a potential vulnerability to piracy?

one of my sites of muse has been hacked... and I believe MUSE was the target in what it is expressly mentioned in the code.  3 records have been inserted in the directory of websites - clicking the link of Web site in the browser REDIRECTED to another site (a casino in las vegas) .htaccess file reads as follows:

RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond% {ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} 200

RewriteRule ^-[L]

RewriteCond% {HTTP_USER_AGENT} (google: yahoo: msn: aol: bing) [GOLD]

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} (google: yahoo: msn: aol: bing)

RewriteRule ^(.*) $ blackens - expand.php? $1 [L]

# Begin Muse generated redirects

# End generated Muse redirects

then, there were two php files

"blackened"-"develop."

"consitently-homeomorphism.

I DELETED all the files from the server - and download the NEW SITE of the NEW VERSION of MUSE.

REDIRECTION is GONE... but now it's a matter of new submission and to have the banner "hacked" deleted the browser/search engines.

Beginning/end comments are added by Muse. The rest of the .htaccess file contains everything that you put and the Muse leaves unchanged. htaccess is a standard server configuration file so it would be something that many pirates would target in general. There is nothing specific to this topic Muse.

The most common vulnerability does not use a password for your FTP account. If you haven't already done so, you should change your password for your FTP account on this server and to raise your violation hosting provider. Some hacker attacks are made possible by the weaknesses of security on the accommodation (i.e. Server software that is not diligently being updated with the latest security patches, several tenants hosting where a security weakness can allow a breach in one account to access other accounts on the same server, etc..). I also recommend a secure variant of the FTP protocol. (See 'Options' in the file > upload to the FTP host... dialogue and select one of the security options on the bottom three, if your host allows.)

(1) use a strong password.

(2) use SFTP, or FTPES, rather simply FTP FTPIS.

(3) raise your host of the violation.

If your host provides access to review the activity of connection to your FTP account, which can make clear if your FTP credentials have been compromised.

I checked that these packages had been sent by the process of Skype. The change of IP addresses from time to time and sometimes it there streaming in all. I was not on any Skype call during this period. I have a file pcapng I can provide private these packages with over 200 k. I checked many of the IP addresses and found that all the ones I checked were on blacklists of some sort, so it may be the zombie PCs using Skype on other PC to transmit information or calls.

I use Skype 4.3.0.37 on Ubuntu 14.04 (updated). I checked the Skype updates, and he says I'm on the latest version. I tried to go through the process of reporting of security vulnerabilities and I had the choice to post here or wait for 20 minutes to chat with someone...

Please contact me directly. I make sure that my contact information on my Skype profile is up-to-date.

I never said I could say what username was seen providing the past, I said that I could tell the IP addresses. That's all that is needed to find potentially vulnerable customers without the additional chore of scanning random IP.

In any case, I have already recommended that we spend our communication elsewhere. Is not not be able to control how traffic passed to third parties unsecured is a deal breaker for us.

Thank you very much for your answers. My question has been answered and my obviously concerns do not match that of Microsoft, so I end up in a dead end with this service.

  • Why Firefox always tells me that Adobe plug-ins must be updated, when I've just updated beyond the versions them says Firefox update?

On the status of the plug-in page, Firefox said I have potentially vulnerable Adobe Flash player c. 19.0.0.185 and should be updated. I have already taken this opinion but Adobe confirms that my version is 19.0.0.226. I ran the update at least twice (and of course I restarted Firefox several times and refreshed the page for good measure). Why Firefox think I always c. 19.0.0.185?

Essentially the same story with Adobe Reader plug-in 15.9.20069.28170. Firefox said I have this outdated version and should be updated. I ran the update at least twice (but unlike with Flash Player I don't know how to confirm that the update is installed). The version that Firefox says I have and advice to update, has not changed.

I've updated two plug-ins yesterday. Immediately after the update, when I refreshed the page status of the plugin, these plug-ins have disappeared from lists "vulnerable" or "outdated". It's only the Adobe Flash Player and Reader plug-in updates (which I did yesterday) that Firefox seems to blind. I waited a day to see if Firefox would recognize the edits today, but it still does not work. On this page of presentation of the question, "Assumptions" of Firefox on my current browser list older versions of Adobe Flash Player and Reader that I've already updated since.

Plugins are installed on the system and not in Firefox. So he can tell you were the same when you installed know that it is usually because you have two system installed an older version of Flash Player.

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Maybe try to uninstall all versions of Flash Player (basic plugin) and install the current https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (basic plugin), while Firefox is closed.

  • Adware/malware pop up

Have a Mac Book Pro 13 ", middle of YEAR 2010-2, 4 GHz Intel Core Duo processor - surfing the Internet, received a popup UNEXPECTED/GENERIC-to the RESEARCH (which took over the entire screen) indicating to contact APPLE 1 - 877 - SUPPORT? -???? (don't remember the number) due to adware or malware that infect my book mac pro and DO NOT disable the system?

I did follow the instructions!  As soon as SAFARI closed, entered into HISTORY - erased from history and proceeded to shut down the system.  Wait 1 minute and restarted the Mac. Went back into the history to make sure that the whole story is allowed, and it was.

Is it standard practice for APPLE publish information like this when the system is compromised?  OR... a potential problem of piracy?  HELP please.

Apple does not post information like this.

