ActiveX

Hello

I was stuck trying to convert this VBA code in Labview Activex.

The VB code selects a range between two bookmarks in the document. Then the code VB, and then select the text that is between the beaches and refers to a text box. Evently, I want to put this text in a variable of Labview. But I can't seem to get this code base to work with activeX.

The following VB code:

Void Retrieve()

Dim ttext As String

Dim oRng As Range

Set oRng = ActiveDocument.Range

oRng.Start = ActiveDocument.Bookmarks ("row1col4"). End

oRng.End = ActiveDocument.Bookmarks ("row1col5"). Start

oRng.Select

ActiveDocument.Bookmarks.Add "oRng", oRng

TText = ActiveDocument.Bookmarks ("oRng"). Range.Text

MsgBox ("oRng") ActiveDocument.Bookmarks. Range.Text

End Sub

The VB code works very well, I can't find a way correct yo converts it into activeX.

Found the error: Sorry, I copy the VB code with sufficient attention and I left out a few knots.  This one works (I tested it).  I see not the selection get highlighted, but the message box contains the correct text.

EDIT: Oops, still a minor error - your VB code uses the beginning of a bookmark and end for each other, I used the end for both.  If you want an exact match, simply change the end to start for the Bookmark property.

    Built-in browser scenario

    It would be in the settings of Internet Explorer, not Firefox settings. I would check with the software publisher on what needs to be changed in this case. It may involve parameters for the hidden box 'computer' or other unusual stuff.

    Throw in THE script

    Try to make Internet Explorer your default browser to work around the problem. In this case, you can always use Firefox by starting it directly, but the links in other programs will open in Internet Explorer instead.

  • I have Windows 7, Adobe Flash Player 16.0.0.305 NPAPI and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 13.0.0.214. Should I have them both?

    On Facebook, the videos are choppy, Adobe Flash player 16.0.0.305 crashes. Issue of intermittent latency when scrolling on web pages. Use memory and CPU high when the shift occurs. I'll upgrade to Adobe Flashplayer 17. I'm especially curious to know if I need Adobe Flash Player NPAPI 16.0.0.305 both Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 13.0.0.214. They perform the same function? You must uninstall both of them and install the latest version of Flash, 17. https://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_17_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI & standalone = 1

  • Why when I open my camera Foscam, Activex mode, I have no picture, and I click on manage at the bottom, but ger javascript:adminstrator0. Why

    My FI8910W Foscam, opens after the Panel, with three modes to the choice. Only ActiveX in IE mode, working to allow records to do. Sometimes, back, right after that I bought this new laptop, a free AT & T program with McAfee, is available for AT & T users. But this soft, can be loaded in Internet Explorer, and something wrong with IE, it prevented from happening. I contacted AT & T Tech support, allowed the tech on my machine, and even he couldn't solve it. Then, he opens Firefox I already had and installed a program that makes Firefox actually act like IE, so that the McAfee software, can be downloaded and installed. He worked, using Firefox to replace IE, to download and install, but the spooler to print on my pc, went wrong, and would not work to use my printer. Tech Dell takes control of the pc, found to reinstall a full Windows 7 was necessary, and he did. Now, the works of print spooler, but the new facility, has removed the AT & T Tech software added to Firefox.

    That is a pain, but we need, for some sites, as for the Activex mode, with my camera. I tried pening mode ActiveX in Firefox, and it opens, but not picture. When I click on device management, to go into the settings, I can't. What I get is a little pop ball down to the right, that says "javascript:administrator0". Thinking that perhaps the Javascript has been disabled, I checked in the options and it's not so it is checked, enabled. I'm on my pc as an administrator, so now I'm stuck. Y at - there someone who can explain how to make it work, so I can use my camera in ActiveX mode, so I can actually record tings, if necessary, when I leave? Thanks in advance. Oh, my Win 7, a 64-bit OS, not the 32 if it helps.

    More than likely you have had IE Tab installed in Firefox before re-installing Win7.

