A VI with two stop buttons

I have a single VI which shows the two stop on the front panel buttons. My scheme is quite simple with 2 while loops and the other for loop. Whence the second stop button? Why is the second button here? How can I remove the second stop button?

Brijesh says:

Hello

When you put two while loop. Stop button automatically two will come.

Not always true. It all depends on what part of the palette that you select while a loop from. I can't, however, don't forget the name of the part of the pallet where it automatically to the stop button. There are also better ways to stop the parallel loops as the queues or the authors of the notifications if you have more than 2. Or, the action engines (I always throw this to save Ben from having to post!)

  • end of time delay with stop button

    I am creating a stop button to control several vi at the same time. One problem is that my Subvi has a period of time. To resolve this problem, the time limit is divided into several times so that I can interrupt it with a stop button. I build out example of Al S on the forums found here. I tried to add a global variable, but it does not work.

    Any ideas? Thank you

    I highly recommend that you take some time and learn how to use the authors of notifications. They are not so difficult to use, and they are far superior to global variables. Dependence on the variables local and global is a good way to end up running in race conditions in your code. Much better usage of the buildings (the declarant for example) which are intended for other parts of your program message.

  • Programming of a conditional FOR the timing of the STOP button on the loops

    I have a conditional FOR loop with a STOP button, however, the nature of LabVIEW data flow, the stop button is now being questioned at some point before the end of the loop. A control not having no entry, I can't connect to the last operation of a single iteration of the loop to trigger the vote on the STOP command, and I prefer not to use a flat sequence just for the power button if I can avoid it. I've considered using a structure of the event, but I don't want to force the loop to wait that the stop button to be pressed, I want just the loop to EXIT, * IF * the stop button is pressed... but I want the stop button to be questioned at the end of the loop, so if the user presses the button stop at any time in the loop , at the end of the iteration, the loop will end... that makes sense? At present, given that the stop button is called once at some arbitrary during the iteration of the loop time, if the user presses the stop button after he is questioned, the loop must run an extra iteration, and I don't want that to happen.

    ... in any case, I guess I'm looking for a more elegant way to implement that having to use a flat sequence just for the stop button.

    Sorry, but you'll have to use a sequence structure.  This is why they are there.  Sometimes they have their purposes.  Here is how I would handle it.

  • VI does not not at the Stop button

    Hello! I have some difficulty to stop my VI with my stop button on the front panel.  I thought I had wired my stop button on 'any VI' to all possible while loop, but when I press the button the VI continued as if nothing had changed.  I realize the VI is a little big, but if anyone has a spare moment and could look over it, I would REALLY appreciate it.  It is attached.  I just need to know why my 'Quit Program' button (on the far left of the VI) does not stop the program.  Thanks for the help.

    Matt

    Your terminal stop button is outside the loop and thus get reads only once at the beginning of the program. The terminal should be located in the innermost loop, so it is read at each iteration. (use a local variable if necessary).

  • Lost the STOP button with upgrade for FF9

    I can not get the STOP button on the Navigation toolbar since I upgraded to FF9. Where at - it go?

    He was a combined button by default at the end of the bar of address for awhile now.

    Loading a page it's a stop button, because that's when you can stop it, and once it is loaded it becomes a button reload, because you can then reload the page.

    It can be customized by dragging the end of the address bar and to reverse the order buttons, you then get to see two separate buttons:

  • Is it possible to connect my Application ' Stop' button with the "Run" button of LabVIEW?

    Problem - one of my clients recently tested my new LabVIEW application and asked how the arrested LabVIEW application can be restarted without clicking on the "Run" (right arrow) button.

    Is possible solution - possible to connect my Application ' Stop' button with the "Run" button of LabVIEW?

    Thank you!

    The big problem is in your Acquistion to stop audio event. You run the LabVIEW stop sign which is the equivalent of hitting the Cancel button in the toolbar.  (See contextual help on that).  You can stop the acquisition, but you don't want to stop your LabVIEW program.  You need this case in the event your computer to transition state in a sleep mode when you do not make any purchase.  Then hit the purchase button to start again transitions the machine state in the acquisition.

