  • Add-ons Manager does not list the Add-ons

I've updated to Firefox 6.0. Since doing so, the Add-ons Manager does not appear Add-ons (it is installed or those who have been disabled by the upgrade).

The Add-ons Manager simply displays an hourglass "Loading" and no progress.

A number of my modules was not suitable for Firefox 6.0 and were disabled during the production of process that the Manager screen does not load then I don't see a checklist of these installed or disabled. They appear in the troubleshooting information.

Make sure that the "Get Add-ons" tab is not enabled on the subject: addons page.

You can click on the tab 'Extensions' to see the installed extensions.

  • I found a Visual bug using the latest Firefox and several add-ons, who do I contact to talk about?

I would illustrate it rather using a screenshot that describing it. Anyway, I don't know what add-on, or a combination, but the first line under the 'View' menu bar element is empty, that's it - a minor problem. I do not know who to contact to display this glitch, is there anyone open to or interested by this feedback?

You can attach a screenshot here in your next post, if you wish.

We are interested, but you're going to have to help us. We are just a group of volunteers here balance our busy lives while offering support for Firefox. Since you already have all the addons installed, it will be much easier for you to understand who is the cause of this parasite.

This is no easy task for us. If you are going to need know exactly what addon is causing this problem if you want to be just about that and give a decent chance to resolve this to the author of the addon.

Since you have so many addons, I is advisable to disable at least 5 addons at once, restart Firefox and then check "Show" to see if the problem has disappeared. If Yes, then you need to focus your attention on individual activation & deactivation these 5 addons until you see the glitch to return. Then you know what addon to blame. I bet it's Menu Icons Plus or personal Menu.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is a compatibibility update available.

If this did not help, then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

You can also check the problems caused by a corrupt localstore.rdf file.

    Hello

Try to enter Subject: addons in your address bar and opening this link. Does it work?

Otherwise, it might be an extension causing problems, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • The Add-ons Manager does not load

I want to install McAfee siteadvisor, but I can not load the add-on Manager. I have win7 firefox6. I have the program on my computer and it works fine in Explorer.

The add-on Manager is responsible, only that you probably have the "Get Add-ons" Panel selected and ging the loading icon. Just look to the left and click on the Extensions and if return you to the "Get Add-ons" Panel later that it should load.

The Panel "Get Add-ons" can sometimes load slowly in the view of things addons.mozilla.org, especially on the first start, probably because of two people looking for extension. / theme updated with recent versions of Firefox 6.0/3.6.20, 2.3.0/2.3.1 6.0 Thunderbird and SeaMonkey and recent change on addons.mozilla.org

Try to look and check out the modules using the Manager of modules as follows:
Tools - modules leading to new tab opening, but all that is displayed is the loading with the timer animation icon. I've now left on for more than 45 minutes before writing this information.
The problem arises after the upgrade from Version 4 to Version 5 earlier this year.

I had this problem a few hours ago. It acts like the Add-ons Manager is "stuck" loading all Extensions and Plug-ins.

Try this "correction". (It worked for me.)
Restart Firefox in Mode safe (go to help-> restart with modules disabled...)
In Safe Mode to display the Manager of modules again. It should take over.
Verify that you can see the list of Extensions and Plug-ins.
    Manager modules, additional check updates.
"Restart Firefox to return to" normal ".
    Start the add-on Manager.
    It should load normally.

  • Add-ons Manager does not since I updated Firefox yesterday, no?

I've updated Firefox yesterday when the update has been proposed. Now the Add-ons Manager (accessed through the Tools menu) crashes. It says loading and icon spins, but it's never full load. I'm running on a Mac. Thank you.

I fixed that by clicking on the "Extensions" tab in the Add-ons Manager, then again to get the modules.
It seams that get the modules need time to load all the necessary data.

  • Add-ons - works does not after update

Since the update to Firefox 42, I had to refresh it and among a long list of other problems my modules do not work. When I click on tools > Modules I get the error message "cannot find server".

  • How can I remove an add-on that does not have the delete Option?

I have two Add-ons that are not remove a button as all my other do. Never worked with Firefox 5.0, but it was added when I downloaded a program. Also came it with a program and shows only turn on or off. I no longer use a program and I want to just get rid of these modules. Thank you!

Sorry for losing track of your question and not answer earlier.

    (1) you can uninstall all Console Java extensions in the Firefox Extensions list, because this extension is obsolete and has no function. If the "delete" button for the extension of the Java Console is not active or "grey", exit Firefox, reopen Firefox in the menu contextual (right-click) option "Run as Administrator", then try again. If this does not work, you can manually remove the unwanted extensions by opening the "extensions" Directory installation folder and delete the associated subfolder (for example, to uninstall the Java Console 6.0.25 extension, open the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\extensions\ and delete the subfolder '{CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0025-ABCDEFFEDCBA}').
    Reference:
    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions

    (2) the extension Plugin RealPlayer browser Record can be removed from Firefox by opening RealPlayer, going to "tools-> Preferences-> download and save" and unchecking the option «Enable Web download & Recording» Reference: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Extensions#Windows_Registry_extension

Removing the RealPlayer plugin is another story. Just disable or see troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems to remove manually. You can also uninstall the program RealPlayer itself, if you're not using it - see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program for help with this.
