Printer (HP Photosmart C5180).

When you try to scan to the computer, I get the error message "no option to scan." Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot issues. Don't know what the printer display made reference.

Recently purchased new computer (HP Pavilion dv7). Downloaded the correct driver for Windows 7 64-bit.  How can I scan options enter the new computer?

Hello tsieracki

"No. Scan Options" message generally scan options have not been defined in the solution Center still. Follow the article below to resolve the error. If the problem persists how your printer is connected to the computer? You can scan from center of Solution?

  • 0xc18a0106 on Photosmart c5180 error code

I followed the recommended procedure, but the problem persists. The printer connected to a network home via the gateway.

The printer does not work and returns the error code 0xc18a0106 on the front panel of the printer and work is the removal of the (QC) all cartridges have been replaced by nine. Any proposal to resolve this situation?

    Hi demertzy,

Just had this problem on my HP Photosmart C5180 printer.

    That's what I did:

If you get an error message on your screen of the printer (HP Photosmart C5180) that says "0xc18a0106-ink system has failed", you will need to perform a reset of the printer.

Something usually causes the error and it is generally a chip failed, an obsolete chip or break when installing a new cartridge, and this must be corrected before continuing. Most of the problems usually come from the last cartridge inserted, so start by replace this cartridge. You will also need all the cartridges with low ink in there or you will need to replace any empty before continuing. After replacing the cartridge problem, keep it as it can be allowed to use at a later date, once the error has been reset.

    To reset the printer:
1 - Unplug the USB cable from the printer.
2 - Press the key On / Off turn the printer power off, unplug the power cable from the printer, press and hold the 'OK' button and the 'HELP' button, then plug the power cable, wait a few seconds and release both keys, then press 'On '.
Your printer will now initialize and you will need to follow the on-screen instructions and selection of the printer. This can take several minutes to complete. Your error code should now be gone, and you will now be able to copy and print.
3 reconnect the USB cable from the printer.

He has worked with me... Hope it will work for you.

  • Problem cartridge HP Photosmart C5180

Recently, I tried to change the cartridges for a printer HP Photosmart C5180 and bought two new sets, so I got some for the future. The representative of HP in the store told me that 02xl vivera HP inks would work as well as 363 regular cartridges supplied with the printer and that they would be more beneficial that they hold more than 50% ink. They also fit perfectly into the printer.

When I put in the error message the front of the printer says: "the ink cartridges are not intended for use with this printer. I can't bring back them to the shop as I bought a HP store in Las Vegas and I live in England. Please, please help if you can because I do not know that they would work with change of parameter or something.

    Kind regards

    Andy

Sorry, the 02 cartrdiges cannot be implemented in the C5180 which is regionalized for England.  There are certain circumstances where HP can change the settings of the regionalization of a printer, but this case does not match this model.

  • Scan driver for HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One

I recently replaced my hard drive and while my printer (HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One) works fine, I have no more scanning software. When I insert the installation disk I get a message saying that the software is not compatible with Vista (Home Premium). All I can find on the site of HP's software driver. This disc was used to work on this computer. The only difference I can think is that Vista has been updated. Where can I find analytical software that works on my Vista OS update?

    Try this driver for Vista

  • HP Photosmart C5180 printer range: computer says it is printing, but will not be printed

My printer was working fine until yesterday. The display shows 'printing', but nothing happens. I tried to turn it works, made sure I've had connections in place and give him a rest from one day to the next, but she still does not print. Thank you for your suggestions you have!

Welcome to the HP community @fondyia,

I read on how your Photosmart C5180 is no longer printing from your PC running Windows 10, and I want to help you get this resolved!

I suggest first trying the steps described in this guide:

Tip: Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

When you are finished, please let me know the result. If there are printing problems that are still visible, try to make a copy of the printer and tell me what's happening! If you see errors, made me know what they say, if you please!

(Please try to print from more than one program on your PC)

If one of my suggestions, helped to reach a solution, I ask you to click on the button "Accept as Solution" please and thank you!

  • My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one will not print text correctly in black, color print very well.

My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One does not print black without be eliminated text or streaks in the text. Will print fine text color.

Have tried all the "patches" you list and much more. The printer prints fine on my old PC Windows XP and worked fine on my

new PC using Windows 7 until recently.

Please don't tell me to... Reinstall, download the new driver, install the new cartridge, clean align the print heads, different paper or go to 'solutions '... Etc... Etc.  I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!

Everything you "patches" end with 'the unit of service... " WHAT IN THE WORLD WHAT THAT MEANS!

This has been a nice printer for more than 5 years, but is somewhat glitch spoil me when using the BLACK INK?

    Gordon,

Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more

    then buy a new one.

