Edimax in LabVIEW IP camera

Hello

I'm working on a better solution for my project. I use an Edimax IP camera (model IC - 3110p) I currently streaming using VLC X asset control and then call the node to add the target and play the stream. I was able to find the raw video stream, and I use that as the uri in the control. My project also includes the startup OR Robotics 1.0 kit which has a compact single board RIO on I looked into this as a solution as well, but I think that only the Basler cameras and Axis Network are supported on Compact RIO. The video is streaming OK but I had a lag in like 2 seconds, which can cause problems when I add it to the robot. I was just curious to know if anyone had any other suggestions for this problem. (buy a new camera is not is an option I've tried cheap school). Also, I tried to get audio through VLC as well. When I give the node invoke my raw video (currently http://URL+/mjpg/video.mjpg) disseminates IP camera but let that audio and the invoke node will not accept the URL directly.  I'm relatively new to the acquisition of vision in LabVIEW and this is my first post a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Gil

P.S. I do not attach the code I got so far!

Hello Gil,.

Sorry, I completely missed that you posted your code immediately...

I had the chance to try to run your program, and I also saw that there was a disconnect. However, when I tried to start the stream in VLC in itself, I saw again the offset. This makes me think that the shift is from VLC and not communication between VLC and LabVIEW. When I tried typing in Measurement & Automation Explorer directly, there was no lag.

Most IP cameras are not supported by IMAQdx and therefore wouldn't appear in MAX. However, there is a 3rd party utility that can emulate an IMAQdx device based on network flow, of an IP camera, which is contained in this knowledge base article. I suggest that you try to view the stream to the MAX to see if you still see the shift. If there is no lag, then the issue is definitely with VLC or stream.

    Hello

I'm looking for a driver for LabVIEW for camcorder Sony SNC EB600B.

I need some basic functions like change the frame rate, resolution, taking photos and video streaming.

All this is supported by the web browser, but I would like to try to continue some LabVIEW programming.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

In case someone each branch Sony SNC-EB600B or such with engine IPELA and wants to interface with LabVIEW

At least get somwhere with the image still grasping.

I found the link very useful here, which gave me the idea what to do. Then sniff the ethernet with wireshark and get the url of the feed of the camera was also crucial.

The URLS are (at least in this camera):

    still images

    http://ip_camera/oneshotimage1

    water courses

    ImageCodec1
    http://ip_camera/Image1

Now for access to the I did it via the HTTP client, for still images now. See attached Vi.

So now at least I can read the images, which is essential for me. The video stream I can see in the browser so that's good for now.

  • Several cameras simultaneously on Labview

    Hello

I'm new to Labview programming, so it would really help if you guys can help me...

I have an Exchange virtual server and 2 GigE cameras and I have developed an inspection using Vision Builder program, that works perfectly for what I need. The thing is that I have to run two cameras at the same time - as two tasks at the same time - and I realized (with support) that it is impossible to do such a thing with Vision Builder. So, I have to do all this work on Labview now...

At the moment I can't use the Exchange virtual server, so I'm with a RESUME, to test... I use a scA640-70fm and a Basler A631f, the two IEEE-1394 cameras. So here is my question:

To make both cameras working at the same time, is there enough creating two simple While loops and put the Acquisition of the Vision of each cam function inside of their? Is it supposed to work this way?

because when I am doing this and spin, I don't see on the face before Labview two cameras running at the same time! It seems odd, with cameras acquire images that the other and images sometimes disappear... looks like it does not process images at the same time.

I'm doing something wrong? Should I take another procedure to make it work the way I need?

Should I have problems when I perform this procedure on my cameras GigE with EVS?

Thank you so much in advance...

You are correct that Vision Builder AI is sequential in terms of how he runs the individual steps. Algorithms in these steps and how they execute can take advantage of multiple cores to help them run faster on machines with more than 1 kernel, so in that sense, some steps may take advantage of multiple cores, but several steps cannot run at the same time. This does not prevent several images acquired since the same trigger to be treated so. The stages of acquisition supports an immediate mode, which means that if two cameras were triggered at the same time, even if the steps in order, the pictures, they come back can come at the same time in time and you can use the step select an Image to switch the image you wish to treat. It should be benchmarking of your inspection in VBAI on the Exchange virtual server (much faster than CVS) before moving on to a parallel architecture more complicated in LabVIEW with several loops of execution simultaneously.

One reason your previous test with several loops may not have worked, is that you may have named the image that you have created with the same name. This basically means the acquisition of two loops would be overwhelming each other images. Make sure that when you use IMAQ create, you provide a unique name for each image. Another suggestion for how to ensure hourly LabVIEW each loop on a separate processor is to do two under the screws that are configured for different delivery systems. You can set this by going to file > VI properties > run > favorite Execution System on the VI and selecting the different systems.

Certainly, you should be able to have several running in parallel loops in LabVIEW, but before jumping to this approach, it may be worth benchmarking of the VBAI solution first because this will make it easier to make changes to the code, and it provides steps to high level who don't have to worry about things like having unique names for the images.

The comment above about the parallelism of the loop For is useful if you want the same code to run in parallel, which you can't do because you're acquisition from different cameras. He'd also manipulation of the results of different cameras and disguishing which translates to go with what more difficult camera. That's why I recommended the VI sub running in various delivery systems as a more flexible way to ensure that you take advantage of both processors.

    Hope this helps,

  • IMAQdx mind traffic on the second NETWORK card

    Hello!

    My system:

-Labview 2011 SP1 with NO Vision and IMAQdx

    -Windows 7-32 bit

    -2 NICs (Intel Pro 1000)

On a NIC (subnet: 192.168.0.x - Intel pro driver) a sick Ranger is connected. Store it works with Studio of sick Ranger or the Labview Toolkit Ranger.

On the second NIC (subnet: 192.168.1.x - Realtek dreiver) a Vision of Basler GigE camera is connected. It works with the grun80 pylon Viewer and IMAQdx GigE functions in Labview.

If I start the acquisition of two cameras using the Studio store and Basler pylon Viewer (no Labview) both cameras acquire images at high speed without any interference.

If I use Studio Ranger or LV-store Toolkit for the Acquisition of store it works selection UNTIL I have start a Labview VI containing the screw IMAQdx to acquire images of the Basler camera. As soon as the VI performs stops Acquisition of Ranger and Ranger loses the connection.

I guess the driver IMAQdx is somehow interfering with two network cards.

Suggestions how to exclude one of the NICs of IMAQdx driver or can someone tell me what is happening on the network driver layer when loading of IMAQdx?

The purpose of my request to LV, is that both cameras can be used at the same time!

    Thank you!

  • 201003 - USB error 6009

    Hello

IM using the USB-6009 to recover my data.

After a 6 month break, when I ran my VI

A dialogue box that says "loading lvlib" arose before the opening of the VI.

When I run the VI I get an error '201003' (Image 3) (it was working perfectly well before)-the only change is the upgrade of windows 8.1 for windows 10. (My Labview Interface with adurino seems to work very well)

I looked at the following links for more information-

    1. http://www.ni.com/white-paper/52818/en/

    2. http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-15.5.1/6100/en/

I've updated my drivers NI DAQmx, but not the same error.

When I look at the devices and inetrfaces - the status shows "absent" (Image 1) - after updating the driver, "ASRL 10::INSTR LPT1" said as 'away' status (Image 2)

When I test the single device - it removes.

I'm a little confused as to what to do next? I should return to windows 8? Should I reinstall the USB-6009? Am I missing something?

    Any help would be great.

    Thank you

Thank you attach your VI and providing additional information.  Here are some facts that might clarify things for you.

    • The only version of LabVIEW which is certified for Windows 10 is LabVIEW 2015.  LabVIEW 2012 came out 3 years before 10 Windows, and is not certified to run on this OS.
    • If the USB-6009 case works with LabVIEW, when you plug it in, MAX (measurement and Automation Explorer) should "wake up" and offer to set it up for you.
    • If you don't have MAX on your desktop, then you certainly won't be able to run your VI.  If you do have MAX, you should be able to open, see your USB-6009, open the test for her panels and manually set to acquire data on an analog channel.  Try a continuous sampling at 1 KHz, 1000 points - you should see a 'noisy' plot change once per second.

Assuming that my assumption that you try to run your code on a PC running Windows 10 that is correct, I think you have two options:

    1. Start with a PC running Windows 7 x 64 (think Re-imaging your PC 10 Windows, if necessary), and then reinstall LabVIEW 2012 (32 bit).
    2. Continue with 10 Windows PC, but install LabVIEW 2015, DAQmx including (from device drivers).

Looking forward to learn more about your system, including (a) if my assumptions are correct, (b) what path you chose to try to get this to work, and (c) what happened.

  • IP camera adapter / Labview

    Hello

Now I'm trying 2 cameras andorid in labview using the IP camera adapter installed in the PC interface.

I managed to interfacing with a camera in labview, it worked!

the problem is that I couldn't find a way to put 2 IP addresses of both andorid cameras I have!

Y at - it deals with any other software that leaves me more than one IP to the interface? or how to manage the software at the interface of two cameras (2 IPs)?

    Thank you very much.

Now, I think I understand what you are doing. You have followed the instructions on this Web page: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3D9CEA3E7B26FA4586257A56004E4507?OpenDocument

The problem you encounter, it's that the IP camera adapter supports only a single IP address at a time. I don't know what this software does exactly and there seems to be anything in the documentation that explains how to make more than one camera at a time.

Also, I'm sorry I wasn't very clear in my instructions. You must create the INI file to the specified location. It is enough to create a text file and include the text I mentioned. Save it as IPCameras.ini. Now, see if the camera stands as an option to the MAX and LabVIEW.

  • Improve the resolution of Image of USB camera in LabVIEW

    Hello:

I am currently working on taking images in LabVIEW using a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 USB camera. I have attached the simple VI that I use. For some reason, LabVIEW is no longer able to take a picture of resolution 640 x 480 with this device. However, its capabilities are well beyond that. According to me, it can reach a resolution of image fixed of 1920 x 1080. How can I get LabVIEW to snap a picture at 1920 x 1080 with this device? I have attached a jpg of the VI.

    Thank you in advance,

    Brad

    Brad,

IMAQdx functions will not displayed either because you have not installed IMAQdx or they are not allowed. Both come on the setup of the Acquisition of the Vision, but are separate elements that can be enabled/disabled during installation. If you use the Vision Development Module, you should have a license to activate the IMAQdx as well. Check with the License Manager AND verify that it is authorized.

You'll really like using IMAQdx much better than IMAQ USB functions. There are many more features supported and it is fully supported in all software OR, as measurement and Automation Explorer. You can configure your camera inside MAX settings and then save and use them in LabVIEW automatically.

  • LabVIEW for control unlimited, a camera and a light meter (Minolta T - 10A)

    Hello world

I'm totally new in the use of data acquisition software, but I found out, I use LabView for continuous measures (intervals of 15 min for 1 month or maybe more), the thing is that I need to get pictures simoultanously (Canon camera EOS) and illumination (in lux) device: Minolta T-10 a vision series T-10MA. My question is what software LabVIEW do I need to buy (or my institution actually) in order to get this. I look at the options of LabVIEW software and cannot understand what is needed. Subsequently, I guess that I need controllers for each of the devices (minolta and canon). Can you please tell me if this is possible and how to do it. I would really appreciate it.

    Steph.

The following items are required: LabVIEW full, all drivers of devices (including DAQmx and pilots of the Vision) and the Acquisition of Vision software package.

The Minolta luxometer has a connector for a PC and some communication software (which I did not inspect) which, I suppose, would allow you to take readings.  There is a comment about current if the USB cable is connected - I don't check if there is a power connector on the luxometer (since you will need to leave it plugged in for a month, the same problem with the camera).  As far as the camera is concerned, I don't know if it is controlled from a PC - my experience has been with (the size of 640 x 480 pixels) video cameras, which are probably controlled by LabVIEW.

As for simultaneous readings, it is something that LabVIEW did pretty well.  I advise you to consult a professional if it's anything other than a school project, maybe even hire someone to work a few week of.

  • The trio of Labview, card PT and Basler A - 610 camera F gray

    Hi all

I'm doing a project on the merger of the camera with a PH d teacher. As I am the research assistant I can make all preliminary ups. in any case its very annoying that I'm stuck on the first step. Which is simply the video detection from one camera on LabVIEW. The equipment I use is an A-610f "basler" firewire camera, a gray PT 1394b PCI Express Card (http://www.ptgrey.com/products/firepro/index.asp).

