No, that succeed not compatible, you could dual boot with Windows 7 32 bit and you'd be able to use the CISCO VPN, you must purchase an additional license for the edition of Windows 7, you are running.

Please see the following article with useful information about dual-boot:

  • Cisco VPN Client and 64-Bit OS Support

I'm in the stages of planning/testing of migrating users to the Cisco VPN client. Problem that I came across well is that I can't find a version that supports 64-bit operating systems. I looked through the Download Center with no luck. I'm a little more looking for a version out there? Thanks in advance.

As much as I know there is no 64-bit support and is not yet on the roadmap of IPSEC VPN Client. For more details, see:

  • Using Cisco VPN Client in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Hi all!
I need to use Cisco VPN Client to connect to my server in the company, because my company uses lotus notes Server, I have to connect Cisco VPN to access e-mail. But now my windows version is Windows 7 Pro 64 bits that cannot directly install this application, I already installed XP Mode and creatde shortcut to Windows 7, I plugged the Cisco VPN to my Cisco VPN server, but I can not access the server, Pls help me and show me how to solve this problem

Open the XP VM itself, do not use the shortcut that was published in
the W7 boot menu. You need to install Outlook / your email client
Inside the virtual machine, as well as on the side of W7. You can point to the same
PST files if you have local PST files, but you just can't open them in
at the same time of W7 and XP VM.

There is no way to bridge using the shortcut of publishing app

Some people have reported success with the third party IPSec
replacements as customer universal shrew or the NCP. Your IT Department.
would like to know if these are supported

  • Manual uninstall of Cisco VPN 5.0.07.0290 on Windows 7 64-bit

    Hello

I tried to install the last customer of Cisco VPN 64 bit (5.0.07.0290) under Windows 7 yesterday. In the middle of the installation, the blue machine projected; That left me with an installation incomplete and, more importantly still, no uninstall option. I can not reinstall the client because the installer wants to see a previous installtion and throws the error 28000 (need to uninstall the previous version before you start).

Are there instructions on how to do to remove manually the customer to Win7 64-bit?  I saw the instructions of existing manual removal for 3.5 + on XP and 2000, but many of the steps are invalid under Win7.

    Thank you

    John.

You can try to uninstall the MSI VPN client using the Windows Installer CleanUp utility on the link below.

  • ASA for vpn only

    Hello

I would like to configure the ASA for vpn only. By default, ASA allows traffic from the interface of high security to low security interface. I want to stop it. Is it possible to do without resorting to access lists.

    Thank you

    John

Define interfaces for the same level of security and make sure that you do not have same-security-traffic permits inter-interface enabled.

I use Windows 7 64-bit edition Home premium.

I tried several options, but nothing has worked.

Please suggest me the correct procedure to run on my Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium Cisco vpn client.

    Thanks in advance,

VPNclient is not yet supported on 64-bit windows.

However, there is a beta version of the next 5.0.7 version that does.

Have you tried this version? If so, what are the exact symptoms?

Edit: you can download the 5.0.7 beta here

  • Cisco vpn client is supported on the analogue ppp connection

can someone pls tell me if we can use the client vpn cisco on a ppp connection analog and put a pix that is not PPPs running. If it works, then why do we need to VPN L2tp/ipsec. can someone pls tell me something abt it. It is very urgent.

    concerning

    Assane

    Assane,

If I understand your question, you speak with PPP initially to get an IP address from your service provider, then use the Client VPN VPN in your Pix Firewall. If so, yes it is possible.

To name a few reasons why PPTP or L2TP/IPSEC is used instead of Cisco VPN Client are:

    1. because companies have used a PPTP or L2TP/IPSEC solution for some time and are migrating to Cisco VPN

    2. do not install vpn on the PC client software

    3. won't pay for the VPN Client software licenses

Let me know if it helps.

    Kind regards

    Hello alsky95,

I do not know what records you remove to uninstall the software, I suggest you to follow the article which you will give information on how to uninstall manually below and upgrade the Cisco VPN Client I found on Cisco's Web site:
