  • iTunes says my iPhone 5 c is 8GB, but says he has a 5.15 GB capacity. Why is this?

I noticed this for a while now. iTunes and my iPhone 5 c case came in says it's 8GB. But looking at storage left on my iPhone and iTunes, it seems only 5.15 GB. Why is this?

The iOS operating system and apps alone can explain the difference.

  • X200s flacky latch wireless

My new X200s has a lock wireless flacky.

Windows sometimes gives the message that all wireless radios are now turned off. So, as if I changed the hardware switch. But I didn't touch anything.

I think it's hardware related because sometimes I just yently touches the switch and windows will tell me that the radios are at it again. It is not so much a problem, but sometimes a few hours and fixing it would be nice.

I removed the keyboard and palmrest, but cardbus (?) still prevents me from having a thorough review. Don't know if I can get more closely without removing the motherboard together. Because that would be a little too much.

I removed the keyboard and palmrest and use a brush to come close and give him a good brush.

Although I do not know if I cleaned it (because I can't check visually) he seems fine now

  • problems with upgrade hard drive on X200s

Hi I'm trying to upgrade my old hard drive (SATA 200 GB at 7200 RPM) on my X200s (Windows XP - SP3, 3 GB of RAM) to a new hard drive: Seagate Momentus 750 GB

To do this, I created 3 partitions in my new hard drive:

    1. a 400 GB partition to recreate the existing Windows system

    2. a 25 GB recovery partition, which is preventing the drive from origin of the existing partition from rescue

    3. the rest (about 325 casuals) on a FAT32 partition empty (on which I intend to install linux or freebsd later)

Then I cloned the recovery disks and windows using Acronis and then replaced the old disk with a new one.

Finally, I see the following error message:

Playing a disc error has occurred

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart

I tried to fix the master boot record using a disk objects, but the hot spare displays the blue screen of death at half way through. Put the old drive brings the system online. New drive works as well when I put in a basket USB and find in files.

So I would like to know if there is a way to step by step to diagnose the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

OK, I think I thought about her. There seems to be some kind of problem of bootloader. To fix a little:

1 make sure that you create a rescue disk before doing the clone and replace. I highly recommend the Hiren's boot disk that you can download here:

    http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/

    2. can the amorçage using this disk. From there, I see the options - Boot Windows / XP in the main hard drive (it's the first option). When I select it, I can start fine in the cloned disk.

  • Adapter sector X200s break?

    Hello

For my X200s 65W AC adapter just broke and I got a used replacement which also turned up to be broken.

The computer works 100% with a regular adapter 90W and another adapter 90W modified with a record of broken 65W adapter. (The Central plug tells the computer what type of adapter is connected).

My questions are: is this a common problem that 65W adapters break?

The alternative is that there is a mistake in my computer that destroys adapters 65W (possibly by a misinterpretation of the information of the Central Plug and drawing too much current). Everyone met such a problem? (No need to buy an another 65W adapter if the mobo it will break too.)

    Thanks in advance.

    Niclas

Hi and thanks for your answers.

I bought a second replacement AC adapter 65 and it works without problems.

I guess I was just out of luck with the first break and then buy a replacement (used) which was found to be broken.

    Kind regards

  • X200s + ban (DisplayPort) to connect to the LED Cinema Display Apple (mini DisplayPort)?

I'm considering buying Apple LED Cinema Display that has only one connection, mini DisplayPort. I have a X200s and the ban with DisplayPort.

Did anyone have this combination work?

Get a mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort connection is not easy what I can tell, but I spoke of circuits Assembly and they have a product that will ensure the necessary liaison (http://estore.circuitassembly.com/products/Mini-Displayport-Female-to-Displayport-Male-Adapter-Cable...), but cannot be sure it will work because they do not have Apple display on-site.

All information on the issue of whether someone has had this or a similar configuration work would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Mark

not sure, but it was a displayport to display mini port cable, Plug and play... He was provided on site Office, there was no mark on it.

  • Key keyboard X200s erupted when put back the keyboard

I have was withdrawal keyboard on my X200s to clean it up a little, because it seemed that something had got stuck in one of the mouse buttons. When I put the keyboard back, I noticed the right ctrl key become loose, and I tried to reattach it. Then I noticed the small metal clips that holds the part of the key had folded, so I could return the key.

