By definition, means a 'upgrade' (as opposed to a new installation)
that all data, programs, etc. are kept intact.

There is however no guarantee that it always works perfectly.
However unlikely, it is always possible that something can go wrong.
That is why he is careful to make sure you have a backup of anything
You can't afford to lose before you start.

What kind of program is it? What you describe is very rare.

  • The license sticker is for Vista Business and Vista Basic is preinstalled

I just bought a Satellite Pro L300, which was supposed to have Vista Business installed.

When I turned on the laptop and went through the initial installation of the operating system and configuration, Vista Basic installed, without ever asking me a license key.

The Home license sticker at the bottom of my laptop shows "Windows Vista Business OEMAct".

How to install Vista Business? There is no CD/DVD in the sealed box that the laptop came in so I have no extra programs to install.

I bought this model because supposedly I could downgrade from Vista Business to XP.

    Thank you!

It's really a case of contact Toshiba by phone or email, form (support/Contacts page).

  • Vista Home and Quickbooks

QuickBooks works on an older XP Pro machine but do not work with Vista Home OS. Cannot save new work with it and can not send information to Quickbooks.  It won't save new work added to Quickbooks to the thumb drive either. Internet and electronic mail works with Vista Home out of Quickbooks App. Tried to uninstall and reinstall Quickbooks records, but it won't always work.
I need to get Vista Ultimate for this to work?

See if your old version is listed as Vista compatible, or you need a patch.

Say the HP support? Often with an HP printer, the solution the easiest is to unplug the printer, uninstall the HP printer via Add/Remove, runDisk cleaning software and restart. Then download/install latest drivers/software from HP and only connect the printer when the installation says.

Of course its possible allways the printer failed.

  • Question multi-user QuickBooks Pro 2007 with Windows 7 64 bit

Running Windows 7 Home Premium. I meet a "error-6147, 0 is not a Quickbooks data file or there is a problem with the file" when you try to open a company file hosted on a 32-bit Vista computer. This only happens if the company file is open about hosting computrt. If the Windows 7-based computer opens the file of company first of all, there is no error... and then the host computer can open the file without problem. Hoping someone here has an idea... QB support came in white.

    Hi BigMrSteve,

Follow the instructions in the article and see if that helps

  • I have a desktop computer with Vista business I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and install Vista on a laptop that has XP Pro but is Vista capable.

Transfer Vista Business on XP Pro computer.

I have a desktop computer with Vista business I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and install Vista on a laptop that has XP Pro but is Vista capable.

    Hello

If you use the Vista licence as part of the upgrade to Windows 7 you cannot use the license of Vista anywhere elsewhere

It is part of the upgrade process

    and also read this on licensing rules;

If Windows was preinstalled on your computer, Dell, HP, etc., or you bought an OEM/license disk, they are both classified as an OEM license and are not transferable.

The Windows OEM license is linked to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a retail Windows license, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

Its Spartan laptap running vista business 32 bit pro... Toshiba and asus are listed as manufacturers and I have no idea which continues, I had this work and it was an old from my boss.

The build in webcam does not work.

I found a driver that fixed, but none where he dissappeared and now its still doesn't work and I can't me remember how I fixed it before. Why is there a free service offered by any manufacturer just scans and charge what you need? This Hunt the internets, while trying to not download anything destructive is terrible.

    (ms-16372 model #?)

    1.3 megapixel camera

    Vista business pro 32 bit

Cam does not appear in the bios or Device Manager... same as the first time... when I loaded the previous driver as if by magic, apparently. How can I know which is the right that there are 1000 of the drivers out there for this brand of cam (chicony I guess) and I honestly think it was an XP driver who actually does the work before...

    Hey Leakim13

as it's a webcam built into your laptop, you would normally look for the drivers and the software on the manufacturers Web site

you go find a drivers and software section key in your model number and download it install the latest available drivers software

and if do you repair do not install hardware 3rd party from windows update drivers
