• Why can't I receive emails in Thunderbird on my new Macbook Pro, but can send OK? All the account in Mozilla Thunderbird's settings are correct.

  I created an account in Mail, which now works, and Mozilla Thunderbird. The settings are correct, but Tbird doesn't e-mail, even if it sends OK. I run iMac, MacBook and just bought MacBook Pro OS X 10.9.2. All other computers work fine. I want to rule out all other computers and to use my new, but at this rate I can't move as I had hoped. I like Thunderbird and want to continue using it.

  I spent hours with Apple chats a whole bunch of questions and especially to fix them, but this one. I searched online conversations, support Mozilla, but have found no answer. I hope someone can help without using the technical language.

• Bootcamp 6.0.1 does not move

  I have a MacBook Pro 15 beginning 2011 with Bootcamp running as well as a whole bunch of questions. I have an iso Windows 8.1 on-site as well with the installation disc in my files. I have the iso burned on a dvd as well and used disk utility to do. When I install windows need me the iso and installation mounted disk or just one of them? Guard mounting, installation disk but it does nothing. My iso is not recognized by Bootcamp either, the only thing that was installed is the software of Windows security for pilots. I'm losing my mind and really need help.

  Different ages of Mac Boot Camp do differently. The newer models can use a USB key to boot from and install Windows, and in this case the Boot Camp Assistant will offer you the opportunity to make a boot USB from an ISO image file drive.

  Old Macs won't boot from USB to install Windows and instead, you will need to use a DVD. For example, I think that the Mac Pro Classic (2008-2012) falls into this category. The MacBook Pro 2011 has a built-in DVD player, so I suspect that it is also this category. In this case, you need to have the inserted DVD and use the Boot Camp Assistant to partition the disk and create a USB key containing just the Apple's Boot Camp drivers (Windows). Wizard Boot Camp would then define the DVD in the "Boot" drive

• EgisTec fingerprint fingerprints appearing does not in the Lenovo Security Suite?

  So I bought a computer shape better buy a lenovo b575 and she felt some buggy issues so I decided to reformat and install windows 7 x 64 ultimate. During installation I downloaded all the necessary drivers for the reader of fingerprints, as well as lenovo security suite. Now when I run the security suite it only gives me options for the fingerprint reader either. Device Manager shows the drive f active and up to date...

  I just made a new account and reinstall everything and the Lenovo SS under this new account and maybe I'll get a chance, but everybody ran into problems with this? best buy gave me recovery discs, but I don't trust anything best buy is like the computer, they gave me came with a whole bunch of questions because it was something in the Open box, but I came back to the condition of the plant and wiped everytihng to a factory State, but I can't the fingerprint reader appears in the security suite.

• Cannot highlight specific things in the tables with the new Dreamweaver CC

  I am an interactive designer, so I code and design for my business emails. DIVS not being able to be used in emails (too many browser incompatibility), our emails are coded with tables (unfortunately).

  That being said, in CS6, whenever I chose something in the view design, Dreamweaver would immediately highlight what I chose. Thus, for example, the image of 'Hero' in the email - I would click on it and the URL of the image would be highlighted. Even for text, links, whatever it is. Works great, saved a lot of time.

  My colleagues and I, after having had a top of shit same installation of CC in the first place, the questions can now no longer for it. When I select this image of heroes in Design view, Dreamweaver highlights the entire table it is in, or something other completely irrelevant, rather than the link of the image. We must now seek in our code to find the URL, or whatever it is we seek to change, which is extremely time consuming and opens up a whole bunch of questions QA. We notice with DIVs, highlighted this function works fine, but as we mainly work with tables it is very frustrating.

  Nothing has changed in DW with regard to selecting something in Design view and have it select in Code view, but your explanation of what is happening gave me a thought...

  Are you sure that you are actually in design mode?

