  VCops 5.6 I can see that the generic dashboard can act as a receiver widget.   However, I can't figure out how to put in place to receive data and at the height of the selected metric.  For example, I would like to have 3 parameters of cluster displays the dashboard then choose a cluster to the health of the company and have it change the settings to use the selected cluster.  I can't choose a metric of cluster without choosing a specific cluster.

  Generic interaction Widget Scoreboard is intended by using the configuration of "Mode of Interaction of reference". In other cases, it is impossible to see the results of interaction for the widget.

  Configuration interaction "Res. Interaction Mode' only works for the predefined settings (predefined in the XML file). Also, this resource should be provided during interaction (to make a widget to generic dashboard). User can set the interested metric, which will appear on the dashboard widget after the interaction of the resource.

  Please find below the steps to configure and set of interesting measures via XML file and allow interaction for them, in generic Scoreboard widget:

  (1) edit the file 'sampleScoreboard.xml' in: / usr/lib/vmware-vcops/tomcat-enterprise/webapps/vcops-custom/WEB-INF/classes/resources/reskndmetrics

  (2) configure the XML file by your best adapter type, type of resource, and metric, beaches of colour/threshold for each attribute/metric. And to see that only your metric set register after the interaction resources widget generic Scoreboard (resource).

  (3) ' provider' on OFF display of the widget editing mode.

  (4) select the interaction of your generic Scoreboard widget provide.

  After such a configuration, you can make interaction by resource to generic Scoreboard widget.

  Solved.

  Went into system preferences > Mission Control > Dashboard (overlay, space, off) - OFF - overlay and then again.

  The additional widget was inside the dashboard and I managed to close it with the X.

  I use the WebCenter Oracle 11 GR 1 material Sites and I'm trying to customize the dashboard on the contributor interface using the guide 'contributor Interface: Customizing the dashboard - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0)'.

  However I am unable to add a new < element > with a new ID in the file DashBoardContentsConfig, as permitted the unique ID are bookmarks, and smartlists, processes and extractions. Basically, if I try to add a new < element > with ID 'helloworld', it will not show in the contributor user interface. But if I try to replace the path of the URL of an existing < element > with the path of the HelloWorldHtml file, the content will be displayed instead. How is it? How can I add a new < element > with a new ID so that it is displayed?

  Thanks for sharing the information. I managed to reproduce the problem also after the addition of another widget with custom as "customwidget" component id Looks like once the new widget is added, Sites is still trying to load 5 widgets only, that is, bookmark, smartlist, assignments, extractions and helloworld.

  Other research indicates that the outdated list of widgets from SystemUserPreferences table.

  When you rearrange dashboard widgets, the user preference is stored in the SystemUserPreferences table. The next time the same user connects to the contributor user interface, Sites will get the preference of the user dashboard for this table. For this reason, if a custom/new widget is added after an entry is created for the user in the SystemUserPreferences table, the new widget will not be shown until this entry is deleted from the SystemUserPreferences table.

  To work around this problem, use the site Explorer to access the table of SystemUserPreferences, make a backup of the table and find a line like this:

  UserID = user logged in question, for example fwadmin

  siteid = the user in site in question, for example FirstSiteII

  name = CONTRIBUTORUI:dashboard

  value = [{'label': 'bookmark', 'value': 0}, {"label": "smartlist", "value": 0}, {'label': 'helloworld', 'value': 0}, {'label': 'missions', 'value': 1}, {'label': 'extractions', 'value': 1}]

  delete this line and save the changes to the Explorer of Sites.

  Then, if your disconnect and connect to the UI contributor once again that the user in question, you should be able to see the new custom/widgets.

  NOTE: Make sure to make a backup before you change the database tables manually. Also, you will lose the preferences of the widget (for example positioning) after removing the line.

  Remove these applications of dashboard, then reinstall it.

  To remove a Dashboard widget, click the Remove (-) button in the lower left corner of the dashboard, and then click the button close the unwanted (X) widget.

  I'm probably missing something, even though I thought I followed the documentation to the letter. I want to do is display the memory consumed and physical by cluster, using two great measures.

  (1) the scope of the super o:
  Name: Physical memory capacity of the GVZ Cluster in the UK

  sum (this resource: mem: host_provisioned) / 1048576
  mem: host_provisioned = Resources: host system > memory > memory implemented (KB)

  and:

  
  Name: GVZ use total memory of Cluster (GB)
  sum (this resource: mem: host_usage) / 1048576
  mem: host_usage = Resources: host system > memory > use (KB)

  I tested the two measures with a chart and got the results I was expecting:

  

  (2) added an object type-> adapter vCenter = Compute Cluster resource type, which is shown as types of items as "VMware".

  

  (3) I went in 'administration'-> policies-> political library and choose change strategy 'by default'.

  (4) immediately went to the '5 Metrics vires and properties' section and filtered on my great metric and set it to 'State' = 'Local '.

  

  (5) back to the great metric section, I can now also see the default policies tab 'Strategies '.

  After that, I expect the metric Super to be available for a new dashboard. So I create a new dashboard widget list, I select the widget 'Top - N'. Go to edit the widget and click the metric, set type to 'vCenter adapter' adapter, select the subject 'Computer Cluster resource' and then find the super section metric... and unfortunately cannot see super old metric I have created once but can't remember how.

• Interactions of YouTube widget does not work in Cp7

  I was still not able to take advantage of the new functionality of the widget YouTube pre-built Interaction.   I solved my problem. I thought that I should just copy / paste the link youtube gives you when you click on the button share. However, this does not work for me. If I copied the URL of the browser (which includes watch? v =) then it worked. However, I am disappointed that the button fullscreen is not available in Captivate, but it's still a very interesting feature.

  I can't install Flash Player on my Macbook Pro OS X Lion mountain, due to the error it keep show me, that my dashboard Client is running and I need to shut it down.
