A lot of scratches on my screen

Hello

My laptop is almost a year.
My screen was broken after three months. Their tons of hair inside and I saw something more.
After three months of repairs, my laptop has been reduced and it worked correctly.
Now, yesterday, the same thing happens again. A lot of scratches on my screen.

Now how is that possible for a laptop is not a year old?

Hello Jochen

Well, it s understandable to me why you have this problem after replacing the LCD.
But I m sure that the guarantee is valid and that it covers the repair.

Good bye

  • Satellite M50-266 - strange scratches on the screen

    Hey,.

After 4 weeks of inactivity, I turned on my Satellite M50 - 226 (bought in May 2006) and saw some strange scratches on the screen. I have a built-in ATI Radeon X 600. Already I have updated all drivers, while ATI Catalyst does not recognize the graphics card. So I tried the Omega drivers alternative, which does not help somehow.

Please see a screenshot here: http://designest.de/exchange/m50-226.png

I thought, it is clear that the graphics card is broken.

What do you think, is there an (easy) way to fix?

    Thanks for the tips,

    Mike

This problem is the reason why you use the Toshiba drivers no.
ATI drivers are not designed for the use of the laptop.

Then uninstall all drivers Toshiba no and download the latest directly from Toshiba:

  • How to remove a scratch on the screen

Is it possible to remove a scratch from the screen?

    Hello

In my opinion it depends on what size and what is the scratch. Check with your dealer if there is a way to Polish up it.

  • Dell UP2414Q (bought used, scratches on the screen. (Help!)

    Hi all

I just got a Dell UP2414Q monitor 4K from a seller on eBay who claimed the device was in excellent condition.  I know, I know... buyer beware you.  Anyway, there are scratches on the screen that I find unacceptable.  The seller does not accept returns.  I did receive the unit for a very low price and feel that I can make my money selling on craigslist, while being totally honest with his condition.

But before that, I was curious to know if there was something I could do.  Heck, I like to keep this monitor, but I can't stand the scratches (maybe I'm just picky).  So the question time:

-I know that some products have a thin protective layer on the current screen (for example many cell phones).  Is this the case with the UP2414Q?  I could just buy a replacement cover?  And if I could, it would be easy to repair?

-Dell would actually be wiling to repair the device for me?  It is difficult to reach directly they like customer number, serial number, etc that I did not like it was purchased second-hand.

Oh well, thanks for any help, guys!

No, there is not a removable protective layer. Unfortunately, Dell won't repair monitors, sells components to monitor nor have the documents of disassembly.

  • Satellite L750 - scuffed or scratch the LCD screen

It is a strange. Last night, I (foolishly) used on the back of my finger to remove dust on the screen. This could cause wear on my skin and itch of my nail brand.

I then used a white cotton t-shirt trying to wipe (not being able to find my normal cd sheet), but it did not really work so I added a small amount of water which it (I'm guessing it wasn't a good idea to use a t-shirt anyway).

I then used a new t-shirt that I thought that it was not a good idea to use the old. In natural light, you see nothing, but if I turn off the lights and pointing a flashlight on the screen I can see what looks likely to be:

    (a) water
brands (b) water and SOAP (washing powder that was in the wash t-shirt)
    (c) the scratches
    or even
    (d) a very slight scratch in the surface I have tried to clean

I tried to clean this area several times that probably made things worse.

This area represents 1/14th of the screen and the problem is really visible when a torch fire is shone on the screen and the room is dark!, so it's not obvious in the natural light.

The laptop is brand new, which is what makes my own mistake even more unbearable. I'm puzzled as to what the solution might be and saw cela, but think it's exaggerated bass:

Any ideas on how to save me from a stupid mistake?

    Hi mate

I clean my LCD (portable computer and TV) using a Microfiber cloth and special cleaning for LCDs liquid which I could buy at my computer dealer...
That s all and in my opinion, it's good enough to clean the screens.

  • Portege M200 - bad scratches on the screen

    Hello

Question, is there a chance to replace the glass on the screen without replacing it? This is the right Tablet? It has been used for a while now, and the glass is a quote scratched in many places...

Matrix is ok, it's just the glass...

No one knows that I can do myself? or it should be done through service toshiba? any ideas where I can buy it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I guess something like thisyou need. Use the Portege M200 LCD mask as search terms in Google and you will find online shops where you can order the new part.

What about replacement. After the maintenance manuals, you can exchange it only but these manuals is not a public document and I really don't think you can find it somewhere on the net. But you can try. Google all over the place. Maybe you will find something that can help you with the replacement.

  • Create a Logitech Keyboard scratched my iPad screen pro

HI, I just bought a screen protector a few weeks after I had the iPad pro. I used to keep in the Logitech create keyboard cases without the protective screen. Yesterday when I was cleaning the screen to apply the screen protector, I noticed 1 line running across the top of my screen. So I tried to clean it up, but it won't come off. So I tried to gently remove the line with my fingernail, and then I felt little stretches along the line. I checked the closing of the show to see if the keyboard was the cause and the line is perfectly superimposed with the high dash of the page of the keyboard case. Anyone of you has happened?