  CBWMS 20141 has done some strange Design/Code/Split/Live preferences. It is possible that you change actually in Live View (you will see light blue contours around the selected items), who does not like the Design view and highlight the bad code in a very similar way to way to what you describe.

  Make sure that the drawing is selected in the drop-down menu next to Split in your toolbar of the Document.

• What parts of my drive of economy/budget implemented need attention?

  Question: should which parts of my set-up by car I be concerned? Or should I worry? I'm not having problems right now, but I'm trying to predict the future upgrades when they are needed. Now that I have more editing experience, I see how much it is important to adapt my system to match the images that I'll need to work with, a concern that I didn't have when I started to learn how to edit, mainly because I didn't know any better.

  I have an entry-level system, four discs and I change only in CS5 right now, with a bit of PS and AE when necessary. 95% of my time is spent in the first.

  Here are my readers:

  1. Start - 150 GB Velociraptor - contains the operating system and the swap file
  2. Media - 2 x 1 TB drives WD Black with a Jmicron RAID in AID0 card - holds all sequences to be cut and all photos
  3. Swap - 64 GB SSD (Patriot PS-100) - holds previews, media Cache and media Cache only, nothing else
  4. Storage - WD Blue 500 GB, holds all the music and VO, so what makes final SOUL and all my creative project files

  Backups: The storage disk is saved daily on a 500 GB internal Seagate Barracuda and media player is saved daily on a 1.5 to external Seagate Barracuda. I hate losing data. I killed so many readers over the years, that I could probably build a wall of them...

  I am, of course, in the field of the economy/budget with regard to my set up. I know I have to go to 16 GB of RAM - that needs to be done before the end of the year. I know I will also need to update my video card, but I have to say that the 465 has been really good for me so far, I was very happy with it.

  Specifically, I wonder about my SSD - it is already endangered, reading speeds are always very good, but the writing speed is much, much, about 18 MB/sec when it allows to write to more than 100 MB / s. But, I do not fear that I can replace that pretty easily, I'm not sure if I have to replace it when it finally dies. I don't really like SSD more, I thought they were big when they first came out, but now that I've learned more about NAND memory and its limitation on writing, I am not so excited. I don't know what to replace by when he died, but I think another velociraptor because I am very satisfied with this drive, and I like WD generally compared to other hard drive manufacturers.

  I also wonder on my drive which is in AID0 - it is fast enough for images I work with now, which is 99% of AVI files in 1280 x 720 with bitrates of 25 MB/s or less. But if I climbed to other types of images, I wonder when I will start to have problems of friction autour, etc... I work at half the resolution if I must, but I'd rather modify if possible at full resolution. I had initially started on a media disk drive and it doesn't work at all with HD images, it was a nightmare until I went to a stripped volume.

  Until I move to the other sequences with increase rates, or multi-cam images, I think that my Media AID0 player is sufficient. But I do not know...

  Just wondering about cost-effective ways to upgrade my readers in the next 6 to 12 months and are looking for ways to get the best performance from my readers and their whole upward. I like to be effective...

  In this well written post make you a whole bunch of questions, so I'll try to spend a little more.

  At least your source material is especially 1280 x 720, a wrapper and AVI to 25 Mbps data rate. I don't know what codec is in this envelope, but I'm guessing that AVCHD or something in that sense. The first thing to realize is that when lowest data rates, there is more of compression and therefore more load on the CPU, but when rates increase, then it is up to the central unit (decompression is easier with higher data rates) but requires more bandwidth to disk configuration.

  Yesterday I was testing HDV, 25 Mbps and Canon MXF 422, 50 Mbit/s material. You know that even if the differences were very small, the higher data rate material gun was easier to modify and marginally faster than HDV. The message is that it is often better to have material of high data rate.

  With that road, we will study your material. First of all, the GTX 465 OC is a video card perfectly fine if you have applied the 'hack' and even if you were to exchange it for say a GTX 660 Ti, which is faster, longer cold and can drive multiple monitors, it seems like a waste of money, because the difference in performance is marginal at best. Your video card is blocked by the CPU and memory limited, IMO has 660 Ti GTX is complete overkill.

