HP envy 700-210xt 8.1 windows update windows PC bsod crash

I've been running my desire 700-210xt with Win 8.1 almost without fail until about a week ago. Windows Update tried to install an update that caused my PC go into a bootloop. I was unable to perform a recovery of windows, startup repair, refresh, repair installation, no matter what. I ended up reinstalling Win 8.1 from scratch. I went another 2-3 days or more without a problem, has received another but Windows Update, once again I have this exactly the problem. You guys have all problems like this? I'm not sure what update is causing this issue but plan to reinstall again... And suppose that disable updates until I can resolve what is the cause. Any ideas?

I was actually able to fix my problem with this command from within the recovery console cmd

DISM / image: C: \ / cleanup-image /revertpendingactions

found a similar problem in this thread which lead to know what to do.  So well done to this guy... however.  After connection back and check the available updates I came across KB2930275, an update... which, after googling, it was, causing problems just like that on Windows Pro 8.1 specifically.  For now I'm good but shaped I'd share this update might be avoided.

  • HP ENVY 700-210xt: how to reinstall after upgrade windows 10

I bought a HP ENVY 700 - 210xt delivered with Windows 8.1 and included a recovery for the same partition.  At one point last year, I used the free update of Microsoft to take the system up to 10 Windows.  As far as I know, it has no effect on the recovery partition.  Now, I met a hard drive problem, where the system will not start or recover.  My hypothesis is that I need to reinstall from scratch, but I have some problems.

    • If I order the HP recovery discs, they will be for Windows 8.1, but not my upgrade to Windows 10 invalidated the original license key?
    • If I get somehow 8.1 Windows reinstalled with the original key, can I still the free update me for Windows 10 of Microsoft?  I guess that their records show that I've already updated.
    • If I can't get this path to work, is there a direct way to return to Windows 10?  As part of the upgrade, I've never seen a new license key, but maybe it was and I never saw him.

    Thanks for any help!

I replaced the power supply with Corsair RM 650 watt power supply that works very well. Now, I want to go to the graphics card EVGA 650 TI boost. Except, I can't get the driver to load with period of installed equipment. When I put the card into the PCI 16 x slot the computer starts with a blank screen. I pass the DVI video port old computer and the new port card white screen of same at startup. If I turn the PCIe port disabled in BIOS, it starts with the embedded video, but same thing impossible to load drivers that are not able to locate the new video card hardware. Makes me crazy! Hello world

    HP ENVY 700-029eb-computer for office

    Windows 8

A question related to the following message on my HP computer:
    -----------------------------
HP has not tested this PC with Windows 8.1
For this reason, HP is unable to update providence instructions or Windows 8.1 drivers.
You can now lose stability and basic functionality if you try to update your system.
    -----------------------------

A Windows 8.1 update could make the System unstable, so the message of HP.

But my computer is always busy preparing the update and guard asks me to do the 8.1 update.

So can I install Windows 8.1 safely on this computer? Or how to turn off the update?

We appreciate your comments and advice.

    GuyterB1964, welcome to the forum.

I do not understand these messages.  Here is the download page for software and driver for the computer.  As you can see, all the drivers for win 8.1 are listed.  They would not list them as much as they have not been tested.  I see no reason not to do the update.

  • HP ENVY 700-049 will be not updated to Windows 8.1 - 0xC1900101 - 0 x 20018

I recently bought a HP Envy, office 700-049 and have updated to the most recent Windows 8.  I re-downloaded and installed all the drivers for Windows 8 listed on the support page.  I disabled the LAN wireless in Windows (no way to do it in the BIOS I can say).  After that, I went to the App Store Windows and ran the 8.1 update.  The machine restarts and begins to set up the devices, but stops before the end with the SYSTEM_THREAD EXCEPTION NOT_HANDLED error.

    On reboot I give myself

    0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018

It appears in Google... and I tried common recommendations (install updates, install the latest driver, disable WLAN)... y at - it additional suggestions or I'll just have to hang tight on MS to fix this?

My wrist is tired of bouncing over the shortcut bar. :-)

Obviously, make sure you have the latest drivers and updates installed... but I managed to get through there.

I'm pretty sure that the Ralink Wireless card is the culprit.

In addition to the steps I have described here above I have disabled the integrated graphics card.  Also, I was going through a KVM.  I hooked the mouse, keyboard and monitor directly in... using the graphic adapter PCIx.   But I suspect that the following was "the miracle."

I had a set of screwdrivers on a small scale and a pair of pliers and took the Ralink wireless out.  It's just "above" where is the PCIx graphic card.  This screw was really in there... Please be very careful not not to strip out.  Once the screw is out, it appears out of the slot.  I just hid it near bays of drive.

