Access denied re-installation Photosmart 2610
Hello
I use a 2610 all-in-one PS in a 5 PC LAN for a couple of years - very pleased with it indeed.
Recently, I did a few PC updates and necessary to re - install the driver and began to fall on the access denied"" message.
Operating systems are XP Home and XP Pro, and in both cases, I can't through the installation. The Pro gives me the message, and the House blocking the installation.
I think it's a problem between XP and the driver, because XP is always automatically updated.
I also have a laptop running Vista, the installation was easy and I can print, scan and do everything by WiFi - as you wish.
My problem becomes critical, because most Office XP computers enter the 2610 not more.
I tried the support chat, but they couldn't get it fixed.
Anyone also report this problem could you PLEASE hep me?
For those who might be strugling to this question - I had resolved it through HPs site.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00836418
in particular:
Solution 3: turn background programs off the coast and reinstall the HP software
Second step: disable the "Terminate and Stay Resident" (TSR) and other background programs
Who did it!
Good luck

I traced down on the threads here that it's a common problem with the vise Installer application that many use to install their software, so they do not install for the same reason. Apparently the cause of changes in security in mac OS.

You may need to restore the permissions on your user account. To do this, start on your recovery partition (hold down the command and R during startup) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In the Terminal, type: 'resetpassword' (without the), press return, and then select the admin user. You do not have to reset your password. Click the icon of your Mac hard drive at the top. In the list box below, select the user account that has problems. At the bottom of the window, you will see a box labeled restore Home Directory permissions and ACLs. Click the button to reset there. The process takes a few minutes. When you're finished, restart.

Hi all
I recently had some problems with file/folder permissions after the removal of some trojan virus and now it looks like system & user permissions are scrambled for important system files into \Windows.
The symptoms are:
-Windows cannot install any driver of all new storable USB device that I connect to my computer, only the previously used one are recognized and properly displayed in the Explorer. For any I get a message saying that Windows cannot find the driver, even if I manually pick up the correct driver to the correct location, it does not install.
-I can not throw more my computer-> right button Device Manager, I get a message saying that it cannot be launched, but I always open it manually goes \System32 to reach the file.
-From the command line, I get an "access denied" to any program of system, I try to use, such as SECEDIT to reset as described in file permissions:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313222If someone knows how to fix these on \Windows file/folder permission issues?
Thanks for any advice,

Thunderbird was not able to update from version 24.6.0 (under Windows 7). Whenever I try to auto update, it tells me that the update fails. When I let the updater download a full version, which also fails. When I try to download a new version manually, during the extraction process, I get an error message indicating "7-Zip" up and "Access denied" in the window. I followed all the suggestions to the support download error page (as an administrator, stop the process of Thunderbird, etc.), and none of them solved the problem. Any other ideas?
What firewall / anti-virus software you are using. My guess is that the firewall or the anti virus software blocks both the update and full installation because it contains ZIP files. I have not heard that outside the paranoid company / parameters of business in the past, but there's always a first time.

RE: "access denied" following the installation of Firefox question. I have the same problem. Details below: I tried opening in Mode safe that has not worked. I have administrative access. When I click on the general tab in properties, I get a message that there is no such thing as "firefox.exe". This file, or any other type 'install' file appears in the directory Mozilla Firefox with the exception of 'uninstall '. I downloaded and tried to install seven times from six different sources, including Mozilla, all with the same results. I also tried a number of solutions on the web for this error without great success. I tried, first of all, to make an upgrade, then remove the old version of Firefox and have been 'install' since then. Avast, Malwarebytes and Threatfire found no malware.
I've never had a similar problem with Firefox before and I used it for years. Anyone has any ideas that I have not already tried? I'm tired of using Internet Explorer! RE: Troubleshooting below - information Windown will not open the downloaded file.
