My dell 1545 is the "standby" and don't wake up mode

I have a del Inspiron 1545 and is in "standby mode" and is been like this for nearly three days the power lite turns on the fan comes in two seconds, but then it does nothing

If always "standby mode" after hitting enter key or move the mouse, I would recommend, hold the power button until the PC turns off. Then click on the Start button / stop and reboot. You can check the power settings in the control panel to see how it is configured. You can change these settings as to how much of time of inactivity before switching mode to 'sleep'.

For Photoshop CS2 activation has been reprocessed, so your original drive and the serial number does not work.

As an owner of CS2, Adobe has a copy without activation and serial number, to which you are entitled.

The serial number is to the right of the download link for Windows. You'll need this one, not your old number.

  • Reconfigure RAID (Online Capacity Expansion) does not work for non Dell drives in the bios and is not available in OMSA for VMWare

VMWare users have found a solution for the following?

Readers of PERC H700 and H800 (firmware current 12.10.4 - 0001 A10, r610 servers) allow the user (in the bios during startup) to create new virtual disks using non Dell drives, but you cannot expand a virtual disk existing readers not Dell, when in the bios.  The option is grayed out.

OMSA for Windows bypasses it.  Virtual disk | Tasks | Reconfigure can do online capacity expansion and accepts disks not Dell for this.

Problem is OMSA to VMWare ESXi (v7.2, the current version and older versions) doesn't have a virtual disk tasks fall to the bottom.  You can not even a hard drive flashes.  (VMWare ESXi = v5.1)

The only solution we can think of is to have two drive arrays connected to the computer, and create a simple Windows with OMSA, boot in Windows Server to expand the virtual disk using OMSA for Windows.

I would be interested in the comments of others, including those of Dell.  We spent hours on the phone with Dell; This seems to be the only solution.  (Yes, Dell released a firmware version last year that has ceased blocking non Dell readers, but it only works for the creation of a new virtual disk, do not expanding one existing).

The firmware update the unlocked non certified discs was in July 2010 (two years ago).  No latest updates seem to speak of changes/updates to update that.

I don't know why uncertified discs would be blocked for a single operation (expansion/reconfigure) - are get you certain types of message that certainly is the case?  Did you do that with certified readers?  Last I heard, Dell had a firmware update in the works that would allow an extension to get the CTRL-R utility, where it historically could not be done from there.  12.10.4 as of 2012, I guess (if the Dell guy who told me he rode was OK) this update has not been released yet... However, I could be wrong.  I don't have a H700 to test with, but you can try OMSA live as an alternative to the construction of a temporary Windows Server to try the expansion of the OMSA.

  • When sending emails with Outlook Express, they sit in the Outbox and don't move to sent items.

My system is XP Microsoft w/Internet Explorer 7.  My online service is through netzero.  I started having problems several weeks ago about my Outlook Express.  In the last whe I send a file, he crossed for recipients and also would go directly to my sent folder.  Now adays, occasionally, the info is sent to recipients but does not go to my sent folder and the express pointed out a mistake and put my email in the Outbox.  I have to move it to project from the Outbox folder or the system keeps trying to return.  He goes to the recipients, but not in my sent folder.  What's wrong?

    original title: Microsoft Outlook Express

You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  • After you run the workflow in minor data, then the window "start" made its appearance all the time and don't can't stop it

I installed the oracle11g and configured the SQL Developer minor and the data correctly, but when I run a workflow, the window 'departure' appears all the time, can't walk in the phase of runing and also can not stop. For now, the only thing I can do is to kill the program in the Windows operating system.

Sometimes, when I kill the program and restart and restart run the workflow, it may be normal.

So, I would like to know why and how to sovle it?

Yes, there is a simple solution:

"To ensure that Workflow tasks Data Miner is visible in your user interface".

It is the window that displays the list of workflows that were run during the last day, and also all workflows running active and their completion percentage.

If this window is visible, if it is not blocked from viewing by another tab, then you will avoid your problem.
If you do not see the window tasks of Workflow Data Miner at all, then go to the menu: Tools-> Data Miner-> make it Visible.

That should it appears in your user interface, then you should just make sure that it is fully visible.

SQL Dev 4.0 final version will be released soon, it will be difficult, so this problem is no longer a problem.

