Acrobat Crash - memory could not be read

Before all sorry if this has been covered before, I searched key words for my mistake, but couldn't really find anything of any help. I use Acrobat Professional 7.0 in conjunction with a VB6 program that calls acrobats JSO object to execute the menu item "Save" to save a currently open PDF (which was also opened through the JSO). The program works continuiously 24/7 and has no problem set apart from the wee hours of the night. To anywhere between midnight and 02:00 Acrobat crashes on the execution of the function "save" with the following error:

"The Instruction at"0x2d864aa2"referenced memory at"0x00000008". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program"

Any help much appreciated

Hi there, my God there a lot about this on the net.

OPTIMIZATION

I use Acrobat Professional 7 and * no * solutions in the following days fasting have worked for me.

Whenever I try to optimize a PDF via the menu, the program crashes, it starts to and the I get

«The instruction at 0x2d864aa2 memory referenced 0x00000008.» The memory could not be read.

and then when I look at the error reports - the name is not what everyone says - the plugin, my name is: acrobat.dll.

Optimization working via batch processing?

Uh oh...

What I * finally found * is as follows:

In the program itself, go to

Advanced--> optimization PDF. In the left pane, select 'Throw objects' and UNCHECK 'throwing out all other images.

Yay, in service again

I hope this helps someone else out there!

    ·         Have you had this problem with the game earlier?

Method 1: Check to see if there are patches available for the game. Log on to the Web site of the manufacturer for the same thing.

Method 2: Try to uninstall and then reinstall the game and check if this may help.

The laptop is a Toshiba XP.

We ended by wiping the machine and start from scratch.  It was a pain because we had to re - install all the other programs that was using the computer.

In any case, at the time, that the computer has been infected, there was only the McAfee that came with the computer.  He also had Spybot but it was not configured for continuous operation.    After that I followed the instructions to get rid of the Plus HARD drive, I've removed McAffe and then installed the Norton.   I have never connected to the internet after you remove McAffe or during the installation of Norton.  After installation of Norton I did the reboot and it's then that SVCHost problems appeared.

  • Application error memory could not be read 0 x 00000014

    Hello world

I would like to know if any of you have experienced this problem.

I run an application built by me in a computer with LabVIEW Run-time 9 in which I display a PDF file using an ActiveX control:

The target computer is running Adobe Reader 9.0.  Everything works perfectly until the application is closed.  From time to time (almost most of the time), I have the following error in windows:

«Application error: the instruction at "0x0ffd609c" referenced memory at "0 x 00000014".»  The memory could not be "read".  Click OK to complete the program."

Try to find the reason why, I found a few forums who say that the reason is a bug in Adobe 9.0 (in fact, I tried to run the application with Adobe Reader 8 and I can't make the same mistake).  Someone of you have had this error before and found a solution?  These links were not on LabVIEW and I have no idea how to get around this problem.

    Any help is happy.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dani

Who may be interested, I managed to find a workaround for this bug in Adobe Reader 9.0.

It seems that, somehow, LabVIEW and other programming tools, hang around with this version of Adobe (I guess it is because of this bug) when the reference to closing Adobe created by the ActiveX container.  That the solution will be closing "by hand" this reference, then saying Windows to release the whole relationship between the application (LabVIEW for us) and Adobe.  The idea is that when we did with VI which displays the PDF via ActiveX, we should close the reference to the ActiveX control, close the reference to the VI, and:

-process all Windows messages currently in the queue of messages (.NET: System.Windows.Form.Application-> DoEvents)
    -run CoFreeUnusedLibraries in "ole32.dll".

I hope this information can help someone, I lost too much time to understand this (eventually find the answer in an Adobe forum!)

P.S. P.S. for those who program in c#, check out this link; He was my source.

    Hi Dani,

    1. who is the edition of Windows that is installed on the computer?
    2. what game you try to play?

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Run the memory diagnostic tool
    a. see diagnosis of problems of memory on your computer
    b. Once you correct the errors, check if the problem persists.

Step 2: Check the game sellers website to see if there are updates or patches for the game and install it.

Step 3: If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game and then check the result.

Has anyone understood why a happends "memory could not be read question" after you have installed this hotfix rolled-up/cluster .net when you exit an application? I'm guessing that it is used by another process. If so, are there plans to deploy a fix for this patch? If not, other than uninstalling it (KB976576 is the question), is there a workaround?
