7510 and warning (s) ink cartridge

Just install my new 7510 yesterday on my network wireless with 3 iMacs from Apple.

Got a strip naked on all photos scanned, which seemed vertically, and about a third of the front of the screen of scanning.

The updated drivers from Apple seems to have solved this, now at least half a dozen times every day, several reviews pop up, indicating that a new cartridge has been installed correctly. One review for each cartridge!

Someone at - he lived this problem andfouns notice a resolution?

Hello

Installed the printer using the original CD?

In my view, that the latest version on the HP site should solve the problem.

I suggest you completely remove the installed printer from one of your Mac as follows:

* Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.

1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
2. Select Applications
3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
4. double-click on uninstall HP application
5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

Fix permissions of the drive to avoid any possible problem:

1. open the Applications folder.
2. go to the Utilities folder.
3. double-click on disk utility.
4 Select the hard disk that contains the boot volume.
5. go to the first aid tab and select Repair disk permissions.
Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and the amount of the permissions that need to be repaired. The journal of the progress will tell you when the process is complete.

Install the latest version of the software below:

http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL39698/MP-96959-2/Photosmart-7510-series_v12.14.0.dmg

Finally, install any available updates by clicking the Apple icon and updated software.

Please let me know if this can help,

  • Photosmart HP 7510: Change what black ink cartridge is used.

Our 7510 HP ink slots for small and XL cartridges, however it will not use the small cartridge ink. How to change the parameters to pass to the thin cartridge XL, small is running out of ink and I can't find the black ink cartridge (Photo) in stores now. I bought two 'small', one was a XL, not labelled as such and we ordered cartridges from HP on the web and they were too big too. I need to be able to use the XL Black ink cartridge that is installed.

    Thank you..

    Hello

First, XL ink cartridges are physically the same size with normal cartridges (same number). The difference is more inks XL cartridges.

Your printer has 2 black ink cartridges, one narrower called Photo ink cartridge and one large/more bigger called black ink cartridge. When printing in grayscale, the printer will mix all the colors to give B & W. If you want to print black ink only, you must indicate to your printer. Please try

    (a) double-click the desktop printer icon.
    (b) click on set preferences.
    (c) click on advanced.
d select "Black ink" only for printing in grayscale
    (e) click Ok/apply.

Note: printer must still all color inks and it will consume a very small amount of ink over the warmng of trial.

    Kind regards.

  • Photosmart HP 7520 - selection between large and small black ink cartridges

    Hello

How to choose the big back in print cartridge. 564 large black ink cartridge and the small cartridge is 564 photo XL.  The printer uses only the thin cartridge ink and not the large carridge. Is it possible to select one cartridge to another?

    Thank you

So looks like you do not print photos and print text documents only the photo ink is used.  Does not serve ordinary black ink.  Are read you the ink gauge of the printer or the computer?  They both agree?  I have some additional questions.

    1. What is the ink level estimated for each cartridge according to the gauge of printer ink?
    2. Are one of the toner cartridges "SETUP"?  If so, which?
    3. Are the HP brand ink cartridges?
    4. Have you removed and reinstalled ink cartridges?  Does make a difference.
    5. You have run the print head cleaning utility?  To do this, click the key button, then Tools , then on print head cleaning.  I ran 2 or 3 times.

    Are there changes?

  • HP 78 and purchased red ink cartridge does not print, purchase was by mail with a HP 45 cartridge

Purchase was about a month to six weeks - waiting for the old cartridge to run out. Where red is normally printed is a shade of light green. Open to a suggestion of how to fix this problem. The printer is my old reliable Deskjet 990Cxi. The system is a HP Tower. works with Windows 7 SP2. This result occurs when the test page is printed when you install a new cardtrige (s) and when I print a document using Word with red symbology. There is no error message, just the eye ball and see that the page is incorrect. I bought HP cardtriges four or five times before with no problem, as long as they are not available in retail stores more.

Thank you very much, Bill [personal information deleted]

Okay Bill, because it is still under warranty I would say certainly contact HP telephone support on this issue, because I think that you will need a replacement cartridge.

Can you please let me know how you go?

    Thank you

  • Ink cartridge Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install black cartridge.

I have installed and reinstalled the ink cartridge black for my Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install the black print cartridge.  I pointed out quite in the restart including manual online, the fact to unplug printer, etc..

    Help, please.

This error of "Install black cartridge" is usually caused by a piece of packaging material that remains on the cartridge. The document below should help you to solve the problem. If this does not work, try to do a hard reset. If neither works, let me know.

Toner blinking or 'Install black print cartridge' Message is displayed on the control panel:
    http://goo.GL/Nlqpg

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

  • Replace the ink cartridges and not shown on the new copy of the outs ink

I have a HP 8500 printer a9110. I just replaced all ink cartridges 3 colours (black cartridge is always good). After replacing, I tried to print and all that comes out are white print out without color or very light tone. I tried to go to tools clean and align the heads. Cleaning worked but received failure on align option. I turned off and unplugged the unit kidnapped and released new ink cartridges. Also, I removed the two heads and cleaned with a soft cloth. Everyone knows this problem before. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that should have used a lot of ink.

Although it shows that 60%, I think you should be able to print as well.

Sorry I don't really have much information on it, but I'm glad you were able to solve your problem!

