Add captions feature in Windows Photo Gallery

On the photo gallery of pf INFO page, it shows a function 'add the legend '.  I can't work or find any help.  How is - a add a caption to an image?  Vista 32 bit

Thank you.

Mike

Hi Mike,.

Are you an error when you try to add a legend?  Add Caption function won't add the legend of the actual photo.  Just legend will appear in the details pane of the photo as a way for you to describe the photo.  If it does not appear in the pane of information within the Windows Photo Gallery, then everything works correctly.  If this isn't the case, please let us know so that we can continue to troubleshoot.  Please see using Windows and how the article below for more information on tagging and captioning to your photos.  Thank you and please let us know if you have any other questions.

In photo gallery captions do not appear on the face of the photos.

It would be better to make PhotoStory 3 or Movie Maker.

  • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

  • Remove the tags in Windows Photo Gallery

This question is about the photo gallery Windows on a Vista operating system. My question is about the drop-down auto-liste of tags that grows each time you enter a new tag. Handy if you want to use something you've used before but a nuisance if you want to erase it. I figured out how to remove tags on the pictures still on the computer. My question is about the images that have been deleted and is not recoverable. There is always this tag leftover junk that applied to these photos that I deleted. appears whenever you try to add a new tag and resists all efforts to remove it. I contacted gateway computer people since they installed the operating system and got the solutions really wild just to remove the unnecessary tags. I thought that everything you enter, you should be able to delete... just... but this has proved to be a great puzzle. I hate to have to do a restore to original factory specifications and lose everything I've added to this day to get rid of these pesky tags. In addition, it simply repeats the problem unless I have find how to remove the little monsters.

    I hope someone can help...

    Hi Jo,.

It's a good thing to be careful when you edit the registry.  In your case, as the registry key seems to be very specific to the Windows Photo Gallery, we can export the folder safely we are change.  Be sure to close the Windows Photo Gallery before you start.

    • Click the ball to Start .
    • Type regedit in the box start the search.
    • Navigate through the folders on the left at the following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Gallery\Library\PreviewPane\LabelAssignment\MRU photo

    • Right click on the folder MRU in the left hand window and choose export.
    • Give it a file name (no matter what you name it) and save to the desktop.
    • In the right window, you will see keys named MRU00, MRU02, MRU03 etc...
    • Right-click on these keys and click on delete.

Once you are finished, close the registry editor by clicking the x in the upper right and restart your computer.  When she returns to the top, open the Windows Photo Gallery and see if the tags are gone.

If you receive errors of ANY opening of photo gallery, simply, do a right click on the file that you have already saved on the desktop and choose Import.  That will undo any changes that we have made.

Please let me know if that helps.

Y at - it an easy solution for this?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Prefer W. Vista Windows Photo Gallery to w. 7 WindowsLive library

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit of a desktop computer. I largely prefer the version of the Windows Vista Photo Gallery to Windows Live Photo Gallery included with Windows 7. Why was something of broken not fixed in a poor and limited way? I am willing to remove Windows Live Photo Gallery and replace it with the version of Vista. Having both available would be acceptable. Or the other option is possible? Is there another program (third, perhaps) that provides the features and usability of the Windows Vista Photo Gallery?

    Hello

Windows Photo Gallery is not included in Windows 7. You can view and print photos with Windows Photo Viewer. To edit them, you need to install a program from another company or Windows Live Photo Gallery.

  • How can I send email to Windows Photo Gallery?

I use Vista Home Premium and Windows Mail.  When I try to send an email with attachments to Windows Photo Gallery and finishing of resizing photos,.

Select the photos to join, then click on attach I should aim to Windows Mail to complete the shipping process. However, I'm not directed to Windows Mail.

The message seems ready to send; However, there is no send button.  When I click on help, there is no mention of Windows Mail, all topics are on Microsoft

    Office.

Can you please tell me how to make Windows Mail appear so that I can send the message

It may be that WinMail is not set as the default e-mail program.  You can go to control panel | Programs and features (or control panel |) Par_defaut programs) then set WinMail as the default e-mail program.  Then see if it will send.  If this isn't the case, it may be that Photo Gallery requires a full MAPI compatible e-mail program and WinMail is compatible only simple MAPI and therefore it will not work.  I don't know that she uses, but I think it should work with WinMail.

To work around the problem, you can also just compose a message in WinMail, that attach the photos.  You may need to size yourself, but you can get www.irfanview.com (free) to do.

  • Dyed yellow Windows Photo Gallery

How can I get the yellow tint of the Windows Photo Gallery?  I had vista since it came out and all of a sudden my photo gallery has a yellow tint.  I have a samsung monitor, but the profile associated with it is sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1

    Hi Colleen01,

I understand that you are referring to article KB Microsoft 939395; did you follow the steps mentioned in the article?

This problem can occur because an incorrect color profile is used for the monitor in the color management device. How Windows Photo Gallery uses the incorrect color profile to manage the settings of color for the images

I suggest that you follow the steps (remove and then add the color profile) in the link below:

    Hello

    1. you receive an error message when you try to delete the photos from Windows Photo Gallery?

2 have you made any changes to the system before the show?

3 IS the issue limited to Windows Photo Gallery?

    4. are you able to delete photos or other files from other programs without any problem?

Please provide more information on the issue so that we can better help you.

Windows Photo Gallery is designed to automatically display the pictures and videos stored in the folder of images on your computer. You can change the contents of the Gallery at any time by adding and removing folders, which is convenient if store you some of your photos and videos in one location other than the folder of photos on your computer. You can also add pictures and videos to photo gallery without adding the entire folder.

Among the 400 photos that I put in folders on my desk to work with them using a much better Image Editor Windows Photo Gallery made thousands of photos and when I try to get rid of them in the photo gallery are removed from the computer. You are given no option to copy / paste only delete.

Warning: Photo Gallery is another way to view and organize your photos and videos. It displays images and videos you have stored in the images and other files on your computer. It is not a replacement for folders on your computer. Therefore, you must not delete the photos in the photo gallery or the pictures in the folder unless you really want to delete the picture from your computer. If you do, they will be deleted from your computer and no longer appear in the pictures folder or photo gallery.