  • I recently installed Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 - 11.4.402.265 and when I open my Mozilla Firefox browser I get this message flashing on my screen: '

    I recently installed Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 - 11.4.402.265 and when I open my Mozilla Firefox browser I get this message flashing on my screen: "Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working" and then "Windows is checking for a solution"

    It flashes several times then stops usually but not always.

    It happens every time I try to open a new page.

    I solved this problem by uninstalling Adobe Flash Player 11 and install Adobe Flash Player 10.3. However, now my IE browser again wants me to install Adobe Flash Player 11. Although I do not often use my IE browser, I DON'T have to use sometimes. Is there a Firefox 15.0 update to fix this problem?

    First of all, the Flash of the IE is totally different than the flash used in Firefox. You can update one without affecting the other.

    Now, there is a problem right now with Flash 11.3 and 11.4 in Firefox. Downgraded to 10.3 is an acceptable solution for the moment. Adobe publishes the updates (slowly) that solve the problems, but it is not a matter of time before they are all fixed.

    Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen

    11.3 Flash does not load video in Firefox

  • Control ActiveX Mozilla & Plug in causes of support 1.0.0.4 my XP machine to get slow way. Is there a problem with it? I had to disable the Add On.

    With this active Add On, the system seems to be cycling in and out of repeated calls to "verify" something, I guess, adding an irritating delay for surfing the internet. I've seen no detrimental effect to the deactivation of this Add On to this day. It happens on some sites worse than others, but most is affected.

    Plug th Mozilla ActiveX Control is causing problems, and Mozilla have taken steps to block. Over the next few days a blocklist update should automatically be downloaded, which will result in this plugin automatically blocked.

  • Portege R600-11b - cannot install Adobe Acrobat 9 - ActiveX problem

    I recently bought a Portege R600-11b and have tried to install Adobe Acrobat 9 on it by downloading it from the Adobe site.
    I spent many fruitless hours talk to Adobe to try to solve this problem.

    They concluded that my laptop is not compatible with the software.
    This isn't the case, that this laptop exceeds the specification of systems required in all aspects.

    The problem seems to be that it won't work ActiveX even after all the firewalls and anti-virus in disabled - I don't know hardly what to do - anyone has any suggestions please?

    > They concluded that my laptop is not compatible with the software.
    That s just absurd

    The Adobe Acrobat Reader software is a small application and can be installed on almost all computers and systems so that s certainly not a reason why you are not able to install this software.

    If this problem is related to the ActiveX, then you can change this in the settings of your internet browser.
    For example, using the IE7 you could modify this here:
    Tools-> Internet Options-> areas-> {}-> ActiveX controls and plug - ins area-> allow unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt

    You can also try to clean the operating system and the registry because the problem might be related to faulty registry entries.
    To do this, I would recommend using the free CCleaner tool.

    Finally and above all it s always advisable to consult the homepage of support from software manufacturers. Here you will find some documents on installation with the Adobe Acrobat Reader software problems.

  • ActiveX license Fixer

    I use the v6 of Measurement Studio for years.  On my current PC development since August 2004.  Today I started getting a message "you have 30 days to evaluate the ActiveX of measurement Studio controls. After this period, the controls work after only 5 minutes of the time of execution. "etc etc.

    I searched online and found a reference to what is called the "ActiveX license fix" utility  I have looked for this on my CD, but do not see it.  Where can I get this utility, or how else to solve this problem?

    My information of license card said 'Measurement Studio Standard Edition Win 2000/NT/XP/ME/9 X' (P/N 778802-3).  The CD says it's Version 6.0 500536F-00.

    I thought about it.  A few weeks back I turned on the source code of this project to a colleague for a cleaning.  His work station was only execution Measurement Studio controls, not versions of development.  When he opens some project files on their workstation, they apparently sniffed and connected to the performance of the controls, so calling it "assessment", even if it does not change the code bound to the Measurement Studio controls.  When I took the source code of my workstation, it was still related to these tests.  Even when I hid the tests on my end, I was still getting the message 'assessment '.  Solution was to open each file (forms and class libraries), change * nothing * in the file (as moving a pixel of a control and then move backwards), then save the file.  This forced a re - bind to the correct control under license on my local workstation.  I did have to remove and re-add the Measurement Studio controls in the source code, re - install the project, or anything messy.

