  • Windows does not close

    I have "Windows is shutting down" screen but it does not close and try to stop the virtual machine is not to do anything. What can I do?

    Choose the Virtual Machine menu, then hold the option key on your keyboard.  Case comments must take off Power.  Who should force on the virtual machine as if you were pulling the plug on a real machine.  Once you start up check to see if it continues to be.  It's probably a windows service which stops not correctly.  If he continues to to choose Start > run then type msconfig.  In there, go to the area of services and the check hide all microsoft services and then click on disable all button.  Then go to the Startup tab and disable all there too.  Click ok, but restart again.  Send a CtrlAltdel command to the virtual machine in the virtual machine menu and then in Manager tasks start to leave the services there until she is very minimal.  Then restart.  Once rebooted try to stop again.  We expect that the virtual machine must close properly.  If Yes, then you can activate material in the section services and startup in msconfig, slowly, until you determine which item in it is causing the problem.

  • Save as window will not close.

    I have a window that says "Save as."  It displays the name of the file and offers me a file type to save as PDF Files(*PDF) but if I click Save I lose the window but it appears later, if I hit Cancel it cancels but appears later and if I hit the X at the top it closes but appears once again, everytime I open the Chrome. When you receive this popup?

    This problem can occur because the system virus.

    I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is no virus.

    Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. He found two files.  I closed the Find dialog box and replace Options, but the results window remains open.  It is located on my second monitor, and the upper part of the window is off the screen so I can't click on a close button in the title bar - if there is one.

    I closed and reopened the RoboHelp left and rebooted my workstation project.  The window remains open.  Not only in the project where I did the research, but in each RoboHelp project I tried this opening day.

    Hi NLWest,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

    It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • ESX 2.5 Windows servers not close properly

    I have a client with a 3 servers ESX 2.5 and about 6 months ago or not, Windows virtual servers on all the boxes with not stopped completely.  When you go to START, then STOP, it will start at the stop and just hang at a blank blue screen and never the powerdown of servers is complete. It is by performing all virtual machines running in the ESX environment.  All ideas

    I spoke to Microsoft and they said that it is a question of VMware. They are running ESX 2.5.3 build 28065.

    Of course they did, Microsoft has its OWN product of virtualization, it's called "Hyper-V" then of course they giong to point to VM Ware as the culprit, typical MS, if they are not the solution to blame the other guy.  You will ALSO find this problem on THEIR product also and it is more widespread, that they're going to blame then?

    I KNOW , it is a question of Windows because nothing in VM Ware has nothing to do with the stop and since it is through ALL of your virtual machines and we have similar backgrounds on ESX 2.5, 3.5, and I saw this before and I KNOW there are KB articles on MS Windows machines (physical or not) I am familiar with the issue.

    And since it's on YOUR environment, there must be a common product that prevents the closure, which is why I said check the logs... some common service, program or driver you are using is the cause, but it is not a problem with VM Ware, its windows, I don't like what said Ms.  Their product has a LOT of problems with stop (google.com if you don't ' believe me) and there is the solution, fix Windows stop prevention program.

    Antivirus ALSO is a great place to start, since it is probably common among ALL your environments.

  • Windows Vista starts - Windows error message does not close properly

    Whenever I turn on my computer, I get a message that Windows did not close properly, even though I know that I went through the correct procedure when stopping down.  It started only in the last days.  I did not change my machine or installed / uninstalled something.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
  • Can someone help me to close the window does not respond?
    Original title: Window does not close
    A twitter log in window, on which none of the buttons or links is active, will not close. I first tried the 'show desktop' button in the systray, but it has no effect. Then I opened the Task Manager, but it does show some programs either running or not responding. Thirdly I tried to restart my computer, but the frozen window back each time to start my computer. Can someone help me to close this window permanently does not?
    I kept thinking on problem window disappears in safe mode. It seemed to me that maybe I could just replace the bureau. I selected Control Panel/customization/Desktop Background and select a light blue color. The window of the problem magically disappears. Do you think it is gone for good, or he'll be back?   • Windows Firefox will not close.
    Hello
    I am running windows 8.1 and Firefox 38.0.1. whenever I click on the Red 'x' to close Firefox, Firefox will not close. If I want to close all tabs, Firefox does not close the last tab. If I try to merge windows (by dragging the tab of a window in a different window) Firefox will create a blank tab on the window where I dragged the dragged tab. So far, the only way to close the Fire Fox is click on the close button or to stop by the Task Manager. When I re - open Firefox Windows and previous tabs are also there, and I'm still not able to close them. I restarted my PC and reinstalled Firefox (uninstalled and re-download). However, after downloading Firefox... the same windows will be opened, with the same tabs! It's horrible!
    Hello cach_dies,
    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
    • Click the menu button
      click Help
      then select restart with disabled modules.
    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
