Administrator rights on Vista problems

I am connected to Vista using my profile is the administrator account, but am unable to take any action that requires admin rights. that is the backup and restore, Windows Update, add or remove user accounts, etc. Usually get a generic error asking me to log in as an administrator, sometimes displaying a 0x80070005 error code. Help, please!

-Phil

I had this problem and I had to sign in safe mode and then do a system restore.

  • Installation of policy blackBerry Smartphones MSI group failing due to problem of administrator rights

I managed to install desktop manager 4.6 on my PC using the MSI from the CD. I'm a domain administrator, when I try to install the MSI even on other users in the domain through group policy that are not administrators, that the software will not be installed. I checked and politics is definitively applied and it says on logon the Blackberry Desktop Manager software is installed, but no group icon or a program is created.

I don't want to give users administrator rights because users are not allowed to install the software on their PC. Normally the software installs through the strategy of group with no problem. I don't want to go around for each PC and install manually if I can avoid it.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Work on the problem. All the files from the downloaded package are required to install the application. When you configure the group policy installation only the msi file has been copied into the installation directory.

  • Impossible to uninstall programs as says needs administrator rights

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall programs, but still, he stands up and says I need administrator rights, but it does not give me the "Run as Administrator" at this stage.  Does anyone know how to remedy this?  Thank you.

    Hello

You can uninstall a program from your computer if you no longer use, or if you want to free up space on your hard drive. You can use the programs and features to uninstall programs or to change the configuration of the program by adding or removing certain options.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    1. Open programs and features by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click programs, and then click programs and features.

    2. Select a program and then click on uninstall. Some programs include the ability to modify or repair the program in addition to uninstall. but many simply offer the option uninstall. To change a program, click on change or repair. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

or you have a problem program try the FREE version of revouninstaller

  • How to deepen administrator rights on my computer?

I am running Windows Vista 32 bit on my laptop, and I have problems with file permissions.  I'm trying to change the contents of my file in Windows32 and Vista won't let me access the files there.  I have to do this action in order to save my laptop, but he repeats to me I need administrator rights to perform this action.  I don't have a single account on my laptop, so why can't access these files?  I tried to change the preferences, but words and check boxes are always gray and I can click on them to change them.  How can I access these files?

    Hi Jason,
Before you do a clean install, I recommend you run a SFC scan, this may fix the corrupted files (not always). Give it a try, if this doesn't help, you will need to do a repair/cleaning facility.

    This isn't a problem.
It's a design to prevent unauthorized users to perform certain tasks.
Installation and uninstallation are some of these tasks that require administrator rights.

If you are not an administrator, or you do not have an administrator password, you can not install or uninstall.
    Not another way around it.

  • Removal of administrator rights

    Hello

If I delete my account Admin rights after you create another admin account, in order to continue to use my ex-admin account now for everyday tasks, will I have problems?

    So, to summarize:

    (1) create an admin account for changes in the system etc.

    (2) remove the usual account administrator rights (let's call it "Account BOB," for example) which, until now, had administrator rights

    (3) continue using BOB account for daily tasks

Purpose of the entire operation: ad extra security level.

    Thank you!

    • Administrator: an administrator can add and manage other users, install applications, and change the settings. The new user that you create when you set up your Mac is an administrator. Your Mac can have multiple administrators. You can create new ones and convert standard users to administrators. Don't set up the automatic connection to an administrator. If you do, someone could simply restart your Mac and access with administrator privileges. To secure your Mac, don't share administrator names and passwords.
  • FAQ (27): the SDM requires administrator rights to run?

When I launch SDM, it happens with this dialog box. Is this normal?

Yes. SDM requires administrator rights because it requires the appropriate rights to update or apply SoftPaq updates to your computer.

The above message appears only if UAC (User Access Control) is turned on and that the user doesn't have administrator rights. For more information about UAC, please visit this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Account_Control

UNFORTUNATELY, the SDM version 3.5.0.0 (later from this post) has a problem where it wrong will not recognize the user as administrator if UAC is enabled.

If you have the SDM version 3.5.0.0, have active UAC and you are logged on under an account that has administrator rights and SDM displays the dialog box above, please note that this is a bug found ONLY in the SDM 3.5.0.0 version and will be fixed with the next version.

In the meantime, there are two solutions we can suggest you to work around this problem:

    (1) Although not recommended, you can disable UAC and reboot for the changes to take effect. We do not recommend this approach because UAC protects the computer against attacks. We include this option only for purposes of completeness.

    2) RECOMMENDED WORKAROUND: Force MDS to start with administrator right.  To do this, please follow these steps to work around the problem, until a new version of SDM is available:

    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. Go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\HP SoftPaq Download Manager. Note: If you have a 32-bit operating system, navigate to C:\Program Hewlett-Packard HP SoftPaq Download Manager.
    3. Right click on the file "SoftPaqDownloadManager.exe".
    4. Select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu.

  • Need administrator rights for the Intel on Satellite Pro 2100 speed step

    Hello
    I have a Satellite PRO 2100 (Pentium 4 1.9 GHz).
I have a problem with the function of the Intel speed step, which reduces the speed of the processor at 1.2 GHz. But I have a problem: I can do this, if I use an administrator account...
After starting, if I connect with a simple user account, the Intel speed step works... and the speed of the cpu remains at 1.9 GHz.
So I would like to use this function with a simple user account, how do I do it please?

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hello

As far as I know that this application is not shipped with the image of Toshiba and it s not made not part of the image.
But I put t see any big problems. You will need to change your account administrator rights. In this case, you will need to ask someone the admin right to edit your account.

The other possibility is to change the law for this software. There can be changes as by admin. What you can change in the Security tab in the program properties. Full control must be set to all.

Then, it should be possible to use this application with your account.

I never have this problem on other portable Toshiba (Tecra A4, S2, M1...) Please help :-)

What about the case is clear, if the user wan to access the flash memory module inserted that he needs an admin rights

What you could do is to assign admin rights only for this particular application, which is responsible for flash memory.

I put t know exactly what applications it is but I guess on these program needs the right admin; Memory card SD, SD memory boot utility, format etc.

To assign the authorization right right click on the applications and select Properties.
Here, you have to choose the call of the Security tab.
Then select the user and allow the full control option.