    It's a scam

It is a supplement that says you have an infected computer

    and you do not

You could say that you need more calcium in your diet, or more bacon,

but this is just a supplement trying to frighten and mislead you.

If you have not downloaded anything, you can restart Safari with the SHIFT key to erase any residual garbage which may not be there but only for peace of mind.

  • I need firefox 27 or 30, but can't find it on mozilla. My norton antivirus is not some of the other websites, because it might be maleware

I need to access a site that takes only supported firefox 27 or 30 and Mozilla automatically by default 37.
where can I get a download on Mozilla?

    You have not said why?

Since you are using Windows the easy way much more safe to use an older vulnerable version if you must say a site is to use a portable version of Firefox. The portable Firefox is autonomous and can even be run a usb flash drive. He did not share the profile settings you use Firefox 37.0.1.

Otherwise if you want so say 30.0 and 37.0.1 you would need to have the file separate installs and separate profiles for each. It would not be a good idea to serve as a main browser of 30.0 or 27.0 because you'd be potentially vulnerable to the exploits that has since been corrected.

Here's the file to Firefox portable, 30.0 and the English locale (en-US) are near the bottom of the list in
    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/PortableApps/files/Mozilla%20firefox%2c%20Portable%20Ed./Mozilla%20firefox%2c%20Portable%20Edition%2030.0/

It is not an official version, however the portable Firefox for Windows has been approved for several years now so it is safe.

  • Impossible to update plugins, because the "State of the plugin" page links to plain text

  • Firefox will always be a way course surf the web using a Windows XP computer after that leaves Microsoft support Windows XP?

Windows XP is still my favorite operating system, but Microsoft will give up support in the coming days. If I understand correctly, shortly after which using Windows Internet Explorer to surf the web on a computer running Windows XP (or can) make the computer vulnerable to piracy. It will be the same for the use of Mozilla Firefox on a computer that is running Windows XP?
I think I saw an ad for Google Chrome with that they would continue to support the browser for use on a Windows XP computer. I think that Google said they would keep releasing patches to secure the Chrome. Can anyone confirm that and more importantly, is Mozilla Firefox secure? Also, should I uninstall Internet Explorer on my Windows XP computer when leaving Microsoft support?

Note - I am posting this with a newer computer that works under Windows 7 64-bit.

Firefox will continue to work with Windows XP. At best, in the near future, I could see the required configuration to encountered to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (obligation is SP2 for now). Security in Firefox patches are the same, regardless of the version of Windows you are using.

Keep in mind that without security updates, the operating system itself will be precarious. What browser and software security that you use will not change.

Internet Explorer is a component of the system, and you should not attempt to remove it in Windows Vista and lower. From Windows 7, there's a way of kind of uninstall from the control panel.

  • Firefox said JAVA is exceeded, the JAVA website says it's well?

I currently have Java Platform SE 7 U9 / 10.9.2.5 and Java Deployment Toolkit / 7.0.70.10 / 10.7.2.10 installed and works very well on my Win XP SP3 machine running FF 17.0.1.

When I run a check of modules, he said that the two are outdated and potentially vulnerable. When I go to the Java website, it says I have the latest version, and when I download and try to install, it says that I already have this software installed.

How can I get FF to stop giving me false warnings about obsolete Java. Since FF v13, this has been a problem with various modules, false alarms, and the deletion of the unnecessary dll files need. Suggestions? Thank you.

Problem solved. See this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/944191

To find the link for the Java Platform 7_10, download and install it, then FF disables Java (says its outdated) and returns you to re - install Java Deployment Toolkit 7_09. Following THIS and a few reboots, everything looks OK. Averages just an another skin of the pain-in-the-stick, to make what should be a simple update procedure.

Suggested HP support I have just uninstall and install software downloaded from their site (PS_AIO_04_C4500_USW_Full_Win_enu_120_210.exe). This indeed solve, and another problem I had (see network & Wireless forum), but this download is missing the software package I.R.I.S. OCR, presumably for reasons associated with 3 rd-party lisensing. HP support insisted that this download was the OCR, but the OCR .exe is certainly missing. Workaround needed to go back and re - install the CD software, then uninstall everything except the OCR package (you can do), then install the downloaded version. My PC still takes too long to start, but it's probably the combined effect of each software package, I never installed wanting home phone so that it loads.

  • T420s pci serial port

I get the Device Manager error message, stating that "pci serial port" is not installed. I have lenovo thinkpad T420S and 8.1 64-bit windows. I did my best to read every post here, but no permits. "When can test in 'Properties' of the pilot whice is not installed, it says:"

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

    There is no compatible driver for this device. ». When getting into "details-> device instance path" is States: "PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_1C3D & SUBSYS_21D217AA & REV_04\3 & 21436425 & 0 & B3. Appreciate help. Thank you.

    It should be the chipset.

It is the engine management Intel something or other. If you do not ME, maybe disable it as well at the BIOS level. A less a potential vulnerability if you do.

  • Vista - Error Code: 800F082F (could not install KB974571)

Strangely, this update is indicated as having been installed successfully on 19/06/2010.

However, he was offered again on 09/07/2010 but cannot install.

Patches installed search doesn't find it, and it's much too tedious to visually search among hundreds of patches.

After reviewing the below, I find that these files are present in C:\Windows\winsxs\, as shown in the files Section of MS09-056, below the text:

The English (United States) version of this software update installs files with the attributes listed in the following tables.
