Address book of Smartphones from blackBerry cleared by itself

When I click on my address book all my numbers are gone.  But when someone calls me their name and their number still to come.  So I went in memory, and it says I have 81 numbers saved in the phone.  Also when I use my speed dial names and numbers of people still work.  I have 1733349 bytes of memory still free.  If anyone can help before I wipe my phone outside, please answer.  Thanx

Before cleaning the device try this, choose the address book, press menu and filter, check if you have any active filter.

I have installed the Desktop Manager 4.7 and tried to transfer my address book and calendar from my Palm T3, but it does not work.

Anyone know if it is possible, from Plam T3 to BB Bold?

There are two ways to achieve this.

    (1) use the device switch Wizard in Office Manager.

    (2) synchronize your Palm with Outlook, then synchronize Outlook with your BB using Desktop Manager.

    Hello jaking777,

    You can try the following:

Backup your data to the device as shown here. (We would not need the backup, but it is recommended any time you make a change to the data on the device).

Delete folder Intellisync on your PC as shown here. (This will reset your configuration of PIM in the Desktop Manager).

Clear the address book on the BlackBerry as described here only the task 2. (This will remove all contacts from the device in order to ensure that your data in Outlook are first updated.)

Go back to the Desktop Manager and reconfigure your synchronization as shown here , then test the synchronization once more.

    See you soon!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager has stopped working

"Desktop Manager has stopped working", that's what I get when trying to sync my curve.  He will get through the address book but stops each time on the calendar.  Any suggestions?

Hmm. Maybe it's something in your Calendar database is corrupted. Your device has never been synchronized before? There is a way to clear the Calendar database. So if you have your device to sync with Outlook, after it is cleared from the BlackBerry, you can try to synchronize again.

To clear the Calendar database, you can go to the Office Manager. Backup and restore | Advanced. On the right, select the Calendar database and click the clear button. Then try to synchronize again

  • Smartphones from blackBerry 8320 walkie/malfunction?

Hi I had my edition gold pale 8320 Curve BB for a few months now. During the holidays, perhaps after having dropped the phone, I only can hear/talk to make a call. I can use all the other features, however, and the weird part is that the largest speaker works very well during playback of MP3s, although silent when the calls are put on speaker. What could be the problem and the solution?

Help is greatly appreciated, thanks in adance.

    Welcome to the terzian313 forums

    First try a battery pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

If this does not work, then you will have to reload your OS, since something can be damaged on the phone.

    Backup cell phone: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12487

Then perform a new installation of your operating system: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320

Use the phone for a bit and test it before you restore the backup, just in case the backup contains a corrupted database that is causing the problem. I would only restore specific databases such as the address book and the calendar, nothing extra that can be easily configured again.

Restore backup of individual database: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

  • Help the Smartphones from blackBerry 8900 Curve calendar

    Hi all

Does anyone know how to clear all entires of the grille on a BB 8900 Facebook decided to put all birthday into my calendar, and I don't want them there.

Thanks muchly in advance for your answers.

    Andy

Here you go... (ignore the reference to your address book, this process works for the address book or calendar, in your case).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. The left pane, it is what will be saved from your device, and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • Difficulties of Smartphones from blackBerry to install Blackberry Desktop Software

    First of all.

I tried to install the Blackberry v4.2.2 CD user tools, and it never ends install, to the point that I have to do an end task. Help, please.

With other phones (like the Motorola RAZR V3t) I could send the contacts from my Pocket PC HP iPaq via Bluetooth. When I try to do it with the Blackberry, Pocket PC says that it cannot connect to the Object Push profile (OPP) in the remote device (which is the Blackberry).

    Hi bifocals.

I want to talk about the initial installation.

However, I couldn't find v4.3 as indicated by Bumblepie. So I decided to call T-Mobile, they gave a link to v4.3 and installed fine. I have configured the address book in Outlook and transferred on the curve.

The calendar, notes and tasks do not want to transfer. I don't know that I'm doing something wrong.

I know this will be a learning curve with the curve.

Thank you for your continued support.

  • Problem syncing of Smartphones from blackBerry with Lotus Notes 8 (Windows - no synchronization farm)

    Hello world

I have a problem with the replication of a Blackberry Storm (9500) with Lotus Notes 8.0.2. The desktop software that I am running is version 4.7.0.25 on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3.

After setting up the synchronization of calendar and address book, when you synchronize manually, start the pop-up windows, where one would expect to see the progress bar of the just closed synchronization after a splitsecond.

Even if I put the journal setting within the highest synchronization propertiesto possible value, no log is written at all.

The Windows event logs do not show only one entry for that matter.

When trying to auto-sync after connecting the usb with the computer devicethrough blackberry cell phone, the device is recognized, but still there is no synchronization.

Everyone knows a similar problem before?

    Any hint is appreciated.

    Thank you much in advance.

I'm timing a BB 8120 Pearl v.4.3.0.72 (Platform 2.6.0.43) with Outlook 2007 on Windows XP SP3.  I have sync just the address book and calendar with the default settings.  My BB is connected via a USB port, it is using BIS via Vodafone UK and WiFi is turned on and connected.  It is also used to produce with Desktop Manager 4.6 (that's why I updated).  I tried to reinstall the software.  I also "deleted all user settings' during the uninstall of the previous version.

    Anyone know what is happening?

Clearly, BB technical support either don't read these forums, or are almost useless.

Process of elimination, it seems that all my problems with Desktop Manager and BBDevMgrDeviceListener come from the Toshiba bluetooth driver installed on my Dell laptop.  Without BT enabled in the BIOS (or disabled in Device Manager), all my desktop software works very well.  When BT is running, the desktop software fails of strange how the random crash and the process of BBDevMgrDeviceListener requiring a put to death during the shutdown.

I'm glad that I realized why it was broken but very disappointed that nobody BB even made a first response to the thread or tried even the most basic troubleshooting.  Really pretty poor effort!

When I open the address book and click with the right button on a name and select "Write", the e-mail form opens with my old e-mail account in 'From '. I have not found a framework for this.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Pearl 8120 - Fax field is missing

    Hello

I noticed that when I create a new address book entry there is no fax field. I sync with outlook and the advanced field mapping shows a mapping on the fax machine, but it does not show on the 8120. Someone had the same problem?

    Thank you

I saved my 8120 database and then wiped down to the BONE. I then reinstalled the operating system and that solved the problem. The address book application that came from the factory could have been a little older. Thank you

  • Blackberry Bold 9700 Smartphones from blackBerry backup

    Hello!

I was able to backup data from my phone to the computer before it broke down. (Shows a white screen, I think the problem is the display screen)

    The questions are:

1 is easy to fix the problem?

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

    3. How can I transfer all the data again to a new phone? Should this phone be a Blackberry in order for contacts/messages/photos to be transferred?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

    Hello

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

In my view, that can be firmly answered by a technician with the device by hand. If the problem is not a hardware problem, you might be able to recover it with this:

    • KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any State

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

Natively, the backup file (BBB or RPI, depending on the version of the Desktop software you used) is intended for a single purpose... as the source of restoration to a BlackBerry. But there are several 3rd PC-based 3rd party there apps that can analyze the file backup, some even to do something else with the resulting data. I've never needed, but I heard good things about MagicBerry. Search for a few seconds (for example, on Google) and I'm sure you will find plenty of candidates for your needs.

To transfer to another BB, simply perform the restore:

    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

To transfer to another device, these 3 save game file analysis applications (from your point 2 above) would be your source... you would have to understand what requires this device non - BB and then manipulate the data in the required format and then use whatever of this non - BB device has to load the data on this device.

    Good luck!
