• ADAM mode Linked VCenters db replication

  Hi all

  I have to total 6 VCenters in bound mode.

  I reinstalled on them today (using the same DB) and connect to this VCenters all are visible.

  But when I try to connect to one of the other 5 that newly installed VCenter isn't visible in the linked Group.

  Thus, when I connect to VCenter 02-03-04-05-06 are all visible together but all of them have no VC01 in the related group.

  VC01 has each of them.

  I checked with ADSI Edit on all 5 servers are 01 instance does not already exist.

  My question: How do I solve it? any way to force ADAM replication?

  have you tried to create a standalone, vCenter Server and change installing vCenter?  Once done, change again and join a group of modes related?

• Maximum number of connection brokers?

  I ran into some odd provisioning issues in our environment view 4.0.1.  After spending a bit of time stable and working with support it seems we have too many connection brokers and the issue seems to be related to problems of ADAM replication.

  My question is where if anywhere is there any limit documented for the number of brokers of the connection you can have in a single configuration of view?  I spent some time flipping through the installation guide and a few other documents for the view.  They list several maximum values, but I couldn't see any specific maximum number for brokers of the connection.  If anyone has seen this documented limit can you let me know the source?

  unless you can find something proving support evil, I take their advice and start to reduce the amount of connection brokers. We have a few VMware View environments, but our more great who has 2800 VPC connected to 3 instances of vCenter uses only 3 brokers.

  The problem is that if the support tells you to do something and you don't have, you kind of you push into a corner.  Reduce the amount of servers in connection to what is recommended and if the problem persists, you have the leverage to tell them, 'now that.

• RS 5 + VC 5 + ESXi 4.1, replication?

  I have a client who wants to use the new features of replication of RS 5. I know that it requires VCenter 5 and the compatibility matrix indicates that ESXi 4.1 is supported, however I can not find no confirm that SRM 5 replication will work with a combination of 5 VC and ESXi 4.1. Knowledge for sure?

• FPGA - try to use the screw of the replication of RIO to replace going to reset the FPGA running

  Running LabVIEW 12.1

  We have an application that uses an FPGA that was compiled in Run to Reset (works on any reset or power on).  Sometimes we need to update the image on the RT and FPGA and I downloaded the NI RIO replication screw.

  The problem I have now is that when I got to download the bitfile on the Flash FPGA on the sbRIO9636, I get the following error:

  Error-61141

  Possible reasons:

  LabVIEW FPGA: The operation could not be performed because the FPGA is busy. Stop all activity on the FPGA before asking this operation. If the target is in the Interface of Scan program mode, put in FPGA Interface programming mode.

  My updater is stand alone EXE.  He isn't able to get a link to the FPGA, because we are not sure what Bitfile currently is on a particular system.  I tried using the open FPGA reference and load a VACUUM on the FPGA bitfile by setting the FPGA to RUN when he sound the FPGA VI of the Open reference - and it works for me to erase the bitfile.  It does not allow me to immediately after run the bitfile VI of replication of RIO download - even if I close and reset the FPGA before trying to download the Bitfile for the RIO Flash.

  I have to first delete the existing bitfile, then load a new?

  Well, I found what I consider as a workaround - but maybe it's required to do things - but it doesn't seem like it should be, since the RIO device Setup.exe is able to flash or clear the bitfile regardless of the State of the FPGA.

  What I've done is to define the FPGA to "do not load automatically on re" then call the RT Config screw system and order a restart of the system.  The RT operating system restarts and then restarts the RIO system and this ensures that the FPGA is not busy.  Then I'm able to erase them or write about a new bitfile for the RIO Flash and set the "Automatic loading on any Reset" Rio de JANEIRO and restart the system again.

  Our current situation, it will work.  Long time restarts do a bit of headache.

  I have an old computer with LabView 8 that works perfectly with ADAM 4019 connected to COM1 (serial RS-232). The problem is I want to replace this with a new computer and when I run the stand-alone (including Setup) version the program works without any error messages, but it does not read anything the Com1 port. I can read the data by using the ADAM utility software.

  Can someone please help me find a way to solve this problem?

  I had difficulties in interfacing ADAM 4060 with Labview 7.0. I tested the device by using the utility software of Advantech ADAM and it works properly. So, its not the hardware error or failure.

  However, when I want the interface using Labview, I couldn't make it work. LabVIEW does not communicate with ADAM-4060. I try to use user libraries > Advantech DA & A > Advanve > SlowDIO > DioWritePortDword.vi, DioWritePortWord.vi, and also library standard srandard, COMWrite.vi

  Where did you find this instrument driver? I'm not on IDnet. What is the manufacturer? They may have more documentation?

  In the other thread, you will notice that it is simply a communication series. You may be able to write your own driver quite easily.

  If you want to spend the extra money for the DSC module and implement a HMI/SCADA system and communicate to the plc, etc., then go ahead and do it. Certainly, there is no need for a unique modbus device. If that were the case, I him wouldn't download the modbus library.