    Thank you, Mark

  • HP OfficeJet 3830: 3830 HP wireless printer is offline in "sleep mode" and don't wake up to print

I've just set up a HP OfficeJet 3830 as a printer connected to my network wireless domestic (Airport Extreme Base Station router 802.11ac wireless). I was able to print-out of my MacBook, but when the printer goes into sleep mode, it appears offline and unresponsive to print. I have to restart the printer for her to appear online and respond. The printer will be in the basement, so it would be very inconvenient down to reboot just to print it. Kind of defeated the purpose of a wireless printer. I tried to disable the sleep mode to see if it works, but sleep mode settings cannot be disabled in the printer preferences. I already spent 3 hours to solve this problem.

I contacted HP technical support to solve the problem. The person told me restore default settings and then unplug the power to the printer and the router wireless for 30 seconds. After restarting the router, then the printer, we have connected the printer to the network with a static IP address. Who did the trick. Even if the printer is in "sleep" for several hours, it has not disappeared in offline mode, as it is done before. Problem solved for now. Hope this helps others.

  • BIOS update problems. After SP3 update, I got the BSOD and cannot be run in Mode without failure.

Yesterday I went to the AMD site to download the latest version of the BIOS.  I installed the SP3 for XP and got the BSOD but no details, only four error codes after the Stop 0x0000007e.

Registered under a WinZip BIOS and when I opened it, it was defined as a file of VLC media player, which seemed poorly, and as a text file, which seemed wrong.  Earlier, but I had been able to open it, then run, and then he said that I had to stop so he could activate.  So when I said if turned off, the system said, hang on, it's not over and if you stop now, you may lose files.  So I waited, nothing happened.  So I did it again, and he says that you want to uninstall, suggesting it was already installed.

If it has been installed, it has obviously had no effect on my BSOD problem.  Only, I can boot into safe mode since I've upgraded to SP3.  And a question he says might be the problem, it's a BIOS updated.

Have I not two BIOS?  One for the CPU and one for the motherboard?  I went to update my ASUS MB, but who could have got WinZip number, not the AMD BIOS for the CPU.  Anyway, still getting the BSOD.  And when I started, I don't think that the version of the BIOS has changed.  But I could check my version against the latest versions, and I'm seriously out of date.

    I have an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 6000 + 89v.

    Motherboard is ASUS M2N-SLI-Deluxe

I really don't think the updated BIOS updated.

My notebook went to sleep mode and won't start. It is difficult to find the restart button. There is no way you can remove the battery.

Why my pc decided to go fashion 'sleep' and would not wake up? How can I Tickle she was with me again?

Oh! I rang HP support center and got a really helpful man. He knew the problem exactly and gave me the clue:

    1. remove the Tablet from the key board.

    2. press and hold the power button on the upper right and the side 'less' of the volume key on the right side of the tablet at the same time for 20 seconds and then release.

    3. wait for a minute or two restart the tablet.

The prudent man, leave any machine with a hard drive on during more than 30 odd minutes will keep the machine mode 'sleep', but the hard drive may stop and may not ride as usual.

So, if you leave your laundry for more than half an hour, please turn off properly.

  • Computer automatically "wake up" and unable to wake up mode standby when left idle

original title: screen saver does not work, the computer automatically "wake up". Computer regularly become inactive and cannot be stopped! Forced to pull the plug.

We have a Vostro 200 with windows vista. The computer still works very well except for two major problems. The first: the screen saver does not work. The screen goes black minute before the screen saver, but when it needs to switch to screen saver mode, the fan in the computer is a thud and the screen turns back on. The second: If the computer is not alone for extended periods of time (hours to end upward in a weird semi-off state). The monitor becomes completely black (the power light goes from green to orange) and the power of the Tower light flashes continuously. If we move the mouse or the keyboard, nothing happens. We are not able to easily to "wake up" the computer. If we hold the power button down for 10 seconds, the round ends. If restart us the breath fan aggressively, but the screen will not display anything. The only way to get the computer working again is to turn off the switch that powers the computer for ~ 1 min and then put it back in again once. After a time abnormally long start-up, the computer goes to the exact same State it was when he went to the black start (the documents are always opened ect.). Does anyone have a similar experience? I am baffled and could use some help. Thank you!

    Hello

I would guess that you have a hardware driver that is not fully compatible with the sleep mode function. I would check with the manufacturer and system of the various devices for driver updates (do not use Windows Update to do this). If this fails to solve the problem, you can turn off "sleep" (Control Panel/Power Options, check the settings of the engine at idle) or reduce the State of "s" that the system tries to get into the BIOS system (if available).

