A single hyperlink without link convert Word doc

Hello

I forgot to mention in my title, I use RoboHelp 2015 and publication of WebHelp.

I have a project where my first topic provides a list of the tasks that can be performed from the main screen. I create WebHelp and Word to convert to pdf format. When I convert the RoboHelp project to the printed Document, there is an article on a bulleted list that does not convert to a hyperlink element in the Word doc. The other 15 elements convert. The WebHelp project works very well.

I deleted the topic to the table of contents and replaced it; I made sure the links work and connect to the correct subjects. I tested the links in the HR project and they work fine. As I say, all others 15 links work very well in HR and in Word.

Any suggestions on what I should look for?

Thank you

MDawn

The version of RoboHelp and your output at the beginning of the post, rather than in the title is fine. In fact, preferred.

Is it a project that you can share? See the Contact page on my site and send the project, in accordance with the instructions, it. Make sure that include you a link to this topic and please send an e-mail not directly project.

If this isn't the case, then the list pointing to other topics which are all in the same project and is the subject of the list point to the printed output? The fact that it is in the webhelp does not automatically mean that it is in the printed output.

  • Convert Word Doc-rich text file

Scanned document using the ABBYYOCR program, which saves the file in rich text. I need to get it in Word doc format. Does anyone know how to do this. I managed, but it took 20 steps to do this, which means that it is faster to retype the document.

    Thank you very much

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

    Follow these steps:

    (a) run Microsoft Word.

    (b) open the RTF (Rich Text File) document in word.

    (c) click on the "File" menu

    (d) choose "save under" and make sure "Word Document" is selected in the box "save under".

    (e) enter the name of the file you want or leave as is. This will keep the name of the RTF document, but convert to Word format.

    (f) click "Save".

  • Convert Word doc to PDF - problem with section breaks

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro (constant rejection of 2015) on my Macbook Pro (OS Yosemite 10.10.5) and I use Word for Mac 2011. I write a lot of long documents and often insert section breaks if I can change the orientation of the page from portrait to landscape and back, etc... When I convert Word documents to a part of the PDF document is PDF - ed up to first page redirecting.  He drives me crazy because in order for the entire document to convert, I break up of my word document in separate documents according to portrait or landscape mode and then convert each into a PDF file separately and combine them and then at the end.  It causes no end of trouble with numbers of page and headers, and feet.

    This happened to someone else?

    Does anyone have a solution?

I would be grateful for any help.  I'm about to write another very long report containing pages of different orientation, and I'd rather be able to PDF in a go.  Thank you.

    Hi wendym79499885,

In Word, open the file you want to create a PDF file, click file > print and select Adobe PDF as the printer.

Click Properties in the print dialog box make sure you have the selections you want.

Back on the Print Setup dialog box, leave the paper and Orientation as a letter and Portrait respectively.

In the print dialog box, select print to file and navigate to the correct location. Be sure to save as a PostScript (name.ps) file and the safe field book both, you want only selected file.

Once again on the print dialogue box book, click on the checkbox to generate data Adobe and click Configuration of PDF. On the PDF configuration for the selected files dialog box, PDF job options, select print quality or make the choice for your situation for settings, Favorites, Tags, and links.

With Adobe Distiller open, file > open and find the .ps file you previously reported. Also check that your default settings for the PDF file are correct. When the Distiller is finished, you can double-click the PDF to open it and check your landscape and portrait pages display correctly.

I would like to know if it works for you.

  • small images to link the Word doc not no projection in RH8 Webhelp

I use RH8 and linking Word Documents.  Will generate as WebHelp.  All the images are pasted into word using Snagit documents.  The images are variable in size and must be in this way.  It seems that RH8 any larger images such as display and .jpg files fine but converts the smaller .png files and they are not displayed.  Only a box appears saying that the image file is missing for the smaller .png files. The biggest .jpg files display fine.  Why they come as different types?    Does anyone know of a work around to fix this?  Looking for the forum for an answer I found a script that will make images of unique size.  Is there a setting in Word or RH8 that should be adjusted?  Thank you for your help.

See extract of 125 on my site.

If Word is processing the images differently when you paste, which seems strange, try to insert via the Word menus.

If you open the document in Word and save it as a Web Page...
It will create a separate folder that contains photos.

In Word 2007... go... Office button / Save as / Web Page

  • Open a new window when linking between PDF docs (link originates in a Word doc)

    Hello

I saw this discussed historically general topic, but couldn't find any resolution.  I have a Word doc (let's call it A.doc) linking to a PDF doc (let's call it b.pdf). Once I have convert Word doc to PDF (A.pdf creation), I want the link en.pdf to open b.pdf in a new window.

I've seen a number of suggestions that indicate that I can set up the link in Word to do this, use her change the hyperlink > target frame > frame target > 'new window '.  While this works if I click on the link in Word, it does seem to "reporter" once I converted A.doc to A.pdf.  When I click the link en.pdf then B.pdf opens in the same window in time.

I know how to add manually link in Acrobat.pdf to do this, but I don't want you add manually the link every time I create A.pdf.  I want to create the link once in A.doc and did delay in time, and then open the b.pdf link in a new window.

I've seen suggestions on adding some HTML somewhere.  Unfortunately, they are not, that I'm viewing the PDF files in a browser.

I saw suggestions for using the CTRL key at the same time click on the link en.pdf.  Would not be practical, because I have no way to make sure that my users will know it.

I've seen suggestions on the use of JavaScript, but it would mean (I know) I have to add the JavaScript whenever I convert A.doc A.pdf.  Still, I won't have to do any post-processing of A.pdf after I got it to create.  I want the link in 'just work' A.doc after A.pdf is created, i.e. open b.pdf in a new window.

This * seems * like a simple thing to do, I hope there is a simple solution.

BTW, I'm using Word 2007 and Acrobat X.

    Thanks for your help!

    Dave

I use Word 2003 and Acrobat 10 and links created as you describe defaults to 'new window '.

You have the 'Open links in the same interdocument window' unchecked in Edit > Preferences > Documents?

.. sounds too easy... (and your users will probably have to make the change even if they need this behavior, unless you have a very techno IT department that can deploy configuration files large company).

  • convert word to pdf with hyperlinks doc

have created a document in microsoft word on a mac and saved as a pdf.

the links do not work when I open the pdf file. the links work in the word doc.

    does anyone have a solution?

    Thank you

How do you save the PDF file of the word? What app shows the PDF?

' File > save as... "choose the PDF format. This method keeps links when the PDF file is displayed in the preview. It is in an earlier version of Word (v 12.3.6).

You may be ' file > duplicate ' & then save the file in PDF format in the new version of Word, or try holding alt (alias 'option') on the file menu, an option "save under...". "may appear.

Please can you help me ask the refund of my purchase of the PDF package? (order No.. AD015935750). I've been going in circles for months, literally, to cancel my subscription. But my account has not converted correctly, so I tried to cancel but just keep in curls, so I responded to an email asking to cancel the subscription of 3-25, which was within 30 days. I do not have a "kick back", so I assumed that the email has passed through. I was check my account for the refund and he was never treated so I looked at my mailbox and to see that I had a bounce email, specifying that the email does not, but the rejection was delayed while I haven't noticed.
