Add memory to HP ENVY 700-210xt 1.35v or 1.5V?

I intend to add a second module of 8 GB of RAM, and see that the module is already installed by HP is a Hynix CL11 1.35v module.

This motherboard supported 1.35v, or it delivers 1.5V independently?  So it is worth trying to find 1.35v RAM to match the existing RAM?   Which will help performance if the jury is really keep the tension?

My understanding is that if I add a second module and it is 1.5V, then the memory will operate at 1.5V.  Probably not an issue since I don't plan to overclock the CPU.   But just check

Thnaks for any advice.

If the module of memory installed is a Hynix CL11 1.35v module, then you will need to find an absolutely identical memory module to update. Otherwise, you take a risk of your PC does not start after the POST (power on self test). If the MESSAGE fails while the PC does not start in Windows. Upgrade memory by matching the card can only be a financial bet.

If you are unable to find an identical memory module, then remove the installed module and install a pair of guaranteed compatible memory modules.  It is the only way to update without problem. Use of well-known brands such as Kingston, Crucial, Corsair.  Memory of well-known brand manufacturers guarantee that their modules will work as long as you use the memory configuration utilities to identify what will work in your PC.

  • HP ENVY 700-210xt: how to reinstall after upgrade windows 10

I bought a HP ENVY 700 - 210xt delivered with Windows 8.1 and included a recovery for the same partition.  At one point last year, I used the free update of Microsoft to take the system up to 10 Windows.  As far as I know, it has no effect on the recovery partition.  Now, I met a hard drive problem, where the system will not start or recover.  My hypothesis is that I need to reinstall from scratch, but I have some problems.

    • If I order the HP recovery discs, they will be for Windows 8.1, but not my upgrade to Windows 10 invalidated the original license key?
    • If I get somehow 8.1 Windows reinstalled with the original key, can I still the free update me for Windows 10 of Microsoft?  I guess that their records show that I've already updated.
    • If I can't get this path to work, is there a direct way to return to Windows 10?  As part of the upgrade, I've never seen a new license key, but maybe it was and I never saw him.

    Thanks for any help!

Is there a method to add another connection sata for the 4th disc, or is the choice between a 4th disc or a dvd?

    Sure.

You can add a PCIe x 1 SATA controller card to your PC. Which will increase the number of available ports.

See the research I've done shows availability and prices. You should do a search the same locally for prices in your region of the world.

I've been running my desire 700-210xt with Win 8.1 almost without fail until about a week ago. Windows Update tried to install an update that caused my PC go into a bootloop. I was unable to perform a recovery of windows, startup repair, refresh, repair installation, no matter what. I ended up reinstalling Win 8.1 from scratch. I went another 2-3 days or more without a problem, has received another but Windows Update, once again I have this exactly the problem. You guys have all problems like this? • Add memory to HP ENVY Phoenix 800 - 070st - free space for the locations of memory behind the radiator.

    Hello

I ordered a HP ENVY Phoenix 800 - 070st with 16 GB of memory and is to be delivered Friday. My question is how much clearance is here to the sticks of memory in the slots behind the radiator and the radiator has to be removed for adding memory to these two locations. Will it take low memory footprint, or is there room for mem sticks with heat sinks. It won't be here until next week, if just trying to plan ahead.

    Thank you

    Gateb, welcome to the forum.

I can't find any warnings about any of your concerns in the specs of HP.  However, having said that, I suggest wait you receive the computer to make purchases.  HP isn't necessarily embracing third-party updates.  Memory performance with heat sinks can be very important, as you know, or you have asked the question.  Better safe than sorry.  Just my $. 02.

Moreover, it is a great computer.

PC3 is 1.5V, PC3: is 1.35v. That your system is actually PC3, just confrontation the channnels double and be happy.

  • Add HD 4850 video card in HP Envy 700-215xt

I want to add a Radeon HD 4850 HD-485 X-ZNFC video card in HP Envy 700-215xt (model: F9A62AV) whose video card (Intel HD Graphics, DVI - D graph) is too poor to run Samsung monitor (24in).  HD 4850 videocard needs connector 6 pin power, but I can't find the power connector or cable. What should I do?

The PSU minimum power, with a PCIe power connector 6-pin requirement is 450 watts.

Your PC has a 300 Watt POWER supply. Is not enough power for the XFX video card.

You must also upgrade the PSU to intensify your graphics card for a XFX HD4850 video card.

If you are unable to get a graphical output on the 24-inch display, then it is likely to be a problem with the display or the cable.  You may not be the entry configured to automatically recognize a video signal. You can test that by connecting the original display. If you get a video output to the original display there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or the CPU. Intel HD4600 graphics are provided by the CPU, not a graphics card.

  • HP Envy 700-074 Graphics Card problem Windows 8

    Greetings,

    I recently bought the HP ENVY 700-074 (http://http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us & dlc = in & lang = to & lc = in & product = 5371495).

Initial setup went fine without any problem.  I replaced the power supply so that I could add the graphics card from my old computer.  The power supply and graphics card worked perfectly for my old computer.  Feeding is a BFG Tech GX 550 watt modular power supply series.  The graphics card, I have installed is the Nvidia 560ti.