With the offline wireless the 8.1 update succeeded.

  • HP Envy 700-327C: upgrade to windows 10

Windows 7 Pro (64) was preinstalled on my HP Envy.  It is configured to automatically install the Windows updates.  I have the app get Windows 10 and the icon appeared in my system tray indicating that I had booked the upgrade of the W10, but then he suddenly disappeared.  When I choose the upgrade of Windows in the list of programs all he used to reassure me that the upgrade of the W10 has been used, but now it's over.  The history of the update indicates that the upgrade to Windows 10 failed.  CIP 1 service is installed, and as far as I know, all the other critical windows updates.

  • HP ENVY 700-210 Desktop PC: Windows 10 improved rear output loss taken audio input on desktop HP Envy

Beats and all software audio apps work fine after 10 window installed. but I lost out in all but one of my audio jacks back during playback using any audio application (Media Player, Cakewalk, etc.).  I went to manage audio devices on the control panel and to configure/test the speakers/headphones and I went out on the set of the back to my speakers during the test; but, not for playback of audio applications.

I found a solution.  After the announcement of this question, I went through the different options for audio and put to update my sound driver.  Since I got a response from the Microsoft Community ( http://answers.microsoft.com ) forum which confirms this.

    > Go to Device Manager (press Windows + X, select Device Manager button.

    > Locate the audio adapter.  In my case, I had two entries for audio devices, "Audio inputs and outputs" and "audio, video, and game controllers.

    > I updated the driver for "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" under "audio, video and game controllers".   It worked.

  • HP ENVY 700-305no desktop PC: Bios update failure.

    Long story short (a little).

I got a virus, is a virus really means, crypt all my files, prevents the opening of antivirus programs and redirects the downloads.

virus survives 3 reset factory, 3 hard drive formats, and a reinstall of Windows.

This leads me to believe that he himself got into the Bios of my computer.

so I downloaded the latest bios for my system, in this case

Update the BIOS HP consumer desktop PC (SSID family ROM 2AF3)

through the Setup program on another computer, I installed the update to the bios of my USB,

inserted in my main pc, held down the Windows and key B, while starting my computer.

This led beeps and my computer Wrooms, 10 minutes later, nothing happened.

I decided to start the installer directly from inside infected computer, but this resulted in a failure too.

say that the downloaded bios is not compatible.

What I'm asking is how I should go about the removal of the old bios (possibly) infected and reinstall it again.

I'm not aware of a way to Flash the BIOS in Ubuntu, but it might be possible if there is a wine app in the version you have.  I have not experienced or read where someone else tried it either.  You could ask for more in the Ubuntu forums.  Don't know if it is possible to WIN PE 3.0 either.

  • Add memory to HP ENVY 700-210xt 1.35v or 1.5V?

I intend to add a second module of 8 GB of RAM, and see that the module is already installed by HP is a Hynix CL11 1.35v module.

This motherboard supported 1.35v, or it delivers 1.5V independently?  So it is worth trying to find 1.35v RAM to match the existing RAM?   Which will help performance if the jury is really keep the tension?

My understanding is that if I add a second module and it is 1.5V, then the memory will operate at 1.5V.  Probably not an issue since I don't plan to overclock the CPU.   But just check

    Thnaks for any advice.

If the module of memory installed is a Hynix CL11 1.35v module, then you will need to find an absolutely identical memory module to update. Otherwise, you take a risk of your PC does not start after the POST (power on self test). If the MESSAGE fails while the PC does not start in Windows. Upgrade memory by matching the card can only be a financial bet.

If you are unable to find an identical memory module, then remove the installed module and install a pair of guaranteed compatible memory modules.  It is the only way to update without problem. Use of well-known brands such as Kingston, Crucial, Corsair.  Memory of well-known brand manufacturers guarantee that their modules will work as long as you use the memory configuration utilities to identify what will work in your PC.

    Hello

I am a newbie to forums so hope I'm doing this correctly.  I received a HP Envy 700-074 office with Windows 8 for a Christmas gift.  I took my old computer xp shop pc to transfer data and everything was fine until this morning.  I received the following message appears on the display: scanning and no VGA or DVI signal found then goes to "sleep".

    Hi Kathy,

    Can you please check the following;

    (1) make sure that the computer is connected to the display with a VGA, DVI or HDMI cable...

    (2) make sure that the monitor and computer are powered...

    (3) make sure that the monitor and the computer has been turned on... you should have a light on both.