    In your case of program output, you want really to leave LabVIEW it.  You want to run and stop commands like closing the com port and one of these activeX references.  Then allow it to stop the while loop.  Turn the LabVIEW out outside the loop so that once everything is cleaned, your application may close.  You probably want to wrap this command in a case structure so that if you are in the execution environment, it leaves your application.  But if you are in the development environment, you don't want to cause your LabVIEW environment stop.  Another thing is that right now, you actually have a race condition in the Exit event.  The com port will close first or LabVIEW will come out.  There is no defined order of execution.

    Alternatively, you can have an event to close panel? in this way, you haven't accidentally short circuit all your program by pressing the X key.  You want to capture this event, discard it.  And if you want to not actually closed, did trigger the Exit Program button so that you can gracefully shutdown.

    Is it possible to play or pause a video by clicking on the video itself than with a set of the command bar and stop buttons? If Yes, how can we do?

    When you set the video object, just add a listener for events such as:

    myVideo.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, toggleVideoPlayback);

    private void toggleVideoPlayback(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    If play, pause

    If in pause, play

    }

  • can perform us two actions with a single button in two clicks, one after the other?

    Mr President.

    can perform us two actions with a single button in two clicks, one after the other?

    I want that when I click on the button Add once it add data to the database and when I click again on this button it clears the form data to the empty fields.

    Concerning

    Tanvir

    In the code, it should be easy.

    The following code adds that a button called butman with text 'ADD '.
    It then registers a listener that will be called if the user clicks the button.

    This listener then calls the runAddData method if you clicked butman while it contained the text of "ADD" and it calls the runClearData method otherwise.
    That's why he will swap the functionality of the button between ADD and CLEAR on each click.

    final Button butman = new Button("ADD");
    butman.setOnAction(new EventHandler() {
              @Override
              public void handle(ActionEvent t) {
                        if (butman.getText().equals("ADD")) {
                                  butman.setText("CLEAR");
                                  runAddData();
                        } else {
                                  butman.setText("ADD");
                                  runClearData();
                        } // END IF-THEN
              }});

    I hope that's what you wanted.

    Further reflection.
    You might want to run the ADD and CLEAR methods in their own son so that it can run in the background without slowing down your user interface.

    I also reuse rather a single button for several features instead of to apply with hundreds of nodes used only rarely with masses of code to show and hide as needed.

  • Two actions with a single button Oracle adf

    Hello
    Dear all,
    I want two action with a single button. Before posting, I studied this thread, but it seems that it cannot solve my problem two actions with a single button?
    It's my button and its action http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tpP5wIW8JLI/T66zhLZgG0I/AAAAAAAAAPY/F1A-Ka8KGPY/s1600/req1.JPG
    getReqID button is actually a call to a procedure that returns a value to his class of action. The cb1_action function is...
    public String cb1_action() {}
    BindingContainer links = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("getReqID");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute ();
    int id = Integer.parseInt (result.toString ());
    System.out.println ("result =" + id);
    If (! operationBinding.getErrors () .isEmpty ()) {}
    Returns a null value.
    }
    Returns a null value.
    }
    It works very well. Don't know I want to, click this button, it also opens a page of .jsff. but I'm unable to open this page.

    The first image you provided shows a small 'Attention' sign on the "request for quote-global-TF" which, I guess, gives you the sentence.
    This warning tells you that there is a problem with the task flow that you imported from the pot. Move the mouse over the warning sign a see what message you get from the frame on the error. If you don't get one, in 'source' view and look for red or orange squares in the gutter of the right hand. Scroll to the position of the red square and move the mouse over the underlined part red or orange of the code.

  • How can I associate a button with two slices?

    Hello
    I need help please. How can I associate a button with two slices? or combine the two slices to make one cut or make a form of true polygon on the edges, it will make to the polygon, but it leaves the red lines and I cannot work under this installment... If you understand. Someone help please. Thank you very much.

    Two points.

    First of all, I see that you have forms stars in your image, but that does not mean that you need a star-shaped slice. You can use a little square that is centered on your star. That could make it easier to create your slices. All you have to do is drag lines of leaders in the left seat and superior, two pairs around each star and then drag a slice from one end to the other.

    Noting that brings me to my second point: images must be rectangular. If you want to change the L-shaped area, then you need to swap two images, not one only. This is perhaps why you cannot have the buttons under the threshold of upper sliding of your L shaped section. Because Fireworks needs to make a rectangular image, it is by default in an area that encompasses the range - area you can not the buttons in. It is the lock area non cut which still need to be part of the image, since the part will swap, too.
