• Uncaught exception when you are not debugging

  I have an application that analyzes XML and uses threads to display a progress bar while it analyzes the data. It works without a hitch, when the unit runs in debug mode on a simulator, but when I select run as... and select a simulator during the analysis, the application closes with error

  There are no exceptions when debugging, and without breaks. How am I to determine and correct the cause of the error? Anyone know what this could be?

  OK the theory number two, this one seems more likely given the stack trace.

  You update the screen using invokeLater?  How often do you do that.

  If you do this frequently, then treatment to generate updates may in fact take less time than processing for updating the screen.  In this case, you are invading the event queue.  This will be acknowledged by the Dispatcher that assumes that you have blocked the thread of events.  Where, as in fact the problem is that the thread of events cannot process quickly enough.

  Can you make sure there is at least 0.1 seconds between your ' of invokeLater?  You can also use "invokeAndWait", or synchronize the lock of the event.  However I do not think that you need to update the screen as frequently, so I woould go with some sort of delay between updates, then use the lock of the event because it is the most effective (and does not imply the queue of flooding).

  Different combinations give different errors, but none work.

  I can load ipa to the device using iTunes, but does not connect compilation of debug debugger on usb.

  Will also load Simulator but as app for Retina display I don't see entire application on the screen (but that's another problem-_-)

  This problem seems to have been around for a few years with each new Air/iTunes combo.

  Does anyone have a current solution?

  So I have an AIR application that exists for quite some time, dating back to Flex Builder 3 and 2.x air...

  Now I'm getting "Unable to resolve version language MXML. Please specify the namespace of the document root tag language. "Can't find anything on this on Google - well, nothing of what works in any case...  Found someone suggesting I add the fx: namespace, so I did:xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"

  But when I add this namespace, I get "could not resolve a < mx:Script > to an implementation of the component.

  WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?  I want my debugging AIR application just as I used to in Flash Builder 4.6.  Help!

  Hey guys, I'm a newbie at software development and don't know anything about the other languages except HTML and CSS so I decided to try the apps program to see how it works and if it's the right think for me. I received my 'key' for the playbook and generated and download the Debug Token. My first idea was to put the Hello World app (that I copied on the BB site) on my playbook to see if everything works, but every time I try to download the app, I get "the application failure 881 author does not debug author token.

  I have tried a few troubleshooting myself (make another Debug Token, adding the and a blackbery - tablet.xml with these fields in the config.xml file and) and still nothing. Do you know the guy what is happening and what should I do to solve this problem, so I can download my apps on my playbook?

  I have several machines with falcon view installed.  Admin can use the software without problem on all machines.  Any common user, access to one of the machines get this error.  They are expected to use the local drive for the card data, but there is a space of common storage for other maps... • Eclipse plugin not walk when not step over after the breakpoint

  I run my application in the Eclipse debugger and hit a breakpoint. When I hit F5 or F6 to step over to rush in (doesn't really count) breakpoints are not executed. Sometimes I can hit ctrl-R to run a line. Code works fine when you are not debugging, or if I tap F8 CV with breakpoints, disabled or deleted. I'm under Eclipse 3.4 BB JDE plugin 1.0.0.67 and the component Pack 4.5.0.16. I can interrupt threads, see the stack traces, inspect the variables and all that stuff. My problem is that I can't get into or step over after hitting the first breakpoint.

  I have only one project in my workspace. I ran clean.bat. I'm manually switch to the Debug perspective to launch the debugger.

  Ran the app with only the main message enabled (base HellowWorld app) loop and the problems remain.

  Recreated the project in JDE 4.7 and everything works great.

• Changed computers and now they do not compile with ActionScript

  I recently switched computers (from one with XP for a 8/10) and installed Flash CS5 on the new, the same as the old man had, and I'm running in "You can not debug the SWF because it does contain not ActionScript."   When connecting my DROID to my laptop using Windows 7 operating system.  The phone wasn't all that very well... seemed to lock up and not to react.  When I unchecked the DEBUG USB box, it seemed to work perfectly.  What is the USB DEBUGGING, and what that means?

  It is intended for developers and is used to anything if you are not debugging software on the phone.  It can (as you see) interfere with the phone because it adds commands to USB for USB and a few other USB driver can cause a problem.

  With the exception of 'Always On', I strongly recommend against creating one of these options.  always on will slow down the time it takes to charge the droid but keep the screen on when connected to the charger.   If you choose that, go to the options screen and make sure that the brightness of the screen always is 'Auto '.

  ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified

  This error means one thing and one thing only. The customer couldn't find the entry specified in the tnsnames.ora file being used.

  Following this statement, remember that when you use a dblink, the database that defines the link acts as a client to the database that is the target of the link. So in this case, the tnsnames.ora on the host of your source file must have an entry for your db target, as defined in the db_link.

  And for the umpteenth time... This error has NOTHING to do with the status of a listener. The connection request never got far enough to reach a listener. If someone tells you to check a listener in response to ora-12154, they do not pay attention, or do not understand how works the TNS. This error is equivalent to not be able to place a phone call because you do not know the number of the part you want to reach. You would not debug this situation by going to the home of the other guy and test his phone, or by accessing the phone company and the standard test. And you are debugging an ORA-12154 by checking the listener. If I had a list of ten albums of 'Incredibly Simple Concepts (tm)' which must be burned in the brain of anyone claiming to be an Oracle DBA, it would include "ORA-12154 has nothing to do with the listener.

  Suppose you have the following in your tnsnames.ora:

  Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:

  TNS will appear in your tnsnames.ora for an entry called "larry". Then, tns sends a request to (PORT = 1521) on (HOST = myhost) to aid (PROTOCOL = TCP), requesting a connection to (SERVICE_NAME = curley).

  Where's (HOST = myhost) on the network? When the request is passed to tns to the next layer in the network stack, the name "myhost" resolves to an IP address, either via a file 'hosts' local, through DNS, or possibly other mechanisms being used less. Alternatively, you can hard-code the IP (HOST = 123.456.789.101) in the tnsnames.ora.

  Then, the request arrives at port 1521 myhost. If all goes well, there is a listener on myhost configured to listen on port 1521, and this listener knows SERVICE_NAME = curley. If so, you'll be connected.

  A few important points.

  First, the listener is a process only server-side . It's all in life seeks applications for reception for connections to the databases and set up these connections. In this case, you get "ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified" no need to go looking for a problem on the host, with the listener, etc.. If you cannot place a phone call because you do not know the number (cannot find your phonebook (tnsnames.ora) or can not find the party looking for listed in it (no entry for larry)) you don't look at problems at the switchboard.

  Perhaps the entry for larry was found, but myhost could not be resolved to an IP address (for example there is no entry for myhost in the local hosts file). This will mean by "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist.

  Maybe there is an entry for MyServer in the local hosts file, but it specified a bad IP address. This will mean by "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist.

  Maybe the INVESTIGATION period was good, but there is no listener running: "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener.