    Thank you

    Andrea

I am attaching 2 photos, one you can see the line to the left of the keyboard under the screen and the other you can see what I mean by the indentations of the keyboard.

They don't seem like scratches. Have you tried before you wipe them off with a little water or a lens cleaning solution?

The indents of the keyboard are metal? Ideally, it would sort of fill in the keyboard.

  • iOS 9.2.1 does always no Bluetooth and a lot of lag of the screen

Since updating to iOS 9.2 the bluetooth on my 4S did not work and is not discoverable to other devices my moms 4 s is the same as my partners.

I tried to forget all devices, by resetting the phone, I can't even pair now the phones after the 9.2.1 last updated phones are not identifiable under the new updated.

I use the Bluetooth all the time for my parrot hands-free kit in my truck for work and it's a real pita for me bread now.

Also so since ios 9.2 the phone screen started trolling and after 9.2.1 gal became even worse to the point, it seems, the phone hangs for 2 minutes.

Someone one has a solution for this?

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

  • Apple Watch scratched screen

I got my Apple Watch since Christmas and I love it.  Recently, I noticed a scratch on the screen.  Not sure how it happened.  It does not interfere with something else and shows only when light hits a certain way, but it's boring.  I kept thinking this is a task, but when it doesn't come off, I saw that it was a scratch.  I have a first generation 38mm sports watch rose gold.  Is there a way to replace the screen?

  • scratches screen iPhone SE

Recently, I replaced my iPhone with the iPhone 5 SE. I have my baby equipment, but on my 5 I've ever had a screen protector and never had any scratches. Not at all. I pre-ordered the SE, and it was to be alone in my jacket pocket (same place I kept my 5S for two years) or the face up on my desk. At this point, there are several scratches on the screen of my SE, and I don't know how it happened, that this phone has only been subjected to light use. Is it because of haste in production, or a cost-saving measure? Also, if I bring it in as AppleCare, it will be replaced and not with a refurb, but a new phone? This screen problem was addressed, or even recognized by Apple? To say that I am extremely disappointed is an understatement. I spent money on a superior product which, from this point of view is worse than that I replaced. I'm afraid to use the phone now, because I'm worried it will just worsen over time.

Only Apple could answer your original questions, but I doubt it has anything to do with rush or savings. However, speculation about how and why Apple does things are banned on the forum.

With respect to the replacement, they generally do not replace phones for aesthetic problems as long as the unit still works normally. However, you have the opportunity to make an appointment at the Genius Bar and have Apple look at the device and an opinion. Don't be surprised if they do not replace it. And if the device is replaced, Apple can replace with refurb or news, depending on the stock. They replace not again due to a customer request.

This has been acknowledged? I didn't know anything saying that he had a problem with the iPhone screen SE.

If you're disappointed, you will need to notify Apple. They are not here, this is a user to user support forum. Back to Apple goes to http://www.apple.com/feedback , and then click the area on the matter.

  • Portege Z20T: Screen gets scratched by almost anything

    Ciao!

I own a Portege Z20T B - 10 c which is a pretty nice machine, but has an embarrassing flaw: the screen is scratched by virtually any contact. For example, I can't use the "pen of emergency" for the touch input or write on the screen, because it causes scratches. In addition, the screen has already collected a series of scratches shaping the contour of the touchpad, is supposed to be produced when the laptop is closed. So you can't really use the laptop, how it should be used, and I fear that a few months from now, the screen will be filled with stripes.

While I'm waiting for my laptop store decide whether a case of warranty or not, I wonder if anyone of you has this template and it has encountered the same problem?

    See you soon,.
    Stefan

I have exactly the same problem. I only use the machine since July and already it's enough damage. Basically, the screen is rubbing against the dock and I the footprint in the sketch of the touchpad. I fear that they will soon be damaging the images captured by the camera since the outline of the Tablet are right on the lens.

Toshiba is reluctant to fix it so far and I've included the response of my rep account below. Frankly, I was shocked because it is such a costly computer and the cause of the problem seems so obvious. I was also disappointed that they do not consider this thread to assess my case since it is the first result when one Googles 'portege striped screen.

    Hello Eric,

I sent to your email with pictures of your computer laptop scratches to the screen. They responded by saying that the stripes are not due to a manufacturing defect, and there has not been an another other touchscreens Z20t reports get scratches like that on the screen, so there is nothing they can do to replace it. Our Customer Service Manager will usually just make the call to replace him, if the laptop is with the first 90 days, which is 2 and a half months after the normal return policy. He was not able to get permission to replace it.

I'm glad that you were able to get this phone back operational. Please keep this practical Business Technical Support number for future needs, that I hope that you don't always have to use it in the future. Please give me a call if you have any other questions in the future.

The "unbreakable" on the Z force screen made a top layer of plastic that is replaceable. It won't break if you drop, but it can be removed - which is shattershield.

The Holy Grail is unbreakable and intachable - but it has not been found.
