I use Vista Home Premium on a laptop Dell 1545 Inspiron and Dell 968AIO wireless printer. I can't print the attachments of email but I can print several pages on the internet. I updated drivers and tried everything that other people have told me to try on other forums to the best of my abilities. I'm not otherwise qualified in computer science. Also, I will mention this all started when I restored my computer laptop back to factory settings. I did it because that's all I could think about. As far as coming back on my laptop, he did do the trick. Thus, suggestions, thoughts will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Thank you

It is normal so he can make a full discharge of the battery as part of his learning cycle every 90 days. Make sure that this isn't that. If this isn't the case, the reason, give it 24 hours. If it is fully charged, update the system (including RAID firmware, driver first) firmware. If not fully charged yet or it reproduces quickly, then replace the battery - power down to replace.

  • Reference Dell 1545 does not start in the recovery Partition

Could someone start in recovery mode, start command prompt and run the following, bcdedit/enum all and post it? I have a Dell 1545 of friends and I think that the boot manager screwed up b/c it is not booting into recovery. I can boot the Windows 7 operating system, but we need to do a factory restore due to a nasty virus that she. I would be very happy!

Indeed, I do!  I have more than 10 years, began my career in desktop stand, it seems that I learned a few things here and there.  In addition, the information was extremely difficult to find.

Want to restore your original image, but cannot start in recovery mode?  Well here you go!

    1. download and burn this image WINPE bootable with imagex included ( www.dropbox.com/.../winpe_x86.iso )

2 follow the instructions below, thanks to this link and murthy511 to view it: en.community.dell.com/.../19331267.aspx

Boot the system using the same disk and follow the steps

    1. check drive C: is the recovery by the practice in dir C: partition and type

    2. If the recovery partition (most likely, it will be), go to D: and check it is the OS partition

    3. it is the recovery partition (most likely, it will be), go to E: (DVD player)

    4. the format of the D: drive and

    5 type

    ImageX/apply c:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 d:

    6. wait up to 100% (for me it took 6.32 minutes)

    7. Type exit

And its really as simple as that!

  • audio interruptions every 30 seconds on WAV recording AND playback - computer laptop Dell 1545, Windows 7

Recently (the last couple of weeks), my laptop Dell 1545 with Windows 7 started having a problem: when I record or reading any WAV file (or a file MPG or WMV video too by the way) with any application (I tried several), there is a stuttering or interruption every 30 seconds like clockwork.  I have tried everything and can't seem to fix it.  During playback, it causes a split second buzz or silent, on the record, missing just a fraction of a second of audio, leaving a 'leap' in the best stuff WAV audio recording.  The only changes that I made in the system in the past month have been a few updates to Windows 7.  It ruins any recording or playback, I try to do, and is very frustrating.  It does the same thing on the files that are years old and new files (reading).  If I burn these files to a CD or DVD, they play very well in the CD drive or DVD, is not a problem in the files (except those currently record during breaks).

    What I tried:

    Much, restart several times.

Reinstall the driver for my audio interface, even if she did the same on the native sound card too.

Download the new driver from the audio interface and install it.

Back to the old driver, then again to the new.

Tried to record from multiple sources, ditto.

I tried recording through the native as well as audio interface sound card.

Deleted 40 GB from my hard drive.

    Defragged my hard drive

    Off my anti-virus program

Close all other programs other than playback of the file.

    All USB disconnected elements.

Tried to plugged the charger and entirely on batteries.

    RAM tested.

    Tested CPU.

    Nothing has worked so far.

    Any ideas?

DWasnich: I had the same problem as you yesterday after restoring my Dell Inspiron 1545 to factory image. Through process of elimination (as mentioned Gokul T) I was able to determine that one of the services was originally the audio and video to jump to 30-second intervals. I disabled the 'Intel Matrix Storage Monitor' service and solved the problem. Why this service was installed and running after the factory reload is confusing. This is one portable hard drive without needing a RAID System. I hope this has solved your problem too! Joe

  • Inspiron 1545 battery does not charge

My Inspiron is running on the AC adapter.  The battery icon contains the symbol of the plug which should mean that he is in charge, but the capacity is indicated as 4% - "not plugged in charge." The battery is new, so we can assume that the last of them was not the end of his life!

    Any ideas? -Thanks Bob Bottomley

  • Satellite U series: Question about bypassing the battery when connected on AC

Hi, I am a bit newbie to PC Toshiba laptop (series U) and I was wondering if my laptop has this feature where it bypasses the battery when it is fully charged and the power supply cable is connected?
I see the battery blue led is on even when it is fully charged and the power is connected, it means that my computer is still using the battery?

I'm running a lot and I will not waste my battery life.
    Thanks for any comments.

    Hello

Congratulations on your new machine, I understand that worried you´re for your battery life. I was scared too, but a lot of people here in the forum told me that, in each new machine for many years (i.e. about 6 to 9 years) almost every laptop has an electronic charge that regulates the process of charge of the battery.

Don t worry, if your battery is fully charged, the built-in charging circuit is a special State that is as "cool cool" to maintain your battery and to protect the battery.
S better to keep the battery in the machine then removing it.

    Welcome them

  • My dell 1545 is the "standby" and don't wake up mode

I have a del Inspiron 1545 and is in "standby mode" and is been like this for nearly three days the power lite turns on the fan comes in two seconds, but then it does nothing

If always "standby mode" after hitting enter key or move the mouse, I would recommend, hold the power button until the PC turns off. Then click on the Start button / stop and reboot. You can check the power settings in the control panel to see how it is configured. You can change these settings as to how much of time of inactivity before switching mode to 'sleep'.