The basler connects with gray map of PT via a firewire cable. Now that the card is not an OR product it is not shown in the MAX I just need to get the video of LabVIEW, but I don't know where I have to access the camera from.

I'm using LabVIEW 8.2.1 and I Vision Assistant and Toolkit Vision and Motion installed on my machine. In addition I just download demo version of the Vision Development module as well. Again for the clarification that I just need to acquire video from my camera.

Finally ive it resolved myself!... .. The main problem was with the son of the late himself! .. I was amazed when gray pt was charging me $75 for a firewire cable because it was available in my country of origin for Rs 250 to the free market. I bought one and then started five days of immense struggle and re struggle. Finally, I thought that ive tried all means why not give it a last try and buy the original cable. I borrowed it from a firm surface and 'khatttaaaaaaak'... it works! Although I had to install the SDK of basler to view the video stream. Once the entrance to the camera was visible on the SDK. It was smooth then leave. IMAQ Max was able to detect the camera. The right software was all that remained to be installed. Once the right software has been installed using MAX. It was all great. The power of the camera was visible on max as well. I opened the Vision Assistant and he began to take the camera feed as well.

I decided to transfer to another device in the PCI card and hooked to another quality firewire cable. The repeatition of above process ensures that the camera is fed was visible on SDK, MAX and Vision Assistant. Although permitted high-speed bandwidth continues to be a problem. Another problem which forced me to bite the nail outlet there is over and done.

Moral of the story: use the original substance

  • Camera USB LabVIEW 8.6 problem

I'm new kind of LabView.  I'm working on a project of image editing, but I have problems with a camera USB and LV.

I installed the NI_IMAQ file USB, I the NI Vision module.  I read the "NOR-IMAQ_for_USB_Camera_User_Guide", but I can't find that they use the numbers (fig. 6).  I imagine that the writer may have used a slightly different version of the LV, but I can't find anything in my icon palette that has a "USB Grab of acquisition".

When work to aid the Vision Assistant, I am able to capture images of my USB camera so I know it works, I can not set up as a VI.

  • Camera works to the MAX, but not in LabVIEW

I struggled a lot with getting a camera DCC3240M of Thorlabs working in LabVIEW. The software supplied (Thorcam) works as it should. However, the LabVIEW SDK does not work as it should, it gives an error 155 "the operation is not supported.

Instead of the SDK software, I tried the drivers for DirectShow and now the camera arrives in MAX and works as it should. He also appears with IMAQdx list Cameras.vi and in Vision Acquisition Express vi. BUT when I try to run IMAQdx open Camera.vi or the Express vi it does not work. Open device gives a DirectShow error code 0 x 80040275 "no capture hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding." And when I try to select the camera in the express vi, a red icon is displayed and I can only choose "Cancel":

It's really very annoying that the camera obviously work with the drivers provided, but I can't use it in LabVIEW.

I would be grateful for any ideas what is wrong. I'm running LabVIEW 32 bit on 64 bit Win8.1.

    Problem solved!

I carefully removed all the drivers that came with the camera and then I installed the drivers from manufacturers (IDS) instead of Thorlabs drivers. And now it works, the camera always appears in MAX and it does not work. But now the supplied screw. I'm so happy. It took me a week to understand.

  • Camera compatible LabVIEW

Edit: I just found a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920.  USB webcams are compatible with labview?

I created a VI that distinguishes the difference between 2 images.   I already bought a Foscam wireless IP camera to take the pictures, but it is not compatible at all with LabVIEW (cannot make a .icd file).

Is there a security/webcam/camera HD (about 1Megapixel) camera that can be used in conjunction with LabVIEW? Ideally, a USB camera would work with a long extension USB cable.  I searched everywhere and can not find a device that can work wil LabVIEW and is reasonable in price (~ $ 100).

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello Virginia,.

I am pleased that this information has been useful, one thing I wanted to mention is that USB 3.0 has its own standard USB 3.0 Vision which is currently not supported. If this camera is also Direct Show compatible then you will be able to acquire an image using IMAQdx and manipulate all the attributes that are published to the API Live Show.

I hope that USB 3.0 Vision will be supported in the near future, and we tentatively announced for this standard of communication for the August 2013 Vision Acquisition Softwareupdate.

    See you soon,.
