6.6 Lightroom cannot read Raw (Nef) files.

Up to a few days, I was using portable window. I got a new Macbook Pro 13 "."

I installed LR6 on my new Mac and the catalogue LR transfer above the window for mac laptop. My photos are in the external hard drive. Open the LR catalog and work on my already imported and convert to DNG very well. But when I try to import new photos, I shot today with Nikon D800, LR message saying it cannot convert the raw file because it cannot have their loan.

I also download and install the latest DNG Converter and try to convert them with it and it won't be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Make sure the folder that you copy into a read & write permissions. In the LR import dialog box, the Destination Panel on the right should be open with the file highlighted. The full file path must appear at the top of the right panel.

  • Nikon D810 CC cannot read the .nef files...

Hello, I just bought creative cloud because I couldn't get any program to read my new D810 .nef files. I've updated bridge, photoshopCC and Lightroom entirely. I also downloaded the camera raw patch 8.7.1 and tried to get the card camera raw however whenever I try to open photoshop tells me he "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Then I noticed that I have Setup to fix adobe for it and who thus downloaded only to get an error when I try to use it as it is said that the patch is not applicable to me. I'm a little confused at this point because Camera Raw plugin | Compatible cameras said that having a plugin installed beyond 8.6 or lightroom beyond 5.6 should be allowing adobe read my .nef files.  Frustrating he has seen them briefly at some point, I'm not sure what I did he mess up but I uninstalled and reinstalled all adobe application fees, even to remove the adobe folder in my appdata folder to make sure that nothing remained behind who would mess with it. I still can not all programs to recognize my .nef files.

I am running windows 7, 64-bit computer, it is a new hard drive install as well so I know this isn't gunked place with anything.

Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 8.7.1 -already haven't installed, no effect.

Older versions of Nikon Transfer the files to be unreadable by Adobe products. Really, you don't have to need Nikon Transfer, or any other software. You can download images directly from your card using bridge or Lightroom. These other programs can only get in the way. Or you can manually transfer your images by simply using Windows Explorer or the Finder, depending on your operating system and then open these images using Photoshop / Camera Raw or import in Lightroom using the Lightroom Import screen. There is a utility available that you can use to 'fix' the images you downloaded using Nikon Transfer. I never used it. But I understand that it does the job.

If you don't want to use Lightroom to import your images, you can take a look at this tutorial. I think that the Lightroom import screen works very well. And you're not introduce external problems by other software that can create problems.

  • Lightroom 5.7.1 Unable to read my Nikon D750 RAW (NEF) files

    Hi all

I have a Macbook Pro running Lightroom 5.7.1 and LR cannot read RAW files to import them from my Nikon D750.  I tried to rename.  I thought this was fixed with LR 5.7?  Suggestions, please.

Hey, I solved it with hints of another thread!  The poster spoke to add vs COPY at the top of the window.  Change that wasn't working, but led me to go on the "TO" (destination folder) area at the top right.  The file receiving pictures that was highlighted was the hard drive.  When I clicked on it there was a menu drop-down list other records, including the "Images".  I clicked on that and got "Lightroom" and then "2015".  I routed TO that, and it worked!

  • Pouvez Lightroom 5.7 read raw ARW files generated by Sony A7Rii?

Pouvez Lightroom 5.7 read raw ARW files generated by Sony A7Rii?

    Hi Robertldoc,

Lightroom 6.1.1 is the minimum version required to use Sony A7R II (ILÇE 7RM2) camera raw files.

You can upgrade your version of Lightroom 6 Lightroom or Lightroom CC for the files to be recognized.

You can also download DNG converter to convert the DNG files, before using it in Lightroom.

For Mac: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1.1

  • I have lightroom 6 and just got a nikon d7200, lightroom now reads the tiff file so I can not download my pictures on lightroom

I have lightroom 6 and just got a nikon d7200, lightroom now reads the tiff file so I can not download my pictures on lightroom

You really produce TIFF files? If you are, no matter what version of LR read them. Files NAVE, not so much. For NEF files out of this camera, you can either upgrade to the latest 6.4 or CC 2015.4, or you can download the latest free Adobe DNG converter software and use it to convert your files to DNG and import those into LR 5.7.

Back to TIFF format. If you are trying to import those and get a message that the files cannot be read. You will need to change the permissions on the folder that you copy the image to. Change the permissions if you have read and write access.

  • I have the latest downloadable version of the LR5.  It crashed while it was perceived 1:1 uttered during an import. After a restart of the Win764(), it displays a message that LR has to leave because he cannot read the preview files and it will try to fix

I have the latest downloadable version of the LR5.  It crashed while it was perceived 1:1 uttered during an import. After a restart of the Win764(), it shows a message that LR has to leave because he cannot read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next time's lance.  I get the same message to another and whenever he throws so I can't launch LR at all now.

I get the preview of a file has been corrupted somehow.  Is it possible to fix this without having to build a new catalog?

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You must remove this folder, and then restart the Lightroom. Lightroom will generate a new folder of previews.

    Hello

    1. where are the files located?
    2. are you able to open this file?

This can happen if the file is used by some programs / demand or is corrupt.

    Follow these steps:

Method 1: Check if you are able to delete the files in safe mode.
