  We recommend you to check if the problem persists with another disc.
  We also recommend to run the troubleshooter for CD/DVD playback and burning. To do this, try the following steps:
  a. see play CD/DVD and burning issues.
  b. click Microsoft hotfix and run the tool successfully.
  c. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

  This configuration is not possible. You can't mix Classic replication with replication (REPLICATION CREATE) active / standby pair (CREATE the STANDBY to ACTIVE PAIR). They are mutually exclusive.

  First of all, the unit is a Packard Bell, not HP.  But, nevertheless, given the unit is infected and full of "sludge", I recommend just to start with a clean slate by installing a clean install - not an upgrade.  Get a new hard drive or clean the old drive extremely well before installing the new Windows OS. More that just format the hard drive if you intend to reuse the disk.  Since it came with Vista, it may not be true, so I'd go with Windows 7.  Windows 8 could be more than this old unit can gather.

  My email accounts all worked very well until I installed at El Capitan. Since the upgrade yesterday, I can't access any of my email on the mail accounts. It is one of my Exchange accounts and invites me to check the password and then fails to check. I looked everywhere to try to understand why it won't work but am running out of ideas. I have another exchange account which seems to work very well. I checked all the settings and don't see anything wrong anywhere. Can someone help please I need access to this account (OH and it works fine on my iPhone)

  I had to get a bluetooth mouse to use a pointing device. Can someone help me get the keys FN working again.

• Cannot complete the Windows easy transfer after upgrading Windows XP to Windows 7. Message says that I don't have enough memory.

  Advise Windows isn't the end of everything, being together.  Common sense and human interaction and research is always the majority of computing in my humble opinion.  If a program can still tell you the answer - and in fact always reason - is it a good thing?  ;-)

  From my experience, we should always do their own research - investigating on their own.  Ask others who have more experience in everything that they might plan to do a few questions so they could avoid an error.  Yet, at this stage, human beings are still the best source for experience.

  Windows XP should work fine for that machine.  In fact - it was designed essentially around it (the machine has been designed around Windows XP--came with it). I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Windows 7 and in trouble, but I assure you - with the right material, that Windows 7 is the next Windows XP. :-)