The problem is that, when I start the computer, my screen goes to sleep (as there is no signal) until the login Windows 8 screen lights up. At this time, my screen lights up and it is normally.  However, if updates or restarts the computer, the screen turns off again and he returned sometimes when loading the desktop computer.  I tried to get into the BIOS to see if I could disable the onboard graphics, but I have been unable to access BIOS because I don't see anything on the screen during startup.  I removed the Nvidia card and returned to the use of the integrated graphics card and everything is back to normal.  I managed to enter the BIOS at the time here, but I don't see any possibility to disable the integrated graphics card or use the PCIe as main display (unless I missed something).

I also noticed that Windows 8 shows I have 2 screens installed when only 1 is installed physiclaly.  My HP (HP 2009 m) monitor is listed in Monitor 2 and I initially had to go through the windows to get my HP Monitor to display the entire desktop (as it origionally extended from the start, the desktop computer).  However, number of monitor 1 is listed as monitor of generic cards.  Thinking that the computer used the non-existent monitor like main display when starting, I deleted the generic monitor than to have to reinstall windows.  I also tried to disable, but the problem persists.

I guess that there is a conflict between the integrated graphics card and the Nvidia card.  However, I assumed that the edge will be disabled automatically after inserting a card into the PCIe slot as the integrated graphics card watch is no longer under device mananger.

    Hello:

Have you changed the settings of the BIOS 2 (required) before installing the video card no HP?

  • Two questions on the HP Envy 700-230ea before you buy

I am looking to buy a HP Envy 700-230ea of PC World.  The plug that I saw didn't quite answer two questions that I have to solve before committing myself.

    1. the operating system is Windows 8.1 installed the 64 bit version (I need it to be)

    2. the machine is supplied with a 2 TB HARD drive.  But I need to add a second 2 TB HDD.  Is it possible to do it in the machine?

On your HP UK Site, I would say that it comes with 8.1 / 64 bit and it has 3 internal hard drive bays; 2 external optical drive bays.

Be forewarned of desktop computers HP ENVY do not come with a manual, just quick pictorial international owners set up guides, and there are no available records. The Windows 8.1 operating system can control, but for the computer itself no manual, it's like buying a new car, try to understand all the switches, levers and lights. Most are easy to understand, but some are not but I would like to contact PC World and make sure he has the 64 bit OS.

  • HP ENVY 700-149 freezing several times (graphics card problem)

Hi, I bought a HP ENVY 700-149 days ago and right out of the box it freezes several times every 10-15 minutes that it is in use.

Indeed, it appears a little error box in the corner that says:
"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver display driver, Version 311.41 stopped responding and has successfully recovered. »

Sometimes this box appears several times in a row (quickly) and the computer continues to operate, but more often it pops up this message and then the computer freezes and must be stopped and restarted manually.

In addition, it will crash occasionally to the 'blue' Windows screen with the message: "UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP" and the specific problem refers to "nvlddmkm.sys" which I googled and it has to do with the Nvidia graphics card as well.  The installed (from the factory) graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 with 2 GB memory DDR3 dedicated.

I installed all the updates that are available for Windows 8 and have checked the Web of NVIDIA website for updates for the driver but nothing is available and the problem persists.

Can I do to solve this problem?

    Hello

Your PC is under warranty. Not to be with an intermittent problem with a new PC.

HP has a 21 day return policy.  After that, it's a warranty issue.

  • HP Envy 700-074 model BIOS corruption, or bug, etc.

    Hello

My name is Patrick Barker, and I'm an analyst of the blue screen of death core Dump. During the last week, I ran into two users having a HP Envy 700-074 computer and experience the same exact bug check. The first time I met such a bug check, I imagined that the user may have simply received a system with a bad BIOS, things like this happen in computers all the time. Well, the user contacted HP and replaced it with the exact same model course, and he had the same problem.

Right at that time, I discovered another user knows exactly the same problem as the previous user. With a consistency like this, I wonder if there is a corruption of the BIOS and/or the bug associated with this particular model?

What is happening is that there is a frequency of verification of bug ACPI_BIOS_ERROR (a5) .

This bug check indicates that the BIOS Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) computer is not fully compliant with the ACPI specification.

    Error checking A5, {1000, 0, 80001000, 25}

The 1st setting has always been far 1000.

    1000 = ACPI_BIOS_USING_OS_MEMORY.

ACPI has been a fatal error during the processing of a region of memory operation. The region of operation memory tried memory card which has been attributed to the use of the OS.

This bug check usually appears in these 2 scenarios:

1 BIOS bug / damaged and must be resolved with an update or go back to the manufacturer.

    2 Rootkit (not very common).

In our case, it is #1. Exactly, what is happening? I can't be quite too sure due to having to have a version controlled ACPI.sys to debug such a question and with what is happening on another system user, I won't use them as guinea pigs. However, this seems a general problem from what I can tell about this model BIOS. For reference, a BIOS update is not currently available for this specific model, so not quite sure that the end user can do, especially if their systems of replacement of the same model have the same question over and over again.

    -----------------

Two threads where it occurs, I will update if I see anymore:

    1. Windows 8 crashes after being in the mode 'sleep' - Microsoft Community

    2. brand new computer under Windows 8 - 2 accidents in first day - Microsoft Community

Why I write this here? Well, on the one hand, I can't find a place to contact HP and / r supports directly without really own a HP machine. So, with that said, two questions:

    1. is there a way to contact HP directly on this issue?

    2. is it and/or any other person with this specific model of HP's have this problem?

    Kind regards

    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

This forum is mainly of volunteers, and HP has no official presence here.    I ask that your question is raised.  In the meantime, you or your client should open an official ticket with HP support.  These PC is still covered by the warranty.
