• 6430 s Dell Wireless/WIDI support problem

  It's my first post in the community, so I apologize for any error that may have this post.

  So, that's the problem I am facing: I recently bought a Dell s 6430, which was supposed to have activated WIDI abilities. But when I tried to install Widi, I found that the wireless card is not supported. Well, I checked and indeed, this model has two variants, the model Intel Centrino 6205 and model Dell Wireless 1504. I have the latter.

  Now, I really need allow WIDI and wireless is the only thing stopping me. My question is, can I replace the card with a new one that supports the WIDI, say, Intel 6200 or Intel 1030? Anyone successfully activated Widi in this laptop. Can it be done?

  I'm sorry if this has been answered in another post, but I couldn't find anything related.

  UPDATE: well, I got it working after all. Just changed the card wifi, update drivers, install the Intel ProSet software (this is key) and hop... It installed perfectly and work perfectly.

  Try to uninstall Spybot and then reinstall the latest version and see if that fixes the problem.

  Just in case, it may make sense to run a full virus / malware scan as well.
  If you have access to another computer, you can download Windows Defender off line which you will scan in a secure environment and are more likely to remove the intrusive malware.

  I'm having a major issues producing working builds of Windows xp through SCCM2007 with any device using the Intel 825xx series network cards.The images boot into win PE fine and deploy the reference image then when it reboots and windows starts it does not pick up a working network card. I know they are the right drivers in the cab file as manually installing them from the cab works fine but it just doesnt pick it up when windows starts.
  
  I've tried mounting the wim file used and dropping the inf, sys and dll's into windows and using DISM to import them into the pxe wim but nothing is any different.I have the same problems with the Latitude E6430, 6510 and now the Optiplex 7010 because they all use the same chipset, any ideas or has anyone got a working driver set/task sequence that could assist?
  

  I know that this post is 4 years old, but I eventually find a solution concerning setting Kernel Mode drivers that were causing issues they need to be updated. I posted something similar on server outages, and this seemed to get mine working properly!

• Latitude 6430 - internal microphone does not work do not

  Hi, I am trying to get my internal mic work. Speakers work fine btw.

  I installed the latest drivers and when I look under recording devices I see only 3 devices:

  -Mic dock (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  -Jack Mic (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  -Rec. reading (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  Shouldn't there be something like a "Microphone Array"

  More info: I am running Windows 8.1 and the laptop does not have a webcam. I show offline and disabled devices.

  I have a Latitude E6500 laptop, running Windows 7 and that's how I activated the internal microphone:

  Panel--> Sound--> recording (tab on top)

  In the rectangle showing all the microphones that are currently turned on, if you do not see the internal microphone (or Mic/Line In, etc.), click R to bring up the menu that gives you the option to display disconnected and device off and check both.  The internal MIC is displayed. R click on the rectangle and set it as the default device, and if you want to use it for Skype, Google Voice, etc. Set it as Default Communications Device.as well.

  I don't know if it works on other Latitudes or with other Windows operating systems.

  I intend to buy a Dell Latitude E6430 in the next few days, but I have a few things to say before that I have buy this laptop. The question is, Dell guide says correctly that supports up to 16 GB of RAM. However Dell does not provide ship/16 GB ram with this laptop.

  I would like to buy aftermarket 16 GB of ram to do what I want to do with this laptop. But I'm not sure what specification of RAM I have to buy. Should I buy DDR3L (1.35v) or (1.5V) DDR3 SODIMM?

  Well can anyone wanting advice which module of purchase please?

  That's what the manual of Latitude E6430 says:

  Memory 1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB capacity
  Memory type SDRAM DDR3 (1600 MHz)
  2 GB minimum memory
  16 GB maximum memory

  Did you install any kind of codec or divx player? It is possible that the features of display driver may be troubled. Try to reinstall the display given by Toshiba driver.

  As far as I know all the drivers you need you can find on CD tools & utilities. Please install ATI Chipset + Display Driver V6.14.10.6430 again. I don't know, but they appear separately on the download site.

  Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 with ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP video card, running Windows XP Professional and SP 2.
  During the start in most cases systems hang up with blue screen.

  I installed the latest drivers from http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK (Version dated 6.14.10.6430 Date 09/03/2004) but the problem continues. After second - last third - it reboot now works.
  The blue screen says (translated from German):
  "Component that probably caused the problem: ati2dvag.dll; the device driver is in an infinite loop; Subsequently the unit does not work, or the device driver is not program the equipment in the right way. STOP 0X000000EA. A dump was created.

  Had some problems, first was the display went mode without failure and the second my daughter said it came with a fatel error message. • Equium A60-191: which driver should I solve software problems

  Updates MicroSoft screwed up my OS and I had to get it reinstalled. When it has been reinstalled, I had to reinstall XP as I had no BONES at all. This means that has been reinstalled XP with SP2.   I just recommend to install ATI Chipset + Display Driver V6.14.10.6430 as a first step, before you start to install the other stuff listed. As written Jasmine make sure that you have installed all the Toshiba designed the tools and utilities in the correct order. I think that all the FN functions will not work correctly.
