  • Vista installation hangs on the end of the installation during clean installation

Hello, I'm having a problem installing a clean installation of Windows Vista Home Basic on Acer laptop from my friend.

For starters, my friend got a red anti virus that has destroyed more or less its windows.  After doing a restore of the system for the first available date, the virus had disappeared, but Windows kept asking me how to open simple things like Internet Explorer and various other programs, which means that the OS is unusable.  My friend gave me permission to format the drive and I reinstalled Vista with a DVD of my I had to leave one of my PC, but I used the CD key on the laptop.  The installation went well, I went on my desktop PC and downloaded all the drivers for his laptop (Aspire 5516), and then installed a sound card driver and an update of the BIOs.  After updating the BIOs, the laptop starts again.  I tried to do a system restore but it had no restore points, then because I just started, I thought a quick format wouldn't hurt.
This is where things went wrong.  I tried to reinstall Vista again, but it keeps hanging on the part "complete installation."  I tried three times so far and it always crashes at the same exact part, and now I have no idea what to do.
Any suggestion or help would be appreciated, thanks.

The copy of Vista, I use came from my college that I got for free to be in a computer SCIENCE major.  This isn't a particular manufacturer.

EDIT: I apologize for not to say that from the beginning.  It is never used because I already had 7 at this time.
In any case, I changed my BIOs native IDE or something of the sort, and I have Vista start.  I'm in shock, but I guess that when I flashed the BIOs, it's turned back on it to the wrong setting or something.  That's all I can think about.
  • Predator G6-710 and Oculus Rift

Anyone had success installing installation Oculus Rift VR?  I continue to run into errors during installation, and can not pass an installation. "Eyepiece has detected a hardware error that prevents you from implementing your Rift."

I have a strong suspicion that it is USB 3.0 port associated.    When I plug the HDMI interface and 2 USB 3.0 ports are discovered and activated, yet when I go to install inside the helmet, I get this error. I tried both USB 3.0 forward ports and ports in the back without success. Same mistake. I even rebooted and Windows came up and reported 'Hang On' while it cleans an error then rebooted and material very well.

Someone at - there one installed yet?  Let me know your thing.

    Thank you

Well Yes. USB port problem.  Both at the front and the other on the back do not work with Oculus. I found a USB 3.0 at the back which seems to work reliably. Holy crap, this thing is amazing...

  • Load Balancing does not not on 2911

    Hello people,

I have some difficulty to operate the Load Balance on my 2911.

I have followed the editing on this site:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080950834.shtml

and APARENTLY it works, but not in reality, because I see packets using a NAT IPS bot thru, but when I check on the interfaces I see we're not receive / send anything.

    Background:

G0/0, I have one ISP, other 1/G0, G0/2 my network.

    Hello

Yes here you only have a single default route installed (one from the DHCP server) so it can't NAT on the other interface as it can route on this one.

    Change your configuration like this:

    no ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 track GigabitEthernet0/0 123

    no ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 200.122.102.1 254

    IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dhcp

    IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 200.122.102.1 254

Now if you want to follow the first route look at this document:

    I get no dot11radio interface.

I'm afraid that this access point can have some electrical problems. What can I do?

    Thank you

    Steven

If you do not see the radio interfaces, I would think that the AP is bad. I would look in to get a RMA number

  • GNS3 3745 - no switch connectivity

    Hi all

use GNS3, and than switch 16port module. I created an instance of PC and connection to f/0/0, which is a port of layer 3, I can connect through Layer 3 IPs. Then, I reconfigured and connected to the instance of PC through a layer 2 port f2/0 which is part of the switch 16port module. The 16 ports are by default in the vlan 1. I have assigned an IP address of 10.1.9.1/24 to the VLAN and gave the PC 10.1.9.2/24. I can't ping and I can not even ping 10.1.9.1, VLAN 1 IP. Did I miss something? Thank you.

While using any third-party registry error Fixer software.., I always find that my windows get defective... so I need to reinstall my windows... new, so my question is why every time there is a mistake in my registry and when try to repair it why my windows get crashed?

The registry requires no maintenance. Its best to avoid the reg cleaners.
And for the computer hanging question, try a clean boot.