  • # 61 HP ink cartridges: HP nine 61 black and tricolor cartridges are defective

I have a brand new game (61 black and tri-color) ink cartridges that are defective. They do not print properly when installed on my printer, I still have my receipt and the expiration on the box is August 2016. It must be deefctive cratridges because I bought new cartridges and they work fine.

How can I return it for a refund or an excvhange? Thank you.

The store (Best Buy) said I have to go through HP for the Exchange/refund.

You mention Best Buy so I guess you're the Canada or the United States.  If they are HP cartridges (not third party rebuilt or filling) and then call HP to 1-800-HPINVENt.  If you reside outside the United States or the Canada see contact information here.

The guarantee for cartridges is separate from the printer warranty.  See here for more information on the cartridge warranty.

  • ink cartridge issue

I have a Photosmart 7510 and my small black cartridge is empty. The biggest is always good (new), but I can not any methoeds of the machine. I don't understand why.

    Hello

You have all the ink cartridges, the fat black is black but narrow black is black photo and you both need to. You can force it to print, but the chances are very slim. Please replace with a new black photo cartridge. If you need to print something now, please send it to her.

  • All-in-one Deskjet 2540: Brand New Deskjet 2540 - "cartridge is Incompatible - black ink cartridge.

I just got a new HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-one yesterday, ordered from amazon.de, went through the installation of software on my 2015 Macbook Pro running OSX Yosemite, deleted the band contained in 301 ink cartridges provided, placed them in the printer (tricolor on the left, in black on the right) without touching the electrical contacts or the ink nozzles and tried and align the ink cartridges.

    I met an error message:

    'Incompatible ink cartridge.

    Black [K]

The cartridge listed above is not intended for use in this printer as it is currently configured.

    Please see using printer. "

Strange, but no matter, the bad seats maybe. I opened the drawer, removed black and reinstalled. Same error message. Well, I ordered an extra authentic HP 301 XL knowing I would run on Finally, maybe my ink cartridge provided was bad. I removed the 301 XL tape and installed. This time, no message error, but as soon as I went to print an alignment page, I received the same error. I went back between cartridges and sometimes I get the printer to accept it, but any attempt to use the printer caused an error message.

So I went on this forum, found a few tips on how to solve the problem. I tried the resets seats and the relocation and hard. Same error message. I went to clean the contacts, using a cotton swab, filter coffee and bottled water Jig only contacts of eletrical on two ink cartridges (normal and XL) and contacts of printers. I let them dry for 10 minutes and reinstall. Same error message, no progress.

I'm at a loss for what to do that this is a new printer and I say to myself that I would not have this much trouble. If I could get advice on what to do and more: seats/resettlement, cleaning the contacts, hard reset, it would be appreciated.

    HI bchowseph,

I found some information about the printer product Specifications.  It does not list the cartridge 301 for Western Europe.  The 61 is for North America.  I think I made the assumption that you were in the United States (my bad!)

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-2540-all-in-one-printer-series/5295960/model/5295961/document/c03811750/

I greatly apologize for the confusion!

Yet, the printer should accept the cartridges you had - so I think I can get a replacement printer is the right course of action.

The ink cartridges should be OK for a few days in an airtight container.  You may need to run a routine cleaning cartridge if you see necessary ink missing once you have installed.

If you need to return the standard procedure is to call HP customer care.

I hope that everything works with the replacement printer.  I also hope it is resolved quickly!

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

It's just one of those things - you must have all five cartridges to print with that printer.

    Experience:

The Photo black is not just for the pictures - this type of black is "jet black" and is used for special types of printing needs "black-black" including pictures, graphics and photos.

Black regular print gray-black, gray, mixtures with other colors and prints some blackish fonts.

You bought into this concept when you purchased this printer - maybe - not deliberately, but so much.  Additional 'Photo Black' is one of the reasons for this printer is capable of reproducing really excellent color photographic Images.

    The facts about Photo Black

The following is provided by our own Provost Expert Bob_Headrick .

The document explains how to use the ordinary black and photo black ink cartridges used in the 7520 Photosmart and printers Photosmart 7525.

    Partial extract:

The smallest cartridge is the photo cartridge, used for printing of dark areas when the photo paper is selected in the driver, or 'automatic' paper selection is enabled, the media type is detected as photo paper.  It can also be used in some cases when you print graphics on plain paper.  If you are printing on plain paper make sure "plain paper" is selected in the selection of the type of media for the driver.

Photosmart 7525 may require ink in all colors (including photos and black) to avoid any clogging of printheads.  See here for more information on how the ink is used.  PhotoSmart 7525 is an IIC printer in the terminology of this document.

  • Exploded A of ink cartridge: help!

I got my printer stored in its original packing, after that I moved and had not used for about a year. He has been exposed to high temperatures during the summer. I unpacked last night and the tricolor ink cartridge had exploded inside the printer. Only blue ink came out. Ink colorful especially the part where the cartridge makes contact with the printer. I tried to clean up as much as I could with a Q-tips but the printer is still stained. I have included some pictures of the mess as it was and the other after I cleaned most of it. Printer is ok? Can I buy a new cartridge, install it and use it? I don't want to cause further damage. Is there another way I can clean this wider without damaging the printer components?

    HP PhotoSmart C4480

An update on my printer, it's that I followed the tip to clean a little more with moist q-tips. With a lot of attention.

I bought new cartridges and installed them. It printed fine test page later, I printed a few simple Word documents and this worked well worked as well.

I'll try some printing color pictures later and a report on the results.

Fortunately, so far it seems to work perfectly.