  Your current configuration of the drive is very good for an economic/budget system. When the Patriot dies and needs to be replaced, you can get an another Velociraptor, but you might also consider a Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 or another WD Caviar Black. If you plan from multicamera editing, media cache will grow a little and then either the rate of filling on a small Velociraptor can become a bottleneck or a more Velociraptor, is far more expensive than the two alternatives.

  Of course the system would greatly benefit from more memory, especially during the start-up of multicam, but is - this wise? It requires new sticks and your system is still being held by the CPU dual core. I think when you start the multicam and more complex projects, it is time for a new motherboard and CPU. Your investment in disks can be done to the new system, it is possible that your video card, but investing in the new memory now requires that you have already considered what kind of motherboard you can get in the future, so that at least you are certain that this investment can also be put to the new system.

  In this perspective, to ensure that any disc you will get, it's a SATA 6 G drive, even if your card mother current does noy advantage of it yet, will be your new motherboard.

  For a new processor, the minimum that I would consider is the i5 - 3570K, which is a quad core, but not better HT., but also more expensive is the i7 - 3770K which HT. So all what you need to consider is what card mother socket 1155 could meet your needs and what memory is approved by this Council. If this same memory is also compatible with your current motherboard, then you will know that you can transfer this investment to the new system as well.

  I need to make the small mobile icons so that a person can drag their units in another area. I know how to do this, the trick is to make sure that they stay like that and not reset when the person leaves.

  Also, I need to be able to add more icons without losing the posistion of those currently on the Board of Directors.

  I mean, I have icons that have been moved to a different color, maybe in gray.

  This all sounds really simple in flash, but my skills are not enough for the moment.

  There is nothing really simple, what you want, especially as soon as you enter the game you want to things to do not reset when people leave.  Who needs to remember things, which requires the establishment of a database or other means to create, save, and update the data.  Your file should be dependent on this database for both put up the initial conditions and then adjust the database when changes are made.  And if you have several people potentially use it at the same time, a whole bunch of questions will probably emerge.

  So if you are ready to go up on a steep learning curve, your best bet is to get parts and interactions defined in details demanding and the Google search for "AS2 PHP MySQL tutorial".

It does not recognize that it has highlighted a whole bunch of words because it does not give me the option of removing the nail in excess. Is there a way to stop this?

  It is a simple question, which does not post all my syntax. Shouldn't can't COUNT () always, always, always return a zero when there is no line? I made a very simple query and it should be zero, instead, I just head of column and nothing, no "null", not zero, just nothing.   When you do a GROUP BY, you get a line of output for each group. If no line meets all the conditions in the WHERE clause, then you might expect 0 rows of output. In this case, SQL * Plus (at least) won't print the headers, it will just say 'no rows selected '. You said "I have just the head of column and nothing, no"null", not zero, just nothing". Are you use some frontends that always displays the column headers, even if no line is detected?

  If the idea is that the WHERE clause can eliminate a whole bunch, but you still want to see table1.my_field for this group, then you should do an outer join.
  If you need help, post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for some examples of data (both tables should illustrate the problem), or ask a question using available tables, such as those of the SCOTT schema fluently).

  Oracle 10g Express Edition will give you at least 1 year of learning. If you are really able to SQL and PL/SQL Express, you are longer than many so-called Oracle professionals.

  Unfortunately, I see that SQL and PL/SQL to be lost in the hype Java and .net. More and more developers and applications forget the basics of database.

  A good developer knows his tool. A good database developer Oracle SQL doesn't understand.

  A great developer Oracle includes the internal implications of the database, but also a DBA. Both (but rarely) should work closely together.

  For example, a great developer understands that you do not commit in a loop. The 'why' of it is often seen by developers as "something DBA.
