Acer remote unable to wake up sleep Aspire XC-605

I've set up my Aspire XC-605 as an AcerCloud and it works fine, I can access my files with my iPhone and Android devices while the XC-605 is on, but not in mode 'sleep'. In the Acer remote control panel, if I check the box 'Allow to wake the computer', I get a "error: 205" and the box will not be checked.»

I have all the updates, except the BIOS. Updating the BIOS will solve this, or is there something else, I'm missing?

Thank you!

HiBeeSee,

Since there is no new version Acer BYOC Apps, I sincerely recommend upgrade you Acer BYOC Apps to the latest version for the best service experience Acer BYOC. After update applications, please try running Acer always connect again, check to see if the error 205 is still appear.

Note: you can enable or disable the Acer always connect to the portal of Acer.

    Hello @deepak9758,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having a problem of sleep mode and that he wanted to help you!

For starters, can you provide me with the product number of the laptop?  Here is a link that you can use that will help you find your model and product number:

How can I find my model number or product number?

In the meantime, try to review the next steps, posted by Member of the DanG82community:

    1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.
    2. Browse HP Software and Driver Downloads of the site (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html) to find the latest driver approved for your model. Filtrer filter by version, select Microsoft Windows 8.1 on the menu drop-down. Find the download in the category 'Driver-Chipset' If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is listed, download. [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe) works for most models.]
    3. If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is NOT listed, download the appropriate driver directly from Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=intel+management+engine). [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23091/Intel-ME-9-Management-Engine-Driver-for-Intel-NUC) works for most models.]
    4. Download the Package troubleshooting tool Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
    5. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
    6. In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
    7. Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
    8. Click on stop to stop the service to run.
    9. Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
    10. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver. If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
    11. NOTE: You don't need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10. The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
    12. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver. (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
    13. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
    14. Restart your computer.
    15. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  • My laptop Lenovo U310 touch of Windows 8 is unable to wake from sleep or left over an extended period. How can I fix it?

Whenever I leave my laptop alone for a while, or after I put it on the mode 'sleep', I can't use my computer. It freezes is or I can't connect at all on the main login page. I get an error screen (with a frowny face, oddly enough) who says my computer needs to reboot, and that I should look for DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE online.

This is a new laptop and my sister has the same as well, and I am very disappointed to have this problem with Windows 8, Lenovo, or one who is behind the faulty start upward so right from the start.  I looked at etc and previous discussions and nobody has had the same question again. I already uninstalled McAfee antivirus with the official uninstaller since my trial has expired, and I also have the error message "your system does not appear have with Intel's technology for fast ignition" on my desktop each time I connect. I think that I've updated my laptop once or twice since I got it. One of them would be the issue? Any help please?

    Aaariel,

I ended up sending my computer Lenovo also, because the store would not take it back.
They also replaced my SSD and now it works fine. I highly recommend that all send you it to the service department and do not try to fix it yourself. My computer wakes up really quickly now and actually starts faster than before.

    Thanks for all your help!

Updates had the usual problems so far, but most of the time, all works.

The main obsticle receives the wake function sleep to work ARD.

It worked fine with the old server ARD 3.5 but not with the new Server 3.8 ARD.

When you can't wake up a computer, have you checked to see if the IP of the computer matches the period of INVESTIGATION in ARD?

Have you disabled wake up LAN in the BIOS? In addition, you must also disable USB Sleep & Charge and wake up keyboard.

Check your BIOS for these options and disable them. For me, it worked! :)

  • How can I PREVENT Time Machine back on the wake from sleep?

I leave my machine on the work week and when I finished the night, I SLEEP there.

In the morning, he has no need to backup first thing. But Time Machine insists on execution from the moment I have a mouse and he wakes up from his sleep.

It was fine when it was new and fast, but now he is old and slow (especially - but mostly because I really push to the limit with multiple Safari Windows opens and executes a large number of software design at the same time, I have to do for work).

    My question is simple:
    How to tell Time Machine to does not have a return on the wake from sleep? or;
    Say this do not back up from 06:00 to noon? or;
Is it a third party plug in that allows me to customize the time Machine more?

Another idea on what just said or it to no return for even the first hour or two when it comes in the morning or even in any time to sleep during the day. Automatically.

I also have my drive main external file mirroring AND use Super Duper once per day to fool the internal drive (I total plan control) AND back up all files off site (I total plan control). But, Time Machine is also always at hand to get it done. If only I had a little control over it, so she did not have the necessary step back up the minute I sit down. Significantly slow down my work time productive morning!

Time Machine really shouldn't bog down your machine that badly.

If Time machine running interferes with your ability to use the machine, then something else is wrong. It shouldn't affect performance in this way.

If it's all just "annoying"... Well... Why is this a big deal?

Maybe you should run a report Etrecheck and post the results here. If something is moving your system, which can help us identify what it is.

Try to install the latest version on it. 1.62 should collaborate with the T500 however.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on an HP box bought less than a year ago.  A Hauppauge 2250 tuner card is installed.  The tuner card is connected to my Comcast Cable box by an IR transmitter.  The system worked well for months, but now I find that the IR Transmitter is not working after coming out of sleep mode.  Reboot and everything works well again.

How can I get the IR transmitter to continue functioning when the computer wakes from sleep?

first thing to do is to try a system restore to the last time it worked.

  • Fallout 3 stops working after the computer wakes from sleep

Since the games for Windows Live 3 is out, Fallout 3 has never been the same. He used to work at best my GfWL and now her nightmare. Recently, after that I quit the game and put my computer to sleep, Fallout 3 will stop working completely after wake up. I try to start it and I get them all is a cursor with a small blue rotating light. What is even more strange, is that my computer goes into a State of semi who no longer meet this point where programs and keyboard shortcuts no longer work, but I can browse my hard drive. I try control + SHIFT + ESC to see what the devil but that causes Windows Explorer to stop working. CTRL + Alt + Delete does not work either. No matter what I try, once I start Fallout 3 after the computer wakes from sleep, I can't do the task to the top manager and I can't use my computer. The only way to get it is to hit the reset button or turn off manually. Can someone please help to get rid of this problem?

    Hi murphy449,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. the problem only happens when you start fallout 3 after the sleep mode?

    3. are you able to wake the computer quits successfully sleep mode?

    4. What is the version of Windows installed on the computer?

    Method 1

I suggest that you manually download and install the latest drivers for display on the computer card and check if it works.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that you try the clean boot procedure to check whether a third-party program installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the previous step fails then I suggest you check the observer after return with details and events for the cause.