    Well.  I won't forget this one!  Fix is easy now that I know.  I hope that the above explanation will benefit someone else one day.

    Note that I actually use these controls with Microsoft Visual FoxPro (used 7 VFP, now using VFP 9).  They work in similar to VB VFP, this is why I have posted in this forum.

  • Error 66: Function not available (ActiveX)

    Hi, I use an ActiveX library of motion ABB to interface with one of their drivers in LabVIEW. However, I get an error when you call a method of installation of the library which reads: "error 66 has been held at the Exception occurred in MintControls5822: feature not available in activex_basic_test.vi [...]» The network connection was closed by peer. " I'm not using the TCP/IP Protocol, so it is something you know with communication of ActiveX that could cause this kind of problem? Or is it a software problem that I need to contact ABB comments?

    For reference, I use the method described in Section 6.4 of the www.q-tech.hu/pdf/Baldor/MintMT%20PC%20Programming%20Guide.pdf to test my setup.

    Thank you!

    Nevermind, I think I thought about her. For those of you who get these types of errors, take them at face value: in my case, I tried to access a method that, for some reason, does not exist.

  • ActiveX (MintController): Error 1057 after liaison with driver

    Hi, I'm relatively new to LabVIEW and have tried to order a Baldor servo motor using Mint of ABB ActiveX controls. I spend a refnum of the ActiveX container in an invoke node called "SetMicroFlexE100Link" which sets up the connection to the e100 driver Microflex we use. It works very well. Just after that, I send the same refnum to another invoke node to get the status of relay of the driver and the program generates an error (see attachment image for block diagram and messages). According to this tutorial, what I should be enough, so I'm puzzled as to why I get these errors.

    Any ideas on what's happening would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I would like to start by installing the driver NI-VISA of ni.com/downloads.

  • Call ActiveX return big topic of the day, how to clear memory?

    Hoping to get recommendations on the removal of data from large memory size. Here is an equivalent representation of my block diagram (I edited the diagram to remove any intellectual property).

    Anways, the issue I'm facing is LabVIEW eat any available system memory when inside the loop for. Functions of the object ActiveX I use require a large variant data to be placed in the memory as input to the next function. Running this loop translates into LabVIEW throwing an error "-2146959355: Server execution failed" after that the memory is full.

    How do you prevent LabVIEW to use this memory? I did not need to keep the variant data, I just need an average of results after a set number of loops.

    You hid many things, I guess that for reasons of industrial property.  But actually that makes this call activeX?

    For me is it looks like you have a problem of activeX program, is not a problem of LabVIEW.

  • How to access an instance of an object through activex

    I try to retrieve data in real time to a FSA pressure mapping system and uses the activex of LabVIEW tools to connect.  I interfaced with hardware (can recover soap operas and others), but were not able to read real data.  The company programmers use Javascript for their programs and know nothing of LabVIEW.  Here is the info I got from them so far.  I'm reading an instance of an object through its activex reference.  Got out readings, I'm stuck trying to read an individual reading.  Thank you

    The InterfaceModule.Read method returns an object Frame. The framework
    object contains a collection of one or more readings (Frame.Readings).
    There is an indication for each sensor connected to the IM table. If
    they use a single mast, then the reading will be in
    Frame.Readings (0). Value of pressure of the probe is contained in the
    Property Value of Reading (Reading.Value (column, row)).

    So to take a read and retrieve the pressure for sensor A1
    (column = 0, = 0 line):
    ...
    Frame = im. Read();
    pressureA1 = section. Readings (0). Value (0, 0);

    Difficult to say without having the ActiveX library, but there is probably a method "Item" that will allow you to access a specific element in the collection. For example, with Excel ActiveX library you can get to a specific worksheet to the collection of sheets in a workbook by using the Item method, as in the attached photo. Note that you may need to convert the object returned in the appropriate type, depending on what is returned. For the Excel library the 'Article' method returns a Variant.