  • Slow EtherChannel?

    Hello

I have 2x2950s and 2x3550s putting in place etherchannels between them. Everything looks ok, but the speed is always around 100 Mbps, even if there are a of the trunks 2xFE everywhere.

I tried to isolate, connecting 2x2950s all - even, I get 100 Mbps max...

    My basic topology:

    PC with a NIC - 2950 GB - 2950 - PC with a Go

    Results of Iperf:

    [4] 172.16.1.144 local port 5001 connected with 172.16.1.28 port 51554

    [4] 0, 0 - dry 10.0 102 Mbps 85.4 MB

    [4] 172.16.1.144 local port 5001 connected with 172.16.1.28 port 51675

    [4] 0, 0 - dry 10.0 107 MB 89.3 Mbps

I tried to change the PO/active - always the same ports. When I connect these PCs to the same 2950 switch using two gigabit ports, I get:

    [4] 0, 0 - dry 10.0 390 MB 327 Mbps

I also tried to copy to PC3 to both PC1 and PC2, at the same time to ensure that she can balance the load - unfortunately I was getting 5-6 Mbps for each connection only

    I missed something obvious?

My config and show the basic commands:

Well your ports located in the channel of the port are 100Meg ports so certainly you will get no more 100Meg out of it.  When you perform a method on the default channel port load balancing switch is CBC - mac.  Which means that if PC1 has a x.x.x MAC and this is the source of all data might exceed the first link.  Now, if you add another PC with a MAC of y.y.y that might exceed the second link.  Top of the line past offers better and more granular load balancing of methods such as mac source and destination or IP, ports etc.

The example of battery cross http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_configuration_example09186a00806cb982.shtml using as a guide, I created my channel. However when I discovered "show etherchannel summary 6 ' it says that both my ports are stand-alone, when I want them to be in port channel grouped in. Thank you in advance for your help, I added all the information I could think.

Here is how I created the etherchannel

  • Random Tunnel IPSec Packet drops

    Hi experts,

I am trying to solve a problem of fall of random package for tunneling IPSec between two VTI. For more than a month, we could not see not any question, and from today, we have 30% through a tunnel packet loss IPSec.

After analysis, I have concluded that packet loss is located somewhere on the way to the uc520 to the 2921. Package account see the correctly on the output interface physics uc520, but the number of packets is low on the interface of penetration on the 2921.

Pings outside of the tunnel by the way are very good.

I also deleted the tunnels on both ends and after they have recovery, the question was always present.

Pointers on research where packets get lost?

    RR-hq-2921 #ping 10.1.13.1 g0/1 source rep 100

This is supposed to increase rapidly the number of packets at a distance of 4000 packages, as it has done on the output uc520 interface

Now, did you ask your ISP if they made the last changes made?

I think that your suspcious is correct and if the number of packets do not match, then probably something in the environment has changed, since it worked before with the same configuration and IOS versions.

There are several ways to do it, but if your link is 4 Mbps, use the statement of bandwidth on the interface and the value 4000 (I seem to remember that he uses K, if it is not correct value would be 4000000).

So when you look at the tx or rx loads, those are the load reports.  for example, 128/255 = 50%, 64/255 = 25%.

  • Cisco 861 DHCP + public static IPs + NAT/DNAT. Help.

    Hello

I used to use a server of self-made CentOS for intranet for my small office, but I have bouth a few days ago a router Cisco 861 to replace the linux machine.

    My needs:

    1. I have 2 public classes of IP from my ISP. 1 class is limitted 80mbit upload, the other to 30mbit upload. So I need some sort of DNAT to be able to know exactly what intranet computer uses internet great and including a single internet limitted.

    2. I need DHCP server with static IP addresses (a computer must always have the same IP address, etc)... I have my needs for this.

    3. also I need external access to certain servers on the inside (web, ftp, etc.)

    Parameters:

    (Dhcp) intranet: 10.11.12.x 255.255.255.0)

    1 public Internet: 89.45.204.118 255.255.255.248 (89.45.204.117 as gateway)

Public Internet 2: some other class in the same IP (assume 89.45.204.58/24 for example)

    DNS: 89.45.200.1

So far so good, everything seems simple and I can do this in 2 hours on a centos linux box (correct roads, active ip Routing and some rules for NAT/SNAT/DNAT iptables).

