  Therefore, check your activity monitor to see if there is a process of ps running.  If there is, end it.

  This is a known bug 'Dumb MS' and very simple to fix. It is simply that the installer wants to put a bit of a music (the standard windows sound) file in a particular place, and the directory does not exist on some copies of OEM Windows XP home.
