  I had this problem because of the existing data. My question is in my table, I want to add a unique two-column constraint, but I can't add this due to existing extensible data. And I can't do a repair data for correct extensible database since the customer is completely on these data so that we can not the decision to repair the data.
  
  As a solution, I have try this method by adding a function to check the data repeatedly before inserting data into the table. It works fine for a user, but when it come to multiple users, it does not work because users can connect to the database and can make their transactions at the same time.
  
  My question is; is there a way of oracle to add a constraint to data that may add in the future not to the old existing data?

• Selection problem lines/cells in a table in Indesign CC

  I have a problem when you try to select rows and cells in the tables created in Indesign CC. I use a Macbook Pro with OS x 10.9.4.

  As you can see if all goes well the image attached, I'm unable to select lines and cells properly. Believe it or not, the attached image shows the last 2 rows in the selected table. As I drag the cursor to highlight the cells/rows I want to highlight section jumps around the place is not clear which section of the table is actually selected.

  If anyone has any suggestions as to what could be the cause I would appreciate your thoughts.

  I think you should be on 9.1, this problem exists in this version and has been fixed in 9.2.1

  I would recommend that you upgrade to InDesign CC at least 9.2.1

• Dreamweaver keeps adding an additional line in a table cell

  I'm not sure why this is happening, but for some weird reason, the second column of the first row of a table always has the text starts as if there is a blank line. I checked the code to see if something has been inserted by accident, but there is no break line or anything else between the td tag and text in my table cell. I checked the alignment and vertical alignment of the cell is set to "high".

  In the editor, everything seems normal. But once I go to see live or download the file on the web, the blank line appears in the second cell of the table.

  I think I found the problem. In Design mode in the properties box, a column has the value Format paragraph and the other was set to None. Unifying it on all of them seems to have solved the problem.

  Of course; You can create new triggers for tables which have already stored. The type of trigger and the number of lines already in the table do not matter.
  Try it. If the trigger works with a small table in your development database, so there is no reason to believe that it won't work on a larger table in your Production datbase.

  You don't say what you use the tool...

  If you use the traditional import utility (imp) then you can tell him to ignore the fact that there is already a table: IGNORE = Y.

  The condition after the keyword CHECK must be in brackets.
  To add a CHECK constraint to an existing table, I think that you must change the column.

• Value of the cell in a table cannot access

  I'm not much more expert in oracle apex. Please help me with this problem.

  I use APEX 4.2.

  I have a master form (FORM1) where I have some text fields and a tabular presentation where the data in the child table to appear (product ID, product name). Each line has a check box.

  I added a new button in the region in a table. I want to make is that:

  Select a line in the form of tables (per box), and then click the button

  System must open a form (FORM2) with the ID and name pre-populated from the line selected tabular form (FORM1). In other words, I'm wearing on data from cells in the form of FORM1 to FORM2.

  I tried "with the value" which is one of the option Button in the apex, but in this case, it does not work. because the cells in a table of master / detail are not recognized as part of the page (meaning fields text beginning as P1_Details, P1_Total. etc, but the name of tabular form fields begins without page number as Product_ID, Product_Name)

  Sorry for the long haul. I tried to explain as much as I could. Please help me.

  The easiest way is to change the boxes to use the links. You can format the column link to direct to a page with the values from the current row. It's about how master detail, you already have should work.

  If you must have check boxes, you will need the user to select more than one face. I would like to option buttons if you need to have the user select the line and then click on the button.

  To get the selected value, you'll need javascript or dynamic action and is very well the link Scott.

  How many rows do you think that this query will retrieve?

  Why not just

  Is there an easier way to search a text / word of a string in the row of cells, and where a match is found back a header text - see the example below.

  

  The left table contains the initial positions of conformity in groups of companies. I would like to complete the table on the right with compliance positions indicated in the table on the left, using the header text (red zone). Example 1 shows that "C company" is not in line with the left table and returns a "Non-compliant" in the relevant cell for company C. Example 2 A company, C and Z are in line with the left table and returns "comply" in the relevant cell in company A, C and Z respectively. It goes the same for the partial.

  The lines must also be aligned as shown in the left column will contain a single reference (not shown in the example).

  My current approach was to simply build a small matrix and use IF (COUNTIF ($E5, "* company A *" "'), 'In line'," "") - this works fine, but is a bit messy - obtained above table, it's really what I like o would reach.

  I also tried to use nested 'FI', 'find', 'Index' and 'Match' combinations, based on a few positions at the beginning, but not could not get the correct syntax.

  Would appreciate other solutions for the construction of the table to the right.

  I'm working on Oracle Utilities applications. I'm not a guru on the development of the database.

  There is an existing table with the following fields:

  1. DocVersion
  2. UIDContract
  3. StartTime
  4. StopTime
  5. Volume

  The first 3 fields are used to the PK.

  The function of this table to follow how much volume is linked to a Doc version and now with the change of the volume associated with the new SelNumber field.

  Now I have to make a change and I want to add a new field: SelNumber.

  There are two situations when a record is written to this table:

  1. existing situation is always necessary: then the SelNumber field is not filled in = NULL
  2. The new situation has added: the SelNumber field is not NULL.

  What's not now, it is that, in the new situation, the first free fields have the same value, only the SelNumber is different. So the first time a record is added to the table. But the next this record is replaced with the new value.

  I can't add the SelNumber field to the PK because in the first situation is NULL and a field of pharmacokinetics cannot be null, or...?

  So how can I resolve that I can add a record to the table the PK fields have the same value, but the value SelNumber is different, and in the situation, the SelNumber is null? Is it possible to make a unique constraint on the SelNumber field that has the value null or a unique number? Or is it a stupid thought?

  
  

  The alternative is I think, to create a new table, but on the other hand, I think that it should be possible!

  Please can someone help me with this problem I am facing in?

  I don't think you can do what you want with a Primary Key constraint.

  You can, however, create an index based on a single function, where the index values are all NULL when SelNumber is set to NULL:

  CREATE UNIQUE INDEX table_x_uk

  ON table_x

  (NVL2 (SelNumber, Docversion, NULL)

  NVL2 (SelNumber, UIDContract, NULL)

  NVL2 (SelNumber, StartTime, NULL)

  SelNumber

  );

  It will not not no constraint on the lines where SelNumber is set to NULL, but, if SelNumber is not null, then the combination of all 4 columns must be unique.

  The table is already partitioned? If so, after the DDL.