But on this new router of Centos... Well, I am not yet able to ping the outside world, nor inside world I'm tired reading the forums, documentation... I want (at the beginning) to a simple scenario: vlan + dhcp, SEA4 with 1 public ip address and ACCESS to the real world. I was not able to reach even not that much.

  • Exception [TOPLINK-48] several writable mappings exist for field

    Hi all
I am quite new to JPA and Toplink and I try to write simple using toplink essentials JPA application as the persistence however, provider when I comppile the code, get the errors below saying that several writable mappings exist for a field that is [J2EEUSER. BANKS. BRANCH_ADDR_POSTCODE]. The thing is, I have not tried map this field i.e. J2EEUSER. BANKS. BRANCH_ADDR_POSTCODE to multiple cards, so I'm a little confused as to why I get this error. I have attached all the code and error messages associated with. I was hoping that someone will be able to help

    The error is

It seems that you still have the ear old hang out. Maybe clean your server or build/deploy directory.

  • Repeated failed installs Ko 977074, 978506, 978506. O/s of hanging in the journal began or pass the user's request.

    OK, here's my story:

Windows 7 Home Premium, solid running, since 13/10/09
History of failure of 974431 update that the next day, he managed without my taken part troubleshooting.  No complaints since more about 1 week ago got a BSoD outside no where while my child is on a restricted user account using IE.  Has not returned since, but suffice it to say.
So now it's 26/01/10 and an update to install Windows Defender K915597 with success.  Cool deal.  It end tonight here and he says it is to install the updates and then stops.  Next day:
    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - KB978506 failed
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - KB978506 failed
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
    1/27 - office Live add-in 1.4 successful
    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - driver update successful
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - KB978506 failed
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
See a pattern here?  So I should also mention that all of a sudden if I click log off or switch users while one of these updates says waiting and not pass/fail it hangs on Please wait... I waited about 10 minutes (normally it's about 10 seconds for the newspaper and immediate to change user) then have to restart the computer or force the feeding cycle.  So I decided to uncheck the Group of updates and just try one at a time through the automatic updates.
    Wait what he...
    1/28 - KB976972 successful
    1/28 - KB978506 successful
    1/28 - KB977074 successful
    1/28 - KB915597 successful (Windows Defender again)
    Hooray! life is good again!
It end tonight here and he said please wait... Configuration of windows or something like this.  Odd.  Given that all of the updates succeeded and I had no updates available message.  Well it stops down.
On the morning.  Please wait while windows configures (or other) updates failed returning changes.  What updates?  They managed you cursed!
    29/1 - KB976972 failed (what  Wait.  What?)
    1/29 - KB978506 failed (what  Wait.  What?)
    1/29 - KB977074 failed (what  Wait.  What
    ?)
    1/30 - KB976972 failed
    1/30 - KB978506 failed
    1/30 - KB977074 failed
1/30 - KB978506 failed (me trying just the update to the compatibility mode)
1/31 - KB977074 failed (my download and try to install the update manually)
So there is some sort of timeline for what it's worth.  So basically three updates repeatedly failing and play with my head.   Here are the error codes for each of them:
Update for Internet explore 8 Compatibility View List for Windows 7 (KB978506)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004
    Update for Windows 7 (KB977074)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004

    Update for Windows 7 (KB976972)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004
More potentially useful data.  I have manually install a (977074), said she is successful and I want to reboot, Yes, please wait windows configuration, stops, comes up, please wait configuration updates, no error, log, look at the history of the update, says "pending" 977074 next, I reboot on mine, please wait windows configuration, stop , rises, please wait for configuration updates, UPDATES COULD not return changes, allows me to connect... She does it every time.
So I think I'll just deselect all and hide updates, screw it right?  I don't really have the situations these difficulty going home anyway.  So all deselected.  No found update, green check in Windows doesn't update.  Everything is cool.  Stop this night here, please wait windows configuration, stops, appears, wait for updated configuration to update, UPDATES FAIL back.
And yet, he is suspended when the logoff or switch user thing.
    Seriously.  What is going on?
