Acer 8572G - 6647 card upgrade memory

I've had this computer for 2 or 3 years, and I would say that it is finally slowing down. I would say that I am a user of power but very ill, but I think that my patience is wearing thin. So I'll add a ssd and some more memory.

Where can I find specifications maximum memory for my computer? I looked on Acer for the user guide and all they had was a GUG (essentially, a guide to the general user for all of the companions).

The sheet I have on the label next to me is:

Intel core i5 - 480 M (2.66 Ghz, 3 MB L3 cache)

4 GB of DDR3 memory

Maybe it's the motherboard: http://ark.intel.com/products/52952/Intel-Core-i5-480M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_66-GHz

If I wanted to go the maximum memory that my little beastie will take what I'd buy?

Hello Connie,.

    Hai,

    I own a number of satellite P300-1AE PSPCCE-00K003BT.
The specifications of the product on the memory of this laptop are:
    Standard: 4 096 (2 048 + 2 048) MB
    Max at: 8 192 MB
    Technology: DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)

    I had the following problem:
I'm not able to find the specifications to improve my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB.
I have download some programs of + capital + for example, they said the follow-up:
My max memory is 4 GB
    Installed current 4 GB
    Places available: N.A.
    DDR PC2-6400
("our system scanner could not make a complete match")

On every single site, I'm going to purchase memory upgrade like kingston or crucial... I can't find my P300 laptop-1AE between the other toshiba, I can't also chose a more general option for the P300.

Also on the toshiba site I found after a long search: 4 GB memory PC2 DDR2 (800 MHz), but then again... The P300 or more specific to my 1AE P300 is not in the list compatible models.

If at this point I got very confused which memory I need to buy to upgrade for a total of 8 GB of RAM... I don't want to waste money to buy the bad...
I even started to think that I could have more than 2 Bank for memory slots in my laptop? I started my BIOS and all he said was "total memory: 4 096 MB", so this has not helped me be...

    If concrete...
Should I replace the cards of 2 x 2 GB (installed) 2 x 4 GB cards? or do I have to buy 2 x another 2 GB and put in 2 other still empty slots? Or do I only 2 slots?

If I solved this problem... those who do I need to install? What are the specs?

I hope that my question is not too complicated, I really hope someone can help out me!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB. Toshiba recommends the use of the 4 GB Ram module compatible with PA3670U-1M4G part number.

My advice to you is: buy high quality RAM and you will have no problem as a lot of other people who want to save money and report subsequent here on compatibility issues. You can check this thread and you will find that most of them have problems with the essential modules.

Buy RAM from Kingston of high quality and you will have no problems.

  • Acer Aspire One D255 - upgrade memory - I was told I could be upgraded to 2GB. A DDR3 4 GB will work?

Went to the store to pick up a 2 GB and they were all, but the sales guy gave me a 4 GB DDR3.  The Geeks were all busy, and I had no time to wait, so I brought home and decided to research.  I find nothing on a 4GB for this model.  No one knows if it will make a difference.  They are apparently the same size. Now, I have windows 10 on mine and have need of more memory.

The 4GB will not work and neither will DDR3.

  • Upgrade memory voltage

Hi - I have a HP Pavilion t685.uk, with 1 GB of RAM - I want to add more RAM. Memory cards are DDR-400 s, however, when I look online to purchase one, I find there are 2 different voltages available - 2, 5V and 2, 6V. I looked in all the documents that I have for the PC, but nowhere no it tells me the RAM voltage.

    I noticed here...

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/upgrading-memory/m-p/124/highlight/true#M3

This tension is not mentioned - but it is certainly important?

In any case, I need to know the voltage and the purchase of the module OK, or is - this important step?

If I need to know the blood - how will I know?

    Thanks in advance!

PC3200 is THAT DDR SDRAM designed to operate at 200 MHz using DDR - 400 chips with 3 200 MB/s bandwidth. Because PC3200 memory transfers data on both fronts and clock, its effective clock rate is 400 MHz. (Source here)

See here the memory (in number thereon) refers to the PC-3200 (200 Mhz).

The final answer: you can install up to (4) 1 GB PC3200 DDR400 modules. The system will show around 3.25 to 3.5 GB of memory. (Please don't ask, it's just the simple truth about 32-bit OS).

