for the new WLAN. In this page, you can set various parameters specific to this general policy, RADIUS servers, political security WLAN key, and 802.1 x settings.

    * Check Admin status under general strategies to activate the WLAN. If you want AP broadcast the SSID in beacon frames, check the SSID broadcast.

Note: You can configure up to 16 WLAN on the controller. The Cisco WLAN Solution can control up to sixteen WLAN for Lightweight APs. Each WLAN has an ID separated from WLAN (1 to 16), a WLAN SSID (name of the WLAN) separate and can be assigned to single security policies. Lightweight APs broadcast all Cisco WIFI WLAN SSID Solution assets and apply the policies that you set for each WLAN.

    The good doc.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080665d18.shtml#C3

    In versions 5.x, you will use AP groups, because in versions 5.x WLC, WLAN substitute has been replaced by the "Groups of AP" feature;

    Creation of groups access Point

After all the access points have joined the controller, you can create up to 150 groups of access point and assign up to 16 local wireless networks in each group. Each access point announces that the WLAN enabled that belong to his group of access point. The access point no announcement not disabled WLAN in its access point group or WLAN that belong to another group.

    Best regards Tommy Svensson

    Hello

With the correct IOS feature set, it will support IPsec VPN clients. This includes not only the Cisco VPN client but almost any standard IPsec client.

In addition, if on the 2811 can accept any browser SSL VPN connections, or even use the AnyConnect SSL client.

    It will be useful.

  • Multicast in router Cisco RV325 support

    Hi team,

I have a simple network with a router of 325 RV with a multicast server in one vlan (send to 224.1.1.1 on UDP 5000), and I have several receivers in one vlan, connected to the same router.  I enabled multicasting across the port and it does not work.

Do you know if there is any downside to this topic?

    Thank you

    Sergio.

    Sergio,

The multicast feature Pass Through is part of the suite of firewall and only affects traffic between the WAN and LAN.  Unfortunately, the RV320 is not capable of multicast routing between the VLANS.

  • Cisco NAC does support Wireless LAN?

    Hello

I know that Cisco NAC support LAN wireless. I sent myself with various brands of autonomous APs. These work very well using the in-band, out-of-band mode.

However, Cisco has been mentioned for Cisco AP, with Cisco switches and Cisco NAC, out-of-band is supported. I tried this today and it's or Cisco's fake, which is highly unlikely, or I have not configured the portion of the NAC or the access point Cisco correctly, which is most likely? I wonder where am I wrong? Please someone advice me on this?

    Hi Jean Claude,

You can now do out-of-band with wireless deployments, but you must have a Wireless Lan Controller manage your APs. You can't do it with autonomous APs.

No, that succeed not compatible, you could dual boot with Windows 7 32 bit and you'd be able to use the CISCO VPN, you must purchase an additional license for the edition of Windows 7, you are running.

Please see the following article with useful information about dual-boot:

  • Not entirely taken TLS supported in Cisco IPS 4240

I am trying to contact a Cisco IPS 4240 device while having security settings FIPS enabled on the client using SSL. This is not possible because the device does not support TLS extensions in the Client Hello packet (RFC 5746) sent by the client when using TLS (SSL3 and lower are not FIPS compatible). The IDM application that communicates with the device does not send these extensions (im seeing this with WireShark) TLS is able to connect to it.

Is it possible to provide the 4240 support these TLS extensions?

This is related to the bugs below.  The original solution will be included in the 7.1.5 release which is preparing to take in charge the platform 4240 among others.  This will allow the Web server IPS to ignore short-term extensions.  The long-term solution will require an update to the Web server so that it is fully compliant with RFC 5746.

  • Cisco support for third party on SRE applications?

Hi - I think about some applications of unified communications to third parties under VMWare ESXi5 running on a Cisco SRE 900 module.   According to the docs Cisco, 3rd party apps are supported on these modules (see table below), but the app in question is NOT on the list of Cisco below.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/modules/ps10598/data_sheet_c78-553913.html

    A few questions:

    1. until the third-party application is able to run under VMWare/VSphere ESXi5, is there anything on the SRE which could prevent you from running this third-party application even if it is not on the list of Cisco?

    2. What is the policy on the use of third-party applications that are not on their list of Cisco?    For example, they will be a call for support on the SRE running an unlisted application (I do not expect to help me with the app, but I don't want to cancel any kind of support contract through the use of a third-party application not on their list).

    Thank you!

As long as 3rd party soft is able to run on ESXi 5 he would go on the SRE material. Cisco does not prevent these applications from running even if they are competitive. Support perspective that Cisco TAC will not take any support calls for these applications nor would know how to redirect the call to these 3rd party partners. Cisco TAC supports only SRE and ESXi related issues.

  • "For more specific class" does not not on sbRIO 9636

The application that I am forcing me to programmatically access arbitrary components of a nested group. Currently, I am doing the browsing the cluster using his property [] node recursively controls. Currently, my accessor VI to accomplish this works very well on a normal PC but does not work on my target in real time, a sbRIO 9636.

After some research, I determined that the function "To more specific class" does not work on my target in real time. I have attached a code base that shows the heart of the problem. It works fine on a PC but will return an error 53 when running on my target in real time.

    A few questions:

    (1) is 'To more specific class' supported on the sbRIO 9636 or not?
    (2) if it is supported, what am I doing wrong?

    (3) if it is not taken in charge, what are other methods for access by the arbitrary elements of a nested cluster program?
    (4) if it is not supported, why LabVIEW allows me to place the feature even when the sbRIO 9636 is explicitly selected as my goal in my LabVIEW project? It seems prudent to restrict its use, if it is not supported. My day job has been effectively wasted because of this problem.

For reference, here's a few previous discussions

    Thank you

The other posts are correct, because it is currently not possible to use the function on a real-time target. This is a known issue and is being investigated for correction, but currently there is no work around. It is available on the pallets that this behavior is not intentional and should work.

You have described your application requires that recursively through a table and access to specific data. Does this mean that the Data Structure might be different when the vi is run and you need to adapt to a changing data type? If this isn't the case, then all you need to do is to get the value of the reference and then ungroup the cluster as needed then store the changed values to the same reference.

If you're going to have to settle you will encounter difficulties to be determined pragmatically you should do but I have a suggestion. Create a cluster with an enum and a Variant. You can use the enumeration to set the type of the variant in question. He chooses the type to convert the variant according to the code. It is a similar structure, like messages in queue manager and his messages that happening except that you will be passing a reference to this group that has both the message and the payload in one. The reference could be used to get the value and then the code must only be written to accept the Cluster of Enum and variant you can then convert the variant to the appropriate type for later use. For best performance, you also use in Place of the Structure element.

It's only a means potentially accomplish what you want. If you describe your program and needs more in depth, we are able to offer a more suitable solution for your application that does what you need. I wish you a nice day!
