A sender know when I open an email?

I have Thunderbird set in place to put spam in the spam folder, but sometimes she puts a wanted in spam email, so I always have to check in your spam folder. I recently started having an absolute avalanche (at least a dozen per day) of spam especially obscene advertising how can I get any young girl asked whether she likes it or not. I'm at 80 and rather past this kind of high jinks! They come from a wide variety of shippers (or I suspect a sender but a variety of addresses), it is difficult to block senders. My first question is: if I open them to remove them, the sender knows I have open and uses this information to send more, or is there no such comments? I know that I can delete them one by one without opening by right clicking and selecting delete, or I can select them all and press DELETE, but then I opened at all. I can't disable the message pane because in the version 31.2.0 in 'view' there is no ' layout > the message pane. So if the answer to my first question is "Yes," How can we delete a block of messages without opening them?

If they are clever enough, they can use what is called a Web beacon. usually an invisible 1 pixel image. The Act of you look at a message asking for the image to download from a server, and they can follow this download happening.

There are two simple ways to thwart.

  1. View your messages in plain text. That means that thunderbird doesn't look that the text portion of the message, don't know the graphic content and avoids the download request.
  2. Read your email offline. Thunderbird will try to recover the graphic content, but the lack of a link will cause its failure.

In both cases, you have to take care to neutralize the message, so there is not a chance to do his thing house phone. So delete, or disinfect it if you really want or need to keep.

There are e-mail providers who claim to be able to track the delivery and reading, but they generally use stuff like these, or the scripts that run when the message is considered (but Thunderbird run scripts). Again, read these messages in offline mode is usually effective to defeat monitoring.

In short, a normal email user cannot follow your reading. To run a Web server to use a Web beacon, or he needs to have a service delivery and shipment.