  • Monitor and system used "wake up" mode ensures

I tell my story so that others may not feel as if they were alone in their perdicament. My story starts like this:

I bought the m9520f and and w2408h last Saturday and have been enjoying the PC immensely. I really like HP and wouldn't not consider purchasing another manufacturer - even with the troubles, I'm going to wear. Everything worked well until Sunday night, when I put the system into "sleep" mode and returns an hour later. I had put the system into "sleep" before but was returned to him several minutes later. But this time after leaving the PC in "sleep" for an hour, the system will not turn back. The lights on the PC itself would come on (from the green 'sleep' to the 'blue'), but the monitor would refuse to wake up. I called support and even they could not understand it. We have tried to unplug the pc and all its ropes, but nothing worked. I hooked up the monitor to my other pc, and it worked well, so I knew there was nothing wrong with the monitor. Earlier Saturday the PC would not recognize Monitor driver then maybe had something to do with it. Hmmm. When I disconect the PC monitor would come and it lights on the keyboard would be as well. When I plugged the monitor of the PC turns on but keyboard lights wouldn't. Strange. The monitor would immediately switch to "standby" mode as soon as I plugged the HDMI or VGA - in fact just before he would monitor OSD would be inidcate that niether the HDMI or VGA were connected (which they were physically). So I knew that the monitor was not to recognize the conection. Communication between the monitor and the PC must have been the cause. After about 45 times to turn on and off Alternatively the monitor and the PC, the monitor has FINALLY acknowledged that there was a link and my PC on - WHEWWW. I was afraid that I would have to discuss with the people at Circuit City for an Exchange. I still don't know what happened, but all I know is that I will NEVER put this monitor or PC in sleep in the future. Here are the symptoms that I lived in case someone else there is in the same perdicament. It seems to me that this can be cured with a software update - but I'm not smart enough to Koe for sure:

Tip #1: The PC would not recognize Monitor driver

Tip #2: This happened after leaving the monitor and the PC in 'sleep' for more than 30 minutes

Tip #3: The PC lights (clear blue power, stable, flashing green light on the back and the dvd player opens) but the rest of the monitor to sleep

Tip #4: The monitor refuses to acknowledge that it is "connected".

CUE #5: The PC "blockages" accordingly and refuses to switch (kind of caught between being on and "sleepy")

Tip #6: When the PC finally trun on the driver and the software supplied with the monitor that he would not recognize Saturday had risen from PC (hmm - I chose to not reinstall)

My recommendation: do NOT try to install the driver provided with your monitor and DO NOT put your system into "sleep" for more than 15 minutes.

My system: Pavilion Elite m9520f with monitor w2408h 24 inches.

    LAST UPDATED:

After several weeks with the computer, I found the solution. I did through trial an error. First of all, let me say that I don't have the option of returning the PC to the retailer, because it was Circuit City and they had to stop their activities - so I couldn't do that. Here is the solution for those of you are having problems with your PC do not 'wake up' sleep: (Please note that some documents below may be repetative and you could read what follows before in my previous updates - I just wat to summarize below for some people)

    1) to update drivers (ALL)

    (2) update the BIOS (very Important!) on the site of HP

    (3) HP has a problem with USB devices (external drives, USB mouse, anything with USB and Yes, that includes your monitor). Which MAY have something to do with the "bus controller" driver who refuses to this day to be installed on the 'updates '. I was not able to install this darn update, so I gave up. I know that many of you have had trouble with that as well so I'll leave for another topic on the forum of "solve". All I have now is that I've resigned myself to the fact that it will never be installed and I'm fine with it. Anyway, my main concern was the problem of "sleep". Getting back to what I was saying, the HP has a problem with the USB devices. In other words, all USB DEVICES MUST BE REMOVED before you go into sleep - if you do not, then the system will NOT "wake up". What I've learned, is to remove all USB devices before entering the sleep and my system will go to sleep and wake up without problems - for me, it was just a matter of having disconnected and reconnected once the system was awake. Of course, those with a USB mouse, I recommend that you get a mouse not USB. Fortunately also my HP w2408h monitor is connected through a HDMI cable so I don't have the problem of having to disconnect and reconnect it. The manual of the suggested w2408h connect it by HDMI AND USB but only connect it via HDMI and it works perfectly for me - DO NOT CONNECT THE USB cable on the screen because then you will have the problem of sleep.

    Resolved solution!

(now, if I can get my gosh darn controller BUS to install and my blu - ray to panic game then that would be nice - arghhhhhhh!)

Hope my experience helped the people there!

Windows reports that either standby or Hibernate are supported by the system. How can I activate them?
