AD authentication in problems Vi4

Hi, I used the same old command as 3.5 with "esxcfg-auth..." "and then added users with"useradd joe. "

However, every time I login with the account, it does not work with AD passwords. I made sure THAT NTP works correctly. Something changed in Vi4 regarding the pam.d file? Should I change one of these? I have 3.5 when you enable authentication ESX AD. I checked also "ActiveDirectorkerberos" is enabled on my firewall ESX. any ideas?

I had three problems, but because I had so much play with esxcfg-auth I have no idea how many of the problems, I was responsible

In my/etc/krb5.conf, I had specified admin_server as tuned to the incorrect port; for my environment we port 464. In addition, there was no specified kdc server, so I put our server KDC in. However, once I did, I could not telnet to port 88 on our KDC. I need to run this command, even if I had activated ActiveDirectorKerberos in my profile of security (via the GUI VC):

esxcfg-firewall -o 88,tcp,out,kerberos

I just did a clean an ESX4 host configuration, that's what I had to do:

/usr/sbin/esxcfg-auth --enablead --addomain=domainname.edu --addc=domainname.edu --krb5kdc=domainname.edu --enablekrb5 --krb5realm=DOMAINNAME.EDU --krb5adminserver=domainname.edu
/usr/sbin/esxcfg-firewall -o 88,tcp,out,kerberos

Who does everything I need, including using the appropriate ports.

    Do you have any software installed record cleaning? If so, uninstall it, registry software is known to tamper with Windows activation technologies.

    What's your date and time correct?

    Click on "Run as Administrator"

    At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

    When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

  • Custom authentication scheme, problem with LOGOUT_URL

    I use a custom database of authentication scheme in a 4.1 application. I have a problem when I logout, I use jQuery mobile because it is a tablet based application, and the navigation bar entry "Logout" is rendered using the following: -.

    The application appears disconnected OK, I turned around to my 101 login page, but when I try to reconnect the page refreshes just, if I try again to connect, I'm connected to OK (so basically users will have to try twice to reconnect after disconnection, while the connection when the application is started first works OK).

    When I logout and I return on page 101, the URL is: -.

    What I've discovered, is that submit it on the login page seems to use the old session id:

      1. User enters http://mike/pls/apex/f?p=1150:1
         -> Apex creates a new session and redirects to

         -> wwv_flow.accept with p_instance=168921246845801
         -> Apex authenticates user and redirects to page 1

    My solution to this problem was to change the page to page 1 model to

  • Not authentic "Windows" problem

    Story: My Dell Inspiron laptop has been running Windows Vista when initially purchased in 2009.   Dell has provided a free upgrade to Windows 7, and this upgrade went well several years ago.  Thus, the machine has been works well on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 for awhile.
    Don't know if this is important: a couple of months, I replaced the hard drive.   I did a backup/restore image for the operating system on the new drive.   I don't think that I was invited to return keys validation of Windows at this time here.   I had no problem and the machine worked well after the replacement of the hard disk.
    Now, all of a sudden I get a pop up window that says "this computer is not running genuine Windows.
    However, my Windows is genuine!
    I tried to solve the problem by installing the WindowsActivationUpdate.exe, but will not install.   I get the error message "update installation failed.   Information about the error - 0xC8000247
    I tried to get the Windows product key (from the sticker on the bottom of the laptop) via Control Panel/system/change the product key but it says invalid key!
    Something is clogged to the top, but I don't know what.

    Thank you for your response.    I tried several related suggestions and more did not help.   That seems to have solved my problem of Windows Update is reinstalling the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver as suggested by george1009 in your third link above.

    As for my Activation of Windows problem, I typed in the wrong product key.  I entered the key on the sticker on the computer, but it is valid only for Windows Vista (original OS), but not for Windows 7 (current operating system).  I found that my Windows 7 upgrade disk envelope and who had the key valid on it.

    You have only a single connector in your system? If this is the connector by default, its IDP URL is set to the FQDN of Workspace Horizon. Therefore, if you switch from Horizon Workspace FQDN, Kerberos authentication will not work.

    You can try the following?

    In the connector user interface admin, click the identity on the left navigation provider, replace the URL with connector FULL domain name.

    If you want to support both forms of auth - kerberos for internal users, name of user and password for users outside, etc, then you will need to install an additional connector. Please see the installation guide for more information on adding a new connector.

    I have a painful problem with Oracle 10 g Webgate. I use Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate to procted resource Apache. I have a custom authentication plugin problem. is not yet resolved (https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2549716).

    Now I apply patch BP9 for Webgate (Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_BP09_Patch_linux64_APACHE22_WebGate), now I have a new problem, I am unable to get the OAM login page when trying to access my resources to Apache.

    The Error Message in the browser is:

  • Authentication with Gmail problem

    Like many other users, not only on Firefox, Chrome and other browsers as well, I've been constantly do this message on Gmail for a few weeks... "Gmail is having authentication issues. Some features may not work. Try to connect to the problem. Connect again does nothing to eliminate the problem.
    I have only to open any email, or to try and access my contacts, so that the pop-up message. It is actually impossible to access my contacts while this problem is there. Google worked on it by all this time, no resolution, which would indicate that it is a serious problem.
    I wonder if browsers were corrupted and if reset Firefox can get rid of the problem. Can someone comment if resetting Firefox might work.