    Hello

On most laptops the slot of memory are placed at the bottom of the unit, but it seems that the Tecra M7 slots are placed under the keyboard.

may I ask why you are suggesting that the user manual provides no information about the upgrade memory?
I downloaded the manual to the user on the Toshiba site and found a statement long and detailed how to upgrade and insert the modules!

Please identify your desktop PC with the product name and product number.

If you are upgrading and want to upgrade to work right the first time:

    1) must be replaced only memory by pairs of compatible memory modules guarantee of well known manufacturers.

    (2) find the compatible memory by online research with the full product name of your desktop + upgrade memory as keywords in the search.

    (4) do not use the memory of the peculiarities of the mtherboard specifications to match with the memory modules that are sold by a seller. Using this method of roll of the dice is a financial risk. Certainly, it increases the chances of a PC, even not by the way of the POST (power on self test) the BIOS during the startup process of the PC. He does not profit from the sale by the manufacturer argument... Guaranteed compatibility.

  • Upgrade memory (over TP. R40e) problem

    Hello!

I tried to increase the RAM on my ThinkPad R40e to 768 MB (now it has 256 MB) with module of 512 MB but computer recognized only half of the new memory module capacity.

Module has 512 MB DDR400 (new) and it was made by "takeMS".

    (CL 3, 2.5 V, 4 'chips' on each side a - 8 to the total/2 sides)

Since it was of DDR400 (PC 3200), this memory downgraded successfully to DDR266 (PC 2100) but only half was recognized - 256 MB!

    So, my questions are:

    1. is it possible to upgrade memory to 768 MB (256 + 512) with different types - DDR266 and DDR400

(a few MB less because it has an integrated graphics card)?

    2. what brand/type of 512 MB of RAM can I use for this model of ThinkPad R40e?

(according to IBM/Lenovo maximum capacity is 1 GB of RAM - 2 x 512 MB)

Computer: IBM ThinkPad R40e, model: 2684 (celeron 2.2 GHz, RAM: 256 MB DDR 266, HARD drive: 30 GB, combo)

    Thank you!

PS Sorry if my English is bad.

    I found a solution.

I upgraded the memory on my ThinkPad R40e!

    Here is the solution:

    1. I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest version.

(Before update BIOS it is necessary to check the Embedded Controller Progam version and update to the latest version before upgrading the BIOS)

All the drivers and software for R40 and R40e are here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-46024.html

    2. I bought 512 MB DDR RAM PC3200 - 400 Mhz (in my case, the memory is Kingston ValueRam: KVR400X64SC3A/512).

This ThinkPad uses PC2100 and PC2700 memory I bought is backward compatible (and cheaper)

It is important that this computer will only recognize memory that has 4 chips on each side!

I hope this can be useful to someone!

    Good bye

    Hi friends,
I have a system of 7663-xxx T61, with 1 GB PC2-5300 667 MHz RAM. My Front Side Bus 800 MHz (I think!), software Everest says my memory controller is capable, dual channel and ~ 85% physical RAM use. I have a nVidia Quadro NVS 140 M 128 MB graphics card, but Everest reports 512 MB?

I want to update my RAM and buy some online.
one) should I buy a similar 2 GB RAM PC2 - 5300 for my system performance, running Windows XP 32-bit? If so, should I buy Lenovo RAM only, for the maintenance of my 3 years warranty intact?

Will assume the ROM ThinkPad and Lenovo ThinkPad and Lenovo warranty portable systems limited

    (b) what are the alternatives best for good quality, reliable laptop computer memory, not to mention that Lenovo?
    (c) wouldn't it be better if I'm able to buy RAM that can match my FSB? This will have a performance advantage? Do these similar exist FSB RAM speed?
Please suggest manufacturers of memory superior, as appropriate.
I couldn't find any Lenovo 800 MHz memory on their Web site.

Kindly help me to solve my problem to upgrade memory.

    YOU Hamburg, Germany

Honestly, you'll be fine with either / or. I've not had a bad experience with Samsung never, if I had to choose I'd give it a very slight preference based on prior use.

I doubt that you (or me) would be able to tell the difference between two identical machines, execution of memory with different CLs...

    I hope this helps.
