Accessibility of the outputs PDF in BI Publisher

Any who attempted to produce output open BI Publisher 11g?

I see that there is option in Administration > Configuration of execution > output PDF > "disable copy context, extraction and accessibility." This suggests that BI Publisher 11 g supports PDF Accessible output.

But the documentation suggests that only HTML output are available in BI Publisher.

Which is correct?

Got confirmation from SupportWeb that accessibility is available only for HTML output.

    To create the RoboHelp project, I imported a Word document, which created a topic for each section. Now, besides HTML help, I want to generate documentation printed in PDF format.

    I don't want to "hard code" these numbering in the topics itself in the HTML code, because the insertion of a title would result in the manual update of all of the following points as well.

    -leave out numbers in RoboHelp

  • Option page number lost in the output PDF module

    It's driving me crazy!

    I used the output module quite happy to create contacts in the bridge 3 (CS4), and welcomed the opportunity to have the added page number, with options for downstairs to the left, right etc.

    Yesterday, I had to reinstall Photoshop CS4 for unrelated reason. Fine, except that now there is no page number option.

    Any suggestions very welcome.

    You must download the update for AOM, there the possibility for the header and

    footer where you can ad page numbers. If the Adobe update does not correct this

    then, just do a search on the Adobe.com download size and you will find it.

    After Googling was not round, it seems that the standard put in place one

    ability to add page numbers.

    So I have added improved somehow. Scripts like plate Contact II

    and Board Contact X find their way in the options in the output of bridge

    I think I understand quite well the functioning of cross-references in Framemaker, but one thing that bothers me, it's how, when you generate a PDF from Framemaker file and clicking on a reference, the resulting page view locates the cross at the top of a page reference marker.

    It's very annoying and confusing when, say, referring to a figure of legend that appears at the bottom of a page. Page display that results when such a reference in a PDF document after Center the text of the _following_ page, with the text of the legend of the barely visible figure at the top of the page.

    My question: is it possible to build cross references that show the page, when you click in a PDF document, is centered on the page that displays the cross-reference material?

    Not AFAIK in FrameMaker.

    But in Acrobat, set the initial view one Page instead of continuous.

    File > properties > Initial View.

    Two upward (direction) and two up (cover Page) would also work.

  • Creation of files PDF RoboHelp adds in unnecessary indentation in the output file

    Everyone knows that when you create a PDF file of your source of RoboHelp, on certain pages of the PDF output, there is a large dash added to certain pages? He pushes the text on the pages to the right. It does not appear to be linked to any particular type of formatting in the source file. It happens with h1s, p tags, and and the ol and ul tags.

    Is this something that happens when converting Word, or is it something that can be controlled in the source of RoboHelp project? What can be done to prevent this indenting. I have several outputs that I need to generate and would rather avoid having to change each Word file.

    I enclose a photo that shows what I mean. The text is almost aligned under the header.

    Something interesting. My source files, I had a number of tags

    , which seemed to force indentation when we generated PDFs. remove tags
    source prevented indentation that occur in the output PDF file.

    Let say, I have three files PDF 1. a flatten pdf 2. interactive PDF (where I can fill data) 3. Another flatten pdf.

    If I have these three assembler PDF documents, then I can get a pdf of ape- like 1 pdf on the first page, 2nd pdf on page 2 and 3rd pdf on page 3

    Scenario: I want to allow the user to send a perticular page/article which he asked. Other fields I wnt to freez.

    If there are three forms (say 1 details personnel form 2 detail official form 3 detailed family). The user must present all the details for the first time. Then I can merge (assemble) all three forms and give the user to fill in all the details. Then click on the button submit, all obtained details submitted via servlet calling.

    Now, next time if the request is the official retail change\edit\update, so I can create a form with personal information and family details are freezing, but detailed official form is interactive.

    My question is

    1. this PDF will be intractive pdf?  EG.pdf (flatten + intractive + flatten) = intractive pdf

    2. If the output pdf file is intractive pdf, then can it be submitted to the servlet

    1 - Yes.  Use the attribute baseDocument for the intermediate document (interactive) and the tag noXFA to the other two documents (non-interactive)

    2 - Yes, you can submit it.  You will get data from the intermediate document that others are now dishes (it has no fields in them).

    Problem is, there is no quick display of security on open the PDF, even I set OPE-pdf-security and OPE-pdf-open-password with XML value {/ ROWSET_ROW/SEC_FLAG} and {/ ROWSET_ROW/LAST_NAME} respectively.

    Second, I need to do authentication based on two field instead of one as mention above {/ ROWSET_ROW/LAST_NAME}, but currently, I can't authenticate even for a single field, what I'm doing wrong here. Please help me

    Hi Prasanna,

    CSV is not a default output for your BI Publisher reporting format. You can view your page layouts in a CSV file however to report (not Data Model), then clicking on the link "View as list" on the top right of the screen - the default selection is "show thumbnails". When you click on the link "View as List" you can change and select the output formats of each layout in your report which includes a CSV. According to me, there is an option in the administration screen BI Publisher to change the default output formats but not 100% sure on that.

    This is not related to Acrobat, Microsoft, you can see this problem with Microsoft Word is known: grant access file: cannot open the document: user - Microsoft Community it is a sandbox application. It restricts user with several workflow.

    Unfortunately, there isn't much we can help at this stage.

    Has anyone been able to produce more than one type of output (pdf, afp, etc.) of a single transaction in DM?

    And could you tell how you did it? (parameters fsiuser or other)

    We use 11.3 and 12.2 currently and that you are interested in generating output AFP and PDF simultaneously for each transaction.

    Obviously, we can perform the transaction twice, once using PrinterType = AFP and using PrinterType = PDF in the fsiuser.

    Looking for a way to do it in one fell swoop.

    I m a vector problem with PDFs made with Illustrator (Ai CC 17).

    When I send them to other designers or clients with an older version (CS5) that they can't open PDFs in artificial intelligence.

    I thought Universal PDF and should work with ANY version of AI, as well as any version of ANY program there vector (Inkscape, Corel, etc.) ...

    If it has to do with my output PDF Properties dialog box when save as PDF in my CC Ai?

    -What I need: I want to be able to output my vector illustrations in a PDF format that is UNIVERSAL and can be opened and edited by everyone about what vector program, they have and even Word documents.

    This kind of work falls into a category that should be editable in many applications of vector. But maybe not all in the same easy manner. And maybe not in other software such as Word.

    More compatible file format is EPS (version 3). But this file format is a bit dated and indeed should not be used in modern workflows. So even if you enable some users, you turn off others.

    Therefore, it is best to offer multiple formats. But even in this case, you will get all of your users.

    You might want to delve deeper into other software formats and file if you want to get into this new.