It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.

But don't thank you for the reply... even if it was a joke!

  • How to fix color on skin tones in a printer Photosmart c5180 on Windows 7?

    Good afternoon

I use some time a Photosmart C5180 printer to print on A4 sheets, capture some of my Nikon D90 photos.

If the prints generally show a reasonable quality, I was quite wrong with color moving in much darker tones of skin that appear more pink and against nature.

Does anyone have the same experience or know how to solve the problem?

    Thank you

It does not help.  As the calibration option is not there, it may be because you have the version of Solution Center does not offer this option.  If I remember correctly, it was deleted in the later version because it has been incorporated in the own options or alignment.  I think that the problem is in the print or color management driver in the computer.  The only option to tailor color management is in the printer printing preferences.

    1. Click on the start menu.
    2. Click devices and printers.
    3. Right click on printing preferences.
    4. Click the Advanced tab.
    5. Change the setting of the HP real life technology.  If it is check, uncheck and visa versa.
    6. Try to print the photo again.

If changing the color management setting does not resolve the problem, then follow the document below to assign the printer to use a different printer driver.  I recommend the 990c Deskjet.

  • Wireless laptop cannot connect to Photosmart C5180 printer on network

I recently got a new computer, which is the main connection to our home network.  We have a laptop and a Photosmart C5180 printer.  I can't get the wireless laptop to connect to the printer, even though I have the shared printer on the pc.  I have the printer connected to the pc via a USB cable.

I see the printer shared and available on the laptop, but get the error message when you try to print.

Does anyone know what I'm missing that will allow me to print from wireless laptop?  It worked until I'm the new pc, so I know I'm missing something.  Should the laptop have both installed printer software/drivers?

Yes, the printer directly connected to a router with an Ethernet cable will be the simplest solution.

Yes, all computers will be able to access the printer on the network as long as they are connected to the same router (Ethernet or wireless, regardless).

He shared from the computer and the printer connected to a computer with a USB cable are not a real printer on a network.  This creates what is essentially a print server and the computer with the USB connection manages the interaction of this printer with all the devices on the network.

A USB connected printer sharing can be done, but it's a lot more work that the printer is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

It's really a lot more work to set up the printer with a printer shared over a network connection USB method true when it comes to do this with Windows 7.

Windows XP made it incredibly simple, but he was not very secure on a network.  With Windows XP, all you had to do was to share the printer, and then install it on another computer.

With Windows 7 on both computers, you must configure a homegroup, enable file sharing and printers (disabled by default), share the printer and install the printer on the computer client / remote.  In addition, this method will require the host to be on anytime for remote printing machines.

The printer is connected to the router with a Ethernet means that the functionality of the printer depends solely on the router being on (most are on 24/7).  Computers will print regardless of the other computer either on or off.  There should be a shorter time in the impression that a computer is responsible for printing rather than two computers.

Again, I will be more than happy to help you set up with the method USB shared with two Windows 7 computers if that's what you want.  You find that it is much easier to use the Ethernet connected method to be simpler and more efficient to print well.

If you want, here's a little more information from Microsoft on sharing a printer between two units of Windows 7.

    Setting up a homegroup

Activate the file & printer sharingand sharing the printer on a Windows 7 computer

As long as the printer & file sharing is enabled and two Windows 7 computers are in the same group of residential, you should be able to use the USB share method.  Without these two two options being Setup, it simply does not work with two Windows 7 systems.

  • Photosmart C5180 will print does not correctly on Mac OS 10.8.4

    Hi all

My hp Photosmart C5180 works fine with Mac OS X 10.7.4. Now, after replacing my old Mac with a new, the scanner works but the printer prints only a few lines, never the entire page. This occurs when you send the document to print Word 2011 and preview. I deleted and added the C5180, without success. I also tried the software update option, but there is nothing new here. Next step would be to try to remove the software from all the hp and reinstall... What is my best option?

Thanks in advance for our help :-)

  • HP Photosmart C5180 and Ethernet

Hello everyone. My Photosmart C5180 has Ethernet connection. Despite this, connect a RJ45 cable to my router and it does not share the printer wireless via a router. It worked before, when I bought it, but no more (long). Now, I decided to invest some time to solve the problem. The green light in the router does not light and internal router page, I do not see the printer. In the screen of the printer, it is said: ' hostname: not applicable; "IP address: 0.0.0.0" then I have a MAC address, supposed to be ok. Cable RJ45 really doesn't change anything.

    Router - D-Link DVA g3170
    DHCP-active

Please help because I really need to print wireless :/

    Thanks in advance!

If it is under warranty, I would call HP.   Otherwise, it is not fixed.
