8 of Windows and Xbox 360 connectivity issues

Since the update to Windows 8, I'm having problems with streaming of media to my Xbox 360.

Previously, I had windows 7 and has been able to stream multimedia content (movies and music), or via the Media Center windows, or by connecting to my PC via the Xbox drive and folder navigation.
Since the update to Windows 8 Media Center not connecting, he used even together upwards. I enter the 7 digit code set up and my computer says it cannot establish a connection. I tried to connect to my PC through the Xbox and when it can not connect.
In the list of devices, the Xbox is displayed and even so capricious it shows that the Xbox is online and I am able to stream on my 360 using the video app and selecting "send to device" and selecting the 360. Unfortunately, this will randomly cut everything playing and yesterday would not work?
I am running windows 8 Pro 64-bit with media center installed. I am connected via WIFI to my router, but my Xbox 360 has a wired connection
Please help, I'm getting so frustrated that I spent a fortune on upgrading my PC and OS lose all the features, I already had
Thank you very much

  • Windows compatible xbox 360 wired controller

Purchased windows compatible xbox 360 wired controller this seller assured me would work under Vista. But apparently not.
I downloaded the latest driver suitable for the material and installed according to the instructions (with controller unplugged) but still no joy.  I have Vista Home Premium.  The controller is recognized and responds in the calibration utility, but doesn't seem to work for the games. Is it compatible for Vista and Modern Warefare 2?  Are only some supported games? If I lost my time & or silver?

Only some games support a controller.  Most of the games, including pulling just support a mouse - frankly because it's much better to use a tiny stick.

If his work all in calibration tools then the controller is working properly, unless the cod has an option somewhere to allow a controller then it probably does not support one.  His place to decide what methods of control that they want to support the game developers. Greetings Dani56777,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you run Windows 10 and you must update iTunes to the latest version so that your iPhone will be recognized when connected. I do not know if you receive an error when you try to update iTunes or not.

If you need information on how to update iTunes, please follow the instructions in the following link.

Download the latest version of iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

If you receive an error or alert, you can consider removing iTunes and all of its associated components and then reinstalling fresh iTunes on your computer. That would give you the latest version of iTunes. If you need execute this process, please follow the steps described in the following article.

Remove iTunes Control Panel and its associated components

Use the control panel to uninstall iTunes and software components in the following order:

    1. iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Hello
    5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
    6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.

Do these elements in a different order, uninstall or uninstall only some of them. This could have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you may be asked to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you finish remove all components.

Remove and reinstall iTunes and software for Windows 7 and later versions - Apple Support components

I can't get my Xbox to connect to Windows Media Center.  When I ran Vista it would work, but now that I am on Windows 7, 64-bit, it just does not connect.  The strange thing is that I'm able to share media from my PC to the Xbox without fail.  In addition, Windows Media Center has detected the Xbox on the network.  But for some reason, the Xbox cannot find the Windows Media Center.  It makes no sense at all.  I even tried disabling the Windows Firewall to see if it would work, but it didn't.  There is no other firewall in my home network.  Help, please.

  • Running and Xbox 360 via Windows Media Center

Hello, I am a new student of college, and because my funds are limited I am using my Xbox 360 via my PC monitor. When I bought my computer, I got also a HDTV Tuner with composite video options. Through their software, I could connect my xbox and see it, but I was wondering if there was a way I could do it through Windows Media Center or something similar. I saw that there is a cable that goes from the Xbox to VGA, but I think that there will be problems with the sound (where I have the red/white audio cables?). Not sure if there is a converter or not, but like I said before, funds are limited. Thanks for all your help and I look forward to hear from someone as soon as possible.

    Tyler Campbell

    Hey TechTyler,

Since you have only one monitor and want to connect your PC and X - Box for the same monitor, I suggest that you try to find a separator that would help you get out of the XBox and the PC. You can use one of those to get the result on the same monitor of 2 devices. Who would use a VGA cable to connect 2 devices. You will be able to switch between your PC and the X - Box.You can try to search separator you can use to connect two monitors. I hope this information helps.

However, we at microsoft do not recommend or suggest one of these, you will need to use them at your own risk.

  • WRT54G2 show me customers & xbox 360 lag issue

I just got a wireless router WRT54G2 about 2 days ago, and after having switched from Netgear, I badly due to find some settings.

I have 3 computers on my network and 1 Xbox 360. One is one laptop (WiFi), the other 2 desktops (directly connected).

They do not appear in the DHCP Clients. I get lag issues on my Xbox 360 and I want to see if its using the IP address I posted, since I'm portforwarding. I decided to go ahead and manually configure all computers to have a static IP address.

If the DHCP Clients cannot be resolved, is there another way to see that if the Xbox is using the IP I assigned it?

Triple post, oh gosh. I fixed it, well done linksys. I just updated the firmware, I just bought it didn't this necessary update already! But Portforwarding and UPnP are on, if all goes well no conflicts!
