After every time Adobe says: the problem is corrected and I will have no more problems, and that's not true.  The last time I was in the chat was last night and it reassures me, the problem has been solved once more and it worked today and tonight it's the same thing.  I am a student online and am so far behind that I have not been able to use my apps, Illustrator and Indesign as CC keeps having this problem.  I am very frustrated and I don't know what to do. If I go again being discussed, I know they will do the same thing and I am not convinced that they will never fix this problem.  They assure me this is not my computor but it is a corrupt file or something on it.  I pay a monthly subscription for the products that I can't even use

  The default behavior is. I just hold down the alt/opt and then convert the point at a point without handles.

  I guess that this time there is no confussion in your mind...

  to cut the story short, it's a problem generated by authorization on Mac problems. It is resolved by defining the whole Adobe preferences folder and its contents to be read/write, not just read-only.
  In Mac OS: [Drive] /Users/ [username] / Library/Preferences/Adobe
  In Windows [drive] \Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe

  also after you change these files for read/write, you must copy the files you worked on once again.

  As you can imagine, MenuItemExecute() is on the menu... running items these does ARE menu items that in Acrobat/Reader and NOT in any application based on an external window.

  What menu item you try to run?  Perhaps there is another way to access this feature?

  The number of 'bits' of the program shouldn't matter. Except in very rare cases, 32-bit programs can run on a 64-bit processor machine.  I put on the CD, the software came (or download), then right click on the Setup file and choose "troubleshoot compatibility" to see if a compatibility mode will allow him to run.