A picture to show what I mean: http://i40.tinypic.com/21oq1j7.jpg

Note the upper metal clips on the right key.

Is - fixable? Try to bend the clips at the back is the obvious thing to try first, but I hesitate because they might break or I might damage something on the keyboard while trying to do so. Or should I buy a new keyboard or without right ctrl key?

I encourage you to give Lenovo a call to replace the keyboard (if under warranty). They must be able to redeem 1 free 1.

  • Upgrading an Envy 15-j171nr with 8GB and 24GB SSD 16 GB cache

I'm a 15-j171nr with 8GB and 24 GB SSD cache. Whe I have it set to purchase the Configurator said the cache of 24GO was incompatible with more than 8 GB of RAM.  'Maintenance and Service of Guide' (p/n 733845-001) said the same thing on page 5:

    «mSATA SSD»

Support for mSATA 24 GB SSD (not available on the computer equipped models with 16834 or 12288 MB of system memory or a 256 GB or 512 GB SSD)"

    My questions are:

    -How are they incompatible?

-How do you upgrade a 8 GB to 16 GB model during the withdrawal of the mSATA 24GO card?

The additional DIMM module is physically incompatible with the mSATA map, they install in remote locations. I guess it could be a thermal or issue of power but neither part draws a lot of power or generates a lot of heat. This is * not * a problem with software compatibility. How will I know? Because I advanced and installed the extra 8 GB DIMMS and the laptop continues to operate correctly, but now has 16 GB or RAM.

The question about the upgrade is because when you use the card as a cache mSATA configuring map mSATA and the mechanical drive as a RAID array. I guess when you remove the mSATA card you must rebuild the image of the operating system on the drive of 2.5 inches.

    -Craig

Some people report if they switch to 16 gigs, they start to become quick start Intel and Intel Rapid Storage errors. If you're not, then you do not experience incompatibility. I think that HP will not sell 16 concerts with the WSSD of 24 concert because if you are using Intel Rapid Start the MSSD has contain the entire contents of the RAM and all the other files that have been stored there for hibernation. 24 concerts can be a little tight. Map of the WSSD is not accessible from the service Bay. It is hidden on the motherboard. You can actually slow down the main drive of the WSSD through the Intel Rapid Storage console. If you have installed 16 gigs and are having no problem just keep using the laptop and count you lucky. If you need assistance more let us know. I have a very similar model: the Envy 17-j029nr and played well with all the features of hard drive so I feel pretty good with her speed. HP it ready for me to facilitate a helping hand here on the Forum.

  • Windows XP will not read my 8GB SD, the patch says that my processor is updated and does not have this update.

Ive looked online for answers. I even passed on my media for another Manager. I have a 8GB microSD/SDHC (with adapter) and XP does not recognize. I found a patch that is supposed to solve this problem, but when I try to install it, it tells me that I didn't need because I have a new update already installed.  so now im stuck. I also tried to uninstall SP3, but it isn't a delete for it under Add/Remove Programs button.

    a. click the Start button and then right click on my computer. Click on properties.

    b. click on the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. Expand the Bus USB controllers section by clicking on the sign «+»

    c. each of the devices under the USB controller section uninstall by right-clicking on each one, then click on uninstall.

  • 4GB, 8GB - how much of that is usable space?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I had no luck with a forum search or nets of FAQ/general Questions. How much space on the clips of 4GB and 8GB is available for use? I would like a precise figure because I plan to pick up a Clip of 4 GB due to the recent falling prices, want to know exactly how much space I have to play with. I waited for the Clip of 8 GB and its additional memory, but a cheaper 4 GB might be too good to pass up if I can squeeze enough music in it.

My properties of Clip (revision v1) 4 GB show:

    Capacity: 4,090,875,904 bytes (3,80 GiB)

    Used: 2,063,355,904 bytes (1.92 GiB)

    for a total of:

    2,041,024,512 byte (1.90 GiB)

stored media files. It seems so, there are about 21 MiB used by files of the system, leaving a total of:

    4,068,544,512 byte (3,79 Gio)

    space of real data.
