  Has anyone been able to produce more than one type of output (pdf, afp, etc.) of a single transaction in DM?

  And could you tell how you did it? (parameters fsiuser or other)

  We use 11.3 and 12.2 currently and that you are interested in generating output AFP and PDF simultaneously for each transaction.

  Obviously, we can perform the transaction twice, once using PrinterType = AFP and using PrinterType = PDF in the fsiuser.

  Looking for a way to do it in one fell swoop.

  You know the password? Otherwise, the security policy does not allow adding comments in the file, then there is nothing you can do about it.

• Output PDF and Excel cell spacing problems

  I have a report and a model whose production should be both in PDF and Excel.
  
  Lets say I have two tables put one under the other. (Table 1 and table 2 below it..)
  
  Table 1 has 5 columns and table 2 to 30 columns.
  In PDF format because it is difficult and ugly to display 30 columns, I made 6 (very small font) fonts
  
  Output PDF seems fine. But, when I open the reort in excel... all dirty sound upward and ugly.
  Width of column 1 of the table is very uneven. lI noted that table 1, table 2 coulmns width are the same...
  For my requirement, they must have widths separated... Also... When I open the report in Excel, I always get in 6 font size which is ugly
  
  I want the table1 column width and width of column 2 of the table in as separate Excel...
  
  How to achieve them.

• Possible to insert PDF secure in an another PDF?

  We create PDF files from Word using Acrobat documents for a client. The client wants to distribute the files so that the text and images can be copied, but the file as a whole can be inserted in other PDF documents. They also want to keep the file size manageable.

  The current approach is to secure the PDF using password encryption Acrobat (file > properties > security or tools > Protection > encrypt), but as far as I know, once that restrict you the permissions on a file, extract pages or insert into other files is no longer an option. The client's customers work around this printing and scanning to PDF secure, that they should not have to do.

  Please note that we do NOT seek to insert pages into a secure PDF file. I know how to do this, but this isn't the problem. We want to insert one or more files of PDF secured in another file.

  I tried to save the document in Word or PDF of first passage at a picture, then again in PDF format, but the result is files ranging from 3 to 10 times the original size.

  Can our problem solved using the PDF Acrobat format and/or? Is someone can authoritatively tell me it's impossible? We are open to other combinations of software type and file.

  It can not be done with Acrobat. In other words, you can have pages that have security restrictions and others are not. Safety applies to all pages in a document.

  In any case, standard password security can easily be removed if there is no open password or if there is, and the open password is known. If it does not prevent someone who is determined to copy the content.

  and we can out of the multiple layers in a single PDF in illustrator?  Or several layers in single format JPEG from illustrator with a single command instead to save individually on each page... would be a huge timesaver for me.

  Currently I pulled out each layer individually filled then right-click on these JPEG output files in the output folder and choose "combine taken supported files in acrobat... "to create a unique acrobat...

  I also that to be able to CTRL click multiple layers and go save as... only these layers be saved on...

  And so add something in the Save to output PDF save the Layers dialog box to multiple pages would be a useful time saver...

  In CS 4 and CS 5, you can drag and drop FRO m the finder or bridge, and I suppose that any other viewer of similar type, multiple number of image files to a document. You can configure the bridge so that you can see the bridge and your document at the same time for this purpose.

  If you drag and drop files are linked, if you drag while holding down the SHIFT key, then the files will be incorporated.

  ID and PS CS 5 have a minijonction who works the way sam but is actually a Panel and will stay at the front.

  I have Adobe Professional 9.2 and LiveCycle ES Designer 8.1. I need to change a classic ASP web application to generate a PDF report. The way I see it, I have three options:

  (1) creating native output PDF using libraries open source.

  (2) create a FDF with Adobe Pro form as a model and use the libraries of Adobe's FDF to replace text in the model

  (3) create an XML with LiveCycle form as a template and order the substitution of text in the XML.

  I created a PDF with LiveCycle and before saving, disabled the 'save the compressed PDF files' in tools/options. I don't want a text box, just labels, and in some of the labels I will put the text distinguishes. When the web application uses the model he will find various text strings in the XML stream and replace.

  What is the best way to do it? Is there a better way to make the substitution in the model of LiveCycle? I want to stay with LiveCycle. But since I saw code samples, substitution of FDF is very simple and may be easier. I also thought of LiveCycle is supposed to be the way to go instead of Adobe Pro. Thank you

  There is a family of program server ADB products called LiveCycle that do all this and much more. Note that is company based software is not cheap.

  To create the RoboHelp project, I imported a Word document, which created a topic for each section. Now, besides HTML help, I want to generate documentation printed in PDF format.

  I don't want to "hard code" these numbering in the topics itself in the HTML code, because the insertion of a title would result in the manual update of all of the following points as well.
  

  There is only one solution to workaround:
  -leave out numbers in RoboHelp
  -generate a Word first
  -set the dial plan, which numbers all the stars as requires it
  -update the table of contents in Word
  -generate PDFS

  Hi all, we have a HP Office Jet Pro 8600, running on a Windows 7 Professional (attached USB) Workstation. We found that when a file is scanned into a PDF file of the scanner, it has an option of security enabled by default (see screenshot below). Is it possible to disable this option in the settings on the scanner maybe somehow the computer?

  Because of this setting is enabled, we are not able to merge the PDF with other PDF files we have unless we re - print the document to another PDF file which is work around the course, but it's an extra step that really shouldn't be necessary.

  I've seen this problem before, and it deals more with the permissions defined by your Adobe PDF Viewer, not so much to do with our scanning software.

  However, I know what you are looking for. You must designate which before scanning so that he could merge all the files analyzed in a series in a single document.

  When you go to analyse in the scan window, choose "/ CSA /." Here, if you designate PDF as default file type, you can designate all the files in a series to bring together in a single document.

• SX10 Audio output via external active speakers, VGA mini-jack 3.5 mm

  We have a SX10 which works very well in the test connected via an HDMI cable to a TV, but we would like to have all the outputs audio codec go to a pair of external speakers.  We tried

  A. using a few different de-embedder HDMI devices to strip the audio from the HDMI connection, with the exit to those who are related to some of the speakers

  B. using 'active them external speakers, 3.5 mm mini-plug' in a little amp with the connection of speakers to the ceiling grid

  Anyway, the audio ONLY happening to the speakers are the ' incoming call ringtone ' but we cannot hear audio from the remote site. Using only the HDMI cable itself to a TV, you can hear the audio from the remote through the TV.

  Is there something we're missing?

  I just tested your question here and I heard all the audio via the 3.5 mm output, I used a HDMI-DVI cable so that the audio would not get on TV via the DVI connector.  However, if I used a straight HDMI cable instead of a HDMI-DVI cable, all the sound elements transmitted via the HDMI cable and output 3.5 mm.

  No configuration has been made on the SX10, audio settings configuration is always default.

  I do not have a de-embedder to test with so I couldn't check for you.