  • Question about Dell backup and recovery Premium

Always looking for a conventional way to save the Tablet (5130) and have the ability to start in an environment of recovery and restore from a backup. Did anyone tried B & R Premium? Supposedly will do exactly that... Anyone can shed some light? Thank you

Personally, I wouldn't. I'm sure it works fine, but Vista and Windows 7 recovery options are always in Windows 8.1.

You can perform a recovery USB flash drive to reset your device to factory (out of the box) standard in Windows. (A 8 GB flash drive works.)

You can save an image of the entire system of external storage such as a USB 100 GB HDD or more.

USB recovery installs a Windows recovery with multiple options environment. These include repair the disk image partition recovery on the Flash DRIVE itself or the hard disk recovery partition, if that partition has not been removed (to leave a space after creation of the USB flash drive - it's an option which is offered), or recreate the entire disk to a system image on an external hard drive attached.

Boot from the work of USB flash drive made in the same way using a DVD or a CD bootable in previous versions of Windows. He gets the familiar environment of the recovery and begins asking for details on your keyboard.

A few steps are required, and you must remember to MAKE backups (or schedule backups in Task Scheduler to make repetitive.)  Windows 8 will only create a backup on a small external hard drive (say 100 MB) and it will crush whenever a backup is performed. On a much larger hard drive, it will use up to 30% of the hard drive space and keep as much imaging system as possible, and then replaces the oldest with the most recent. In other words, you can keep multiple images on a 1 system external to you on a 100 GB external. (That would be about 300 MB of images of system on the 1 TB).

If you want to try this (and why not, it's free, assuming you have already a flash drive and an external USB hard disk) at the start of this way.

Create the key USB recovery flash. Charms blow and to search for the exact phrase "recovery disc". Select 'Create a recovery disk.' In the dialog box, check [] copy the recovery partition from the PC on the recovery disk"(if it is not grayed out, in other words).  Run through this process and you'll find yourself with a flash drive bootable USB able to mount a rescue environment.  (You may need to go into BIOS and set up the drive as your first boot device to test.)

Create a system image for backup of the entire hard disk by hitting swipe in charms and by searching for the exact phrase "file history". Select "Save backup copies of your files with the historical file." This page takes a while to load. When loading, find "Backup of System Image" in the lower left corner.

Are there disadvantages of this report to the use of the Dell premium service? There must be or they wouldn't charge it. I have not studied on this subject (because I'm old and stuck in my ways, and I stick to what works for me), but I imagine that it automates things a bit and has an element of cloud backup.  It can even happen transparently in the background. I do not know.

In any case, Bob, I hope this helps.

  • Question about Dell OEM: SLP Windows 7 Installation disk domestic; can it be installed and activated on other computers from Dell?

I bought a Dell installation disk and I want to use it to install a better version of Windows on my Dell PC. I have windows Vista and I want to use it to update my OS Windows7 Home Premium. However, the license type is SLP:OEM and no detail... not sure what SLP: OEM means... I thought that the OS discs are the same. Someone told me no retail editions are not suitable for a new OS, but I'm confused. The disc says, Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, but didn't holograms who have all MS OS disks and the disk is labeled for use with a Dell system only, if the means it will work very well on my Dell PC? The label does not which brand or model this disc is for, but said only for the Dell PC which is my PC. I'm assuming, the disk won't work on all Dells, maybe someone can offer suggestions, any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

I have a few other questions about Windows 7, can I ask you about this on your Web site? Do not know how to contact you on your website. I can see other people responding to your articles, but that's all. I thought that maybe their might be a forum to post a question... Thank you for everything.

You can comment on my site but comments will be public and it is easier to answer questions in the forums.

If you want to be more precise, you can post in the Dell Community Forums. :

There are also ways to private message me there is something I don't think that can be done by non-moderateurs on Microsoft Answers. However, I prefer answering questions on the forum:

  • Which Dell looks like this? Desperately need to talk to someone about Dell who cares

I was promised a replacement for the last 3 weeks machine. The keep telling me that there is a problem with the shipping system. Every day I am told it will be another couple of days. Help!

Too, I have recently known horrors command at Dell and their completely useless 'customer service' so I thought to share with you a few thoughts...

This forum is considered a sell-to customer forum (in other words, Dell attempt to allow users to solve problems of customer instead of having their employees to do so).  Although there are moderators who occasionally offer to help they promise nothing.  In my experience the times gave it to help they delivered nothing more than false hope while they never followed upward on their offers.  They say that they are not a "substitute" for customer service.

The forum also has rules about what can be said here, so I can't be vague in suggestions on how you can do to hopefully attract the attention of someone at Dell which may help to solve your problems.

First of all, if you paid by credit card, it is good to contact the credit card company to discuss your options. These days several credit card companies limit the number of days we can discuss a charge so it is best to act quickly.

In addition, you can google "email addresses for consumerist dell" for potential e-mail address to contact the management of Dell.

You may also submit a report to this body that works to make a business to behave better towards the consumer (they censor if validated name).

There is a consumer protection agency in your State where you can report your experience.

It is a federal agency that is responsible for protecting the trade where you can also report your story.

Sorry that the forum does not allow me to be more direct, but they have rules in place to protect themselves - who himself says a lot about their sincerity to help customers with legitimate problems if this is the best I can offer.

That said, I highly recommend the cancellation of your order and cut your losses.  There are many computers on the market what he didn't need to be abused by a company you want to buy.

    Good luck.

    Hello

I found the same information, but I put t think you can use 4 hours. My opinion is that you can use it two hours. I recommend to set the CPU at a lower level and also check other settings like the brightness of the screen. If you set all these lower-level settings, you can save useful energy and work for long periods.
