6.1.2 NSX - v > controller issues > not enough space

After the judgment of any infrastructure for the maintenance of the equipment, it seems that the only thing that will not come online are the controllers of the NSX. The power, but after some CLI research and troubleshooting, all my controllers are "out of disk space. I tried the clear commands (less orders that wipe configurations) but output shows that delete commands are not able to remove non-essential files because there is not enough to place. I published 'show status' and I get a 0% for available disk space. Thoughts?

Update:

Fortunately, one of my controllers was still in a State of good "joined". Finally, I fixed my problem by deleting my other two controllers and their redeployment. I noticed that when the deployment of a controller to one or two hosts, he continued showing that I don't have a cluster to join to the. So I transferred two other controllers to a single ESXi Host which was not giving the error. My problem is now solved and my controllers are all watch 'connected '.

Note, the original controllers that have been posted as disconnected, after diagnosis, I noticed that when the virtual appliance restart (controllers), an error message showed [host SMBus controller not activated] during the starting process of the virtual appliance of the controller. After issuing the command [view status], I could see that the system partitions (mount points) were not present. After redeploying the controllers a second time, everything seemed to work.

to clarify, I transferred the cluster 3 times. My original problem was to power the NSX, the controllers for a reason infrastructure any ran out of disk space and could not start properly. After the reconstruction controllers, I ran into issues with the controllers SMBus host does not, leading virtual disks to not be charged (where mount does not point towards the top... Since the virtual machine couldn't connect to them). After a 2nd reploy, I came across the 'no cluster to join' error, which has been resolved with redeploy controllers on a good host. Now that my controllers are all deployed and synchronized between them, I am able to vMotion controllers on all hosts.

It sounds like this host has already been improved 3.x! In this case you will not be able to upgrade to 5.x using the Manager to update because of the small partition/boot (99 MB).

to remedy the hosts against a basic upgrade

... You cannot use Update Manager to upgrade to 5.0 ESXi host, if the host has upgraded ESX 3.x to ESX 4.x. These hosts have not enough free space in the partition/Boot to support the process of update Update Manager. Use either interactive or scripted upgrade.

  • Time Machine-not enough space error

    Hi all

I had to unplug my computer and move it to another room and now after all hang up, I get this message "not enough space for full backup". There are about 150 GB to 2 TB disk space as it is filled with iTunes and Time machine backups.

I guess it's because ever since I hooked everything back up Time Machine think it is made the first backup of everything rather than pick up where he left off when he made the last backup?

Please tell me that I shouldn't let it save it for the first time again. It took an eternity to accomplish this last time as the computer kept going to sleep.

    Thanks for any help,

Is the library of the PCF on your startup disk and where the media is stored?

If you burn a movie from a file in the Finder, it is a data disk and will not readable on a Blu Ray player.

  • Backup Restore Time Machine: not enough space

Hi all, I am a neophyte tech so forgive me if I'm not clear. I will try to explain the problem as best I can:

I have an old MacBook 2009 running Mountain Lion. A few months ago, my brother gave me his old Pro and so my MacBook 2009 fell by the wayside. I used an external hard drive with that old computer as my backup time machine, but as I tried to transfer a lot of documents and photos and update of dropbox and download photos of google and to understand each of these things as I went along, I totally messed up the MacBook. Just... things are weird... nothing was, where it used to be and my photos were gone and Yes, much of this is probably down to me trying to understand a bunch of new programs at once, BUT what I want to do is to restore it to the way it was using a time machine backup.

So, I googled around and I know when I start it up until I'm supposed to press Ctrl + R and choose the backup that I want, but when it gets to the part where I select a destination and click the only option (the Mac HD), an error message appears with a yellow flag saying "this disc is not enough space to restore your system.

Now, I don't really know what that means, but what I want to do is to get rid of the current way, this computer is completely and attach it to the way it was when I did the last Time Machine backup.

Someone help me please... this stuff is so frustrating when I can't figure it out for me and I am sure that there is an easy solution. I read a lot about partitions etc. but I don't know what all of this means that even.

    Thank you in advance!

Boot into Recovery now command + R to start. Choose disk utility and erase the boot volume, it should be named Macintosh HD, unless you renamed it. When the erase is quit disk utility and choose to restore from your Time Machine backup. OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

  • Not enough space in Runtime area. Data not available SMBios. Inaccessible BIOS

Hello, I was trying a restore or Windows 7 install on a p6510y for a friend. Tried going into the bios to select which device to boot from.

I hit F10, it says enter the bios or enter the configuration..., then it goes to a black screen with a blue bar at the top. The blue bar is bright blue in the middle and it fades to the edge of the screen. It is not animated. I see no text or the cursor blinking either.

If I do not go into the BIOS, I get the message "not enough space in Runtime area. SMBios data will be unavailable"and if I hit F2 to continue, windows starts normally.

I stripped the system down to a single stick of RAM, tried a different PSU, graphics card, vga cable, etc.. I removed the cmos battery and flies over the rider for a solid 30 mins. I can not even access the bios.

It's a machine extremely strongly virused, I was able to install Windows 7 via disk external drive bootable. The recovery partition is still intact, although it seems empty, still too much space.

I ran sp49851.exe in windows 7 on the machine, the installation has been apparently successfully, but the BIOS always behaves in the same way.

I am at a loss, have spent many hours in checking these forums of discussion, does not. Is it possible for me to prepare a bootable USB key and manually install the bios? I extracted the contents of the exe to a folder but I don't know what to do next. The computer has a floppy drive port. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I was able successfully to Flash the BIOS manually, and it behaves as it should. Here's what I did:

I extracted the contents of my bios file (sp49851.exe), using a program called Universal Extractor.

I renamed the file alo6.09 to bios.rom (this was the only file required)

    I followed this guide:

    http://www.BIOS-mods.com/BIOS-update/

Make SURE you get the HP USB Disk Format Tool, they provide a link.

Make SURE you get the BACK image they provide a link for.

I used AFUDOS for my AMI BIOS, from which the above ROM file extension. (they provide a link to AFUDOS)

I used the command line afudos bios.rom/p/b/n/c/e/k/q/reboot (EXACTLY) how they said.

Went straight into the BIOS, was able to make changes. System seems to work fine. It is very important that you read all of this guide and be absolutely sure that you have the good BIOS before updating. Thanks for the help Dave!

I have this message at the start of my laptop U500-17: not enough space in runtime area. And after that ask me to press F1 to continue, but nothing happen, and start the windows does not work. I'm trying to get into the Bios, but I have some error and nothing happen. What should I do?

In my opinion, you need to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. I'm afraid that your BIOS is troublemaker and they should Flash the BIOS of Mr. Unfortunately, you can not do this alone.
For owners of Toshiba laptop offer updates of BIOS Win only. With other words, it can be started as a small application for Windows operating system running.

TM only deletes older files if they have been removed from the source and when TM needs space on the backup to a new incremental backup drive. Time Machine "Jules Destrooper" its backups. over 24 hours, old backups, except the first of the day; These "dailies", old more 30-day backups, except the first day of the week. The weeklies are kept as long as there is room.

So, how long a backup rest file depends on how long it was on your Mac before being deleted, assuming that you do at least one backup per day. If she was there for less than 24 hours, it will be maintained for at least a month. If she was there at least a week, it will be maintained as long as there is room.
